Martina: Hey Hansi, let's make all elemental tomes in a month. * takes 1.5 years to make all the tomes * Also, like for a vid where we make a mashup of all the builds and show them all together! Have a great week! :D
Hi Martina I have practically seen all you vid and I am a fan all so I must say thank you for the tome of water I have been wait for the fourth tome anyway love the merch and shows keep it up Side note if I had the money I would buy every hoodie that has a tome on it xx Your friend and loyal RUclips califfxx
Your Tome of Water looks incredibly Beautiful NerdForge, I love all the details every last of it. To bad that's the last tome, I wish there were more tomes to add in your collection, Light, Dark, or maybe a tome of Spirit. In Wicca the element of spirit rules over the other 4 elements (also one would really look good in purple😛) Origin: 4 elemental avatar tomes thought to be lost forever, until a young girl born of mystic arts discovers the tome of earth hidden in the deepest forest, goes on a quest to find the hidden tomb and save the world, but if those tome fall in the wrong hands all is lost. Someone should makes this story into a comic book. :) Keep up the incredible NerdForge, hope your next potion project won't hard on you. :)
Now an extra surprise: tome of the avatar, master of all 4 elements, that when we needed it the most, it vanished, and a 100 years has passed when a young girl discovered the avatar tome hidden in the deepest forest.
You know this is actually a great idea. They could even make a tome of Spirit. In Wicca the element of spirit rules over the other 4 elements (also one would really look good in purple😛)
Incredible origin story, 4 elemental avatar thought to be lost forever, until a young girl born of mystic arts discovers the tome of earth hidden in the deepest forest, goes on a quest to find the hidden tomb and save the world, but if those tome fall in the wrong hands all is lost. Someone should makes this story into a comic book. :)
Next tomes: Light and Dark, Life, Death, Earth, Sun, Moon, Space.... Yea, There’s A L O T S of tomes left... JK, I know that you’ve worked HARD on all of your previous tomes and I LOVE you and your works❤️ Stay home, stay safe!
Project idea: Because its a huge pain sometimes to store all these wonderful creations, why dont you design a shelf for them? (Yes I see those in the background but these are lacking space, aren't they?) This would also go hand in hand with showing your previous projects.
This series got me into bookbinding, like REALLY INTO BOOKBINDING, and now I make leather bound tomes using this kind of method for all my friends and shit, and really I’m having a blast every time.
YAYYY! Just a beautiful as the other 3. Here's a merch suggestion for you. Make journals with these covers available for all of us that do things like journaling, dream journals, bullet journaling, sketching, writing down our stories, nature notes, etc. I would definitely buy a complete set of those just to have them on hand. I'm like that though. I buy notebooks and pens. It's kind of an obsessive hobby for me. You should see me when school supplies come out...I get a little carried away with all the nifty things and have to keep a tight hold on the reins. I get to be 70 years old next year and think I will always have this obsession with notebooks and pens. Anyway, I have really enjoyed watching the videos for all these books. Thank you.
I know you said this was the last one, buuuuuut I feel like a tome of death would round it out really well. LEDs in the cover, creepy black covers and rusty metal. Very different from the rest.
While I was expecting a nautical aspect of the book, I was surprised that you used more natural aspects like a cave with dripping water. Nicely done and I hope to see more awesomeness soon 😊
Small tip- when you press the pages after staining them, if you flip half the stack over so the folds aren't all on the same side you'll be able to squish them flatter.
Been watching a lot of your videos over the last week or so and I am seriously impressed by the craftsmanship and quality of everything you and Hansi create. Plus, after watching some of your early vids, I am so glad you've let your effervescent personality shine through in the more recent ones because they enhance everything. And man, Norway looks like such a beautiful country....
I remember when you started this series back over a year ago with that Grimoire, and now you've finally completed the elemental tomes! You should be really proud of yourself, this is both really difficult and really inspiring.
OMG almost a year waiting for this tome to be made!! Finally, my fav element. You made a great job, congratulations!! ♡♡ All of the tomes look amazing!!!! :D
Wow the amount of effort you put into this really shows in the final product. Great work and thank you for sharing how you did it (even tho I’ll never make one I still love watching how you do it). I just had a book that one of my friends adores made into a leather bound tome and your videos really made me appreciate how much work book binding actually is and helped me justify the cost. I feel like everyone expects everything as cheap as possible and no one really thinks about what is involved in the manufacturing process just as I didn’t really think about it until I looked into it and found your channel. Thank you for all your hard work.
Your Tome of Water looks incredibly Beautiful NerdForge, I love all the details every last of it. To bad that's the last tome, I wish there were more tomes to add in your collection, Light, Dark, or maybe a tome of Spirit. I love how you do it in one video and not like "Part 1/5", and you two have such a positive energy, it's always a pleasure to see you :) Cheers from France :)
I'm normally ambivalent towards the sponsored segments but I honestly adore World Anvil not just for writing but also as a LARP and TT player/writer/runner, it's so useful. Especially because players are somehow magically able to recall every detail you've ever said at the least opportune time (At least I never misplaced a mountain). Also I love that your books are bound on cords. It's one of my favorite methods
That's wild. I just watched all your book binding videos this morning at like 2am and all of a sudden there is the water tome in my notifications. Awesome!
I’ve made 3 times this year as gifts because of you. I made a sewing jig from some 2x1 I had, stain the paper with macha. Thanks for your inspiration. ❤️❤️
It was your book series that started me following your channel. They are absolutely beautiful and works of art. They are amazing. Nothing like having what 5-6days go by in 20 minutes. Amazing amount of work involved in each one.
Since I knew I was going to love watching this before opening it, it was an instant like right as the video started. The family of magic tomes grows a little fuller, and your mastery in creating these books is really starting to show with how confidently you moved through the steps. Beautiful work as always! ^_^
Martina my dear lady you have taken basic book binding and turned it back into an art form. You are supremely talented and patient when making your book covers. Excellent job.
Martina, I love watching you make leather bound books. My dad is a book binder here in the states and he has been teaching me his skills. I enjoy watching your process and comparing it to what I do. Great job!
