You make killer and mega-informed videos. I was looking for videos to help me understand this trim and the luxury, which I recently ordered, and your videos are the most informative. You made everything that confused me about the car understandable (the left-side panel that doesn't do anything, the console screen buttons, the reason for no wireless apple/android functions, etc.). Just want you to know you're top tier. Cheers!
very good car review. i enjoyed the extra info about the steel and small details like the map button 😀. Question; Are IVTs known to be reliable or are they still fairly new? What other cars have IVTs that are known for lasting long? Has IVT been known for any faults or issues? It seems cool but idk if it has a long enough track record of being reliable? The car looks great ! wish it had a better drivers seat tho with automatic and lumbar adjustment. dont need auto in passanger just would be cool for the tech package... you also said there is a higher trim??? i thought this was the highest? whats the model that is fully LOADED 🤔 ? THEN..
The IVT on these has been used for about 4 years by Hyundai now, and about 8 years by Kia. They have been very reliable actually. There's actually 4 Elantra models higher then this. The: -luxury -Luxury hybrid -N-line ultimate -N performance Here's my video on the N-line ultimate: ruclips.net/video/a1-qNG2bWPw/видео.htmlsi=nepdToCkhGnN0GfZ
@@edsgarage001 read again the ordered vehicle detail and it seems like the luxury trim also misses the power seat but included in N-line ultimate only. I recall that 2022 or 2021 model had them in luxury trim or ultimate trim they called back in the days. Quite depressing that they removed them but the price getting changed every year.
@@edsgarage001I did pick up my luxury trim of elantra 2024 few days ago and I'd like to double check few points from you. 1. I heard the digital key is now available on Elantra 2024 mode, but I don't see the option to activate on my bluelink app. 2. I also found from lots of forums that I supposed to get my card key from the dealer as I pick up the car which I didn't. Does Canada models do not include the card key? 3. I believe luxury trim cums with adjustable cup holders that is adjustabls by reversing it which I also don't have it. Not even the basic one that comes in lower trim but the place for big and deep slots to put bottles. I have talked with my nearby locations and they were only telling me that they don't know, and I feel like I am getting scammed...
I haven't seen a luxury yet, so I can't answer some of your questions yet. Digital key settings can be found on the infotainment screen under, "settings" "vehicle" "digital key". If your door handles only have touch sensitive divets instead of physical mechanical buttons, then you should also have digital key. But in Canada, we don't get the key cards
Thanks for the information on the hyundai elentra i was wondering do you know which trim level has a arm rest with cup holders for rear seats for the 2024
Hey, Ed - bought my Elantra Hybrid last February, still loving it. I'm glad they put USB charging in the back seat. I thought they also put front facing cameras and birds eye view on the tech package, but clearly not; maybe on a higher trim level. Thanks for a great video! PS: my remote has 5 buttons, but the new remote just has 4. What did they delete?
Ed, apparently there's a fifth button for the trunk recessed into the side edge of the remote. Also, it looks like high end trims in the US are getting 360 camera view, and blind spot cameras like the Sonata. Maybe in Canada, too? We can hope - Charlie
Just curious to know the reason why Canadian version cut off the features of bird view and the left/right turn monitors, those features are awesome and is kinda sad that Canadian version of Elantra doesn’t have these features in any trims.