Hey Martina, Hansi, I have 2 questions and 2 suggestions. Questions: 1) Can I base 2 OCs (Original Characters) off of the 2 of you? 2) If so what do you want them to be? I was thinking you, Martina be a elf, witch hybrid or something like that. Hansi could be a human with clear sight that let's him see the supernatural clearly. Suggestions: I noticed you don't upload as often anymore. I'm not sure why but I thought it might be having no ideas. So here's my 1st suggestion: Look back at your past projects. You've made multiple designs for each project. Yet you only make 1 of them and never revisit the project to make another. So you could go back and make another design. You could make new designs too. You've learned a lot since most of your projects. So maybe go back and do another with the new skills you've learned. Your magic wand and magic staff for example. Here's my 2nd suggestion: Mix the things you've done. I've never seen you make a figure for your Dioramas. You've printed or bought them. I understand they're small so many make their tools or something. Like a magic staff or large shield from resin or something. Or maybe make a magical Diorama that has a figure trapped or sealed in a resin crystal. Or make a set. A Diorama, a painting, and maybe tools. Tools: Weapons, armor, jewelry, clothes, and a book. Life sized armor for a male, a female, and maybe a pet. Same with weapons, jewelry, and clothes. An the book could have info about creatures or something. An I don't mean just make the book. I mean draw and write the information. Make a world of your own.
I discovered your channel a month or so ago and I have fallen in LOVE! I love watching your projects come to life and they’ve been a huge inspiration for me as I’m trying to get started with some stuff myself. Thank you for creating such awesome and amazing works and I look forward to future videos/projects!
congrats on making all four!!!! so excited to see all four lined up in the background for the rest of your channel's videos :D can't wait to see where you go from here!!!
Sad that this is the last Tome. I really enjoyed watching them. It is great watching a plan come together and work out exactly the way it is supposed to. Thanks for all of your videos.
I'm glad you finally found the motivation to finish the series and make that one, I know closure helps a lot during stress. The earth tome disappeared for a moment from the shelf ? Used it as a reference ? And wow ! Finally got around to use a specific book binding glue ! That blue is freaking stunning ! Do you plan to fill the books now ?
Hi! Your projects are awsome! To obtain a better old paper you can crumple it before soak it, in this way you obltain a less uniform and more realistic aging. You can also use a little bit of soluble coffee after washing (a better result if you press with a spoon, but carefully because the wet paper is easily thorn). Finally, once baked, you can smoke the pages and burn the edges with a lighter.
I can't believe I'm finally seeing the fourth book!!! This had been epic and I loved the whole thing. Also the suspension of waiting this project to end which started a YEAR AND HALF ago was actually worth the wait !! Love everything you do and I wish I have a credit card so I can support you, but I do my best at sharing and liking. LOL
May you please make an amulet or something, like a fire or water or wild amulet. I think it would be very cool just like the rest of your projects. If not, totally fine, if yes, awesome. Amazing videos by the way.
I just found your magic chest in the film crew video which leads me here to your channel. What u r doing here is absolutely amazing. High level of creativity and patience. Instant sub.
I could honestly watch you make books all day long the videos are amazing.. i have been looking forward to this for a while and its great seeing you improve with each book you make... definitely a necronomicon next....
One of the most satisfying and relaxing videos to watch! I imagine it's like 100 times harder and time consuming than it looks on video, which makes me appreciate it even more! 🤩 Awesome work Martina! 🤘🏻
Love your work! I'm a maker in a lot of various stuff and you got me interested in book binding sometime. Curious though...have you ever thought of incorporating UV resin into your projects? Basically its the same epoxy gel girls put on their nails and harden in a few seconds with a UV light. Folks are packing etched areas with it and gold leafing to get some crazy filigree these days. Also it mixes well with alcohol inks and mica powder. Jewelers use it in carved areas of metal to setup colored filigree and then just polish away any excess. Might be a good tool for you to start adding gems or some wild glossy patters with. You can even get water textures with it by layering it up though large pieces folks tend to use epoxy casting resin for since UV resin is expensive and sold in small bottles. Anyhow from one maker inspired by your work I thought I'd pass along all that in hopes it gives you any exciting ideas you wanna try.
Gotta love this channel. I swear I’ve watched almost all the videos more than once. I’m beginning to wonder how many times I’ve watched her bookbinding videos. I just really like bookbinding.
It came out so cool!! I’m such a sucker for elemental sets of things, these are so fun and inspiring. I feel like if I started bookbinding I’d never want to just write in a regular old composition book again lol
Ahhhhhh, this gives me an idea for a set of tomes I'd like to make. I like to learn about plants, herbs, ecosystems, and witchcraft. I might make my own? It could be fun
It would be awesome if you created a shelf for all of your magical books, so you could see how you progressed on the journey. It could also have stands for all of your other magic creations, like wands, potions, and staffs.
What people dont understand sometimes is how much math and engineering it takes to create something let alone something with alot of awesome detail. Great job :D
Oh my God, thank you so much for blessing us with the sight of your beautiful work, because of you when this pandemic is over I really want to try bookbinding I cant wait!
Yaaay! I just bought things today to start making my very first book after watching the amazing videos on your channel ^^ I'm so excited already days ago!
I'd love to see more themed tomes: Tome of Summer/Winter/Spring/Fall Tome of Light/Purity Tome of Dark/Shadows Tome of Myst Tome of Stone Tome of Metal Tome of Blood Tome of Cosmos/Stars/Astra Tome of Love/Evny/Hate/Greed etc
With this one, I have watched all of your book binding creations - completely out of order. :) Even without the thematic embellishments, they are super pieces of work. Have you ever thought of making something on the lines of a medieval illuminated manuscript? Not a whole one (too much Latin to write of course) but perhaps with an illuminated flyleaf and a large stylized Gothic letter O to start 'Once upon a time...' or illuminated borders... and the rest is blank. Just a thought. :)
Wow. You're so freaking talented!😍 I love how you make these books! 💖 The love, talent, commitment and imagination you put into every project is incredible!💞👏🏻😍
I just bound my first book! It's A little sketchbook, bound in blood red, and black fabric,- it looks as if it's been acid-washed with Vampire Blood! Pretty cool if I should say so myself. I don't own a Book-Press, I couldn't find one. But I was determined to make my own sketchbook: So, I used pretty much everything/anything that was Flat and Heavy, to press the book. I often used two hard covered-books and some workout wights ( a 2-kilos, 5-kilo, and a 1-kilo weight), It works pretty well. The book Itself is not perfect, but that's because it's the first I've ever made, with some practice I should get much better at it. :D
Hey! Just want to quickly address this, because it's not true. If you watch all 4 videos they contain every detail needed to recreate what I made, I speak about different techniques in each video. The Patron series is more specific and particular if you don't want to watch the entertainment stuff :)
That was an epic end to that set! May I say the video quality has improved immensely from start to now! Go you! Can't wait to see what you bring us next!
Now I know what the bumpy bits are on covered spines!!! This is seriously amazing work from start to finish. Do you mind if I ask why the carving and dying is done after the leathers attached? I’d be so scared to get dye everywhere!

Your friend and loyal RUclips califfxx
You should make some sort of display for all the books with thematic LED lighting and stuff!
Is there going to be a light and dark tome as wel?
Yay! I've been waiting for the Tome of Water! Ahh! I love you guys so much! May you receive happiness & good fortune for the rest of your days! 🥰💙

Let's stop the Lord of the fire tome.
YES
Dear Diary, today I learned, that kitchens are for staining paper.
And putting sodium bicarbonate in coffee 😂
THAT'S what kitchens are for!
Thats what a kitchen is for ...
Messes
😂😂😂
Next tomes: Light and Dark, Life, Death, Earth, Sun, Moon, Space....
Yea, There’s A L O T S of tomes left...
JK, I know that you’ve worked HARD on all of your previous tomes and I LOVE you and your works❤️
Stay home, stay safe!
but srsly that idea is brilliant!
Well if Martina won't make them then i will! The Tome of Dark sounds badass
Anan Zhang that already tome of earth.
Yes! There are so many alchemical elements left to do- The Tome of Iron, Tome of Saltpetre, Tome of Quicksilver....
We need the Necronomicon, bound in real human skin
Project idea:
Because its a huge pain sometimes to store all these wonderful creations, why dont you design a shelf for them? (Yes I see those in the background but these are lacking space, aren't they?)

Cool idea!!! I hope she does this

JM Art1 What The Fhupppp....... Tell me more
Yaaaah, like a Narnia-fantasy inspired shelf. (there is a youtuber who made a closet inspired by Narnia out of palate-wood. It looks awesome!)
This series got me into bookbinding, like REALLY INTO BOOKBINDING, and now I make leather bound tomes using this kind of method for all my friends and shit, and really I’m having a blast every time.
Maybe now you should make elemental wands for these elemental spellbooks... just saying ^^
Oooh instead of water fire air and earth she could do Blood Soul Darkness and light
And a potion to go with them as well.
Elemental wands for the books
Yeah it’d be even better if the wands were pens
And some elemental staffs...
Thank you.
Roxanna Weaver love this idea!
Love this idea!
2 years late but yes to this idea!!
I know you said this was the last one, buuuuuut I feel like a tome of death would round it out really well. LEDs in the cover, creepy black covers and rusty metal. Very different from the rest.
This is exactly how I imagined a time of darkness
Maybe a tribute to DiabloIV who know if Blizzard Games ask this request to valorize her works🥶😈☠️
Like the Book of Death in the Abhorsen series by Garth Nix! Frost and metal...
While I was expecting a nautical aspect of the book, I was surprised that you used more natural aspects like a cave with dripping water. Nicely done and I hope to see more awesomeness soon 😊
Oh my god! I can’t believe the tome of water is finally made! I love how it looks and I am so happy for you that it is finally done.
The most aesthetic coffee making ever ☺️ though it was not for drinking 😂😂
Peter McKinnon would approve :D
Although the effect is quite pleasing it does almost physically hurt this coffee addict to see coffee abused in such a way. LOL
Small tip- when you press the pages after staining them, if you flip half the stack over so the folds aren't all on the same side you'll be able to squish them flatter.
This video made me so happy. I love the elemental tome series. Love how they all turned out. You are such an inspiration Martina!

The book is beautiful! And those last shots were epic 😄
How dare you not use the holy chair
*In a clearly sarcastic voice*
No idea how I ended up here, but this looks awesome!
The Tome of Water is complete! Turned out excellent, will look nice all displayed together. Great job :D
In the words of GIR who was allowed to self destruct, “FINALLY!”
Wooh! It’s looks so good! Love the vibrant color you gave it.
I remember when you started this series back over a year ago with that Grimoire, and now you've finally completed the elemental tomes! You should be really proud of yourself, this is both really difficult and really inspiring.

By the way looked awesome!
Hey Martina, Hansi, I have 2 questions and 2 suggestions.

Your music choices for the scenes were amazing. Quality book, quality video, and you managed to keep both your eyes.
I discovered your channel a month or so ago and I have fallen in LOVE! I love watching your projects come to life and they’ve been a huge inspiration for me as I’m trying to get started with some stuff myself. Thank you for creating such awesome and amazing works and I look forward to future videos/projects!
Beautiful does not describe the work you have done and the creations you have made. Such beautiful work worthy of the elements. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, thank you!
For some reason she seemed happier than usual in this video and that made me smile the whole time!
congrats on making all four!!!! so excited to see all four lined up in the background for the rest of your channel's videos :D can't wait to see where you go from here!!!
I'd watch these fantasy craft videos all day. You are a legit artist. Like... with all mediums. Its stunning.
Sad that this is the last Tome. I really enjoyed watching them. It is great watching a plan come together and work out exactly the way it is supposed to. Thanks for all of your videos.

thank you think you thank you so much for introducing world anvil
I immediately went on and checked it out and I am very excited
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! Thank you for brightening this quarantine! ❤
I just found your magic chest in the film crew video which leads me here to your channel. What u r doing here is absolutely amazing. High level of creativity and patience. Instant sub.
Where do you always get this absolutely gorgeous music??? I love everything about this video 😩 also, please do more bookbinding videos 😏✨❤️
Now I just need a video of all the Tomes together, so I can watch it in a loop and drool over how beautiful they are. Great job, Martina!
SO COOL! It's been a long time coming but it was oh so worth it. Great work on all of them!! Can't wait for more projects from you! 💜
I always wondered how books like this were made... just breathtakingly fabulous. Thank you for sharing

Beautiful!!! I have wached each time you have made a book. And they have helped me rebind a book that i wanted redone.💖💜💖
Wow, thank you!
Gotta love this channel. I swear I’ve watched almost all the videos more than once. I’m beginning to wonder how many times I’ve watched her bookbinding videos. I just really like bookbinding.
I love how everytime she's about to finish a project the music becomes so epic as if she's about to finish her journey
I can see why your channel is called nerd forge you literally forge journals and it’s beautiful!
Waited so long for this and I must say it was worth it !!
Slight Idea for a new project, those display cases for each tome you’ve done so far
Your work is STUNNING-would so love to own one of your books!! Thanks for sharing.
Im very happy you make those type of ads, you literally make me enter again to see it, keep going!!!
It would be awesome if you created a shelf for all of your magical books, so you could see how you progressed on the journey. It could also have stands for all of your other magic creations, like wands, potions, and staffs.
Copper would have been gorgeous on that blue. I love all the books you've done! Beautiful work
Nooo we needed a shot of the book on the self with the others! Also Congratulations on finishing them all!
I love your book tutorials and can't wait to make one for my WoW cosplay in the future.
make a video of all the four tomes with different theme background and you with 4 different costumes please!! it's so cool I want to have it all!!!
Gorgeous book! The building process is fascinating to watch. Also, you make a beautiful tome wielder. :)
What people dont understand sometimes is how much math and engineering it takes to create something let alone something with alot of awesome detail. Great job :D
I love this one so much! Thank you very much for this series, i like them all, but this one is my favorite.
Woot Woot.. Finally done and looks amazing as usual... Now hopefully we can get a group shot of all 4 up on the shelf together!!!
O M G! With this book and waterfall you just look like some goodnes of water!
I can't wait to see the tome of water in the back with the rest of them. It's the aesthetic this channel deserves 😤
omg I just love your books, I've been trying myself to learn how to do this, but Just wanted to let you know their all beautiful.
I'd love to see more themed tomes:
Tome of Summer/Winter/Spring/Fall
Tome of Light/Purity
Tome of Dark/Shadows
Tome of Myst
Tome of Stone
Tome of Metal
Tome of Blood
Tome of Cosmos/Stars/Astra
Tome of Love/Evny/Hate/Greed etc
With this one, I have watched all of your book binding creations - completely out of order. :) Even without the thematic embellishments, they are super pieces of work. Have you ever thought of making something on the lines of a medieval illuminated manuscript? Not a whole one (too much Latin to write of course) but perhaps with an illuminated flyleaf and a large stylized Gothic letter O to start 'Once upon a time...' or illuminated borders... and the rest is blank. Just a thought. :)
Do you ever use the books to write or sketch out other craft ideas? That would be really cool to see, an elemental tome with themed sketched in it
I KNEW IT! THE WATER TOME 😍😍😍😍. I saw your story in ig and saw a sneak peak of it on a waterfall. IT WAS AWESOME!
I would love to see you doing calligraphy with a quill in these or some of your other books
Wow. You're so freaking talented!😍 I love how you make these books! 💖
The love, talent, commitment and imagination you put into every project is incredible!💞👏🏻😍
Beautiful work, as always. That blue color is stunning.
Incredible! Could you achieve a weathered look on the leather somehow by wiping on gray stain into the cracks and then wiping off the majority of it?
13:55 Martina Looking like a water goddess
I just bound my first book!
It's A little sketchbook, bound in blood red, and black fabric,- it looks as if it's been acid-washed with Vampire Blood!
Pretty cool if I should say so myself.
I don't own a Book-Press, I couldn't find one. But I was determined to make my own sketchbook:
So, I used pretty much everything/anything that was Flat and Heavy, to press the book.
I often used two hard covered-books and some workout wights
( a 2-kilos, 5-kilo, and a 1-kilo weight), It works pretty well.
The book Itself is not perfect, but that's because it's the first I've ever made, with some practice I should get much better at it. :D
I find it disappointing you FINELY give us a full set, but you set most of the process behind a paywall. Thanks for that.
Beautiful tome, amazing series, and you guys are awesome!
I really like how the blue dye turned out.
This channel deserve more viewers the content is superb. I like it has sense of magical spellbook.
I love the tiles in your kitchen!
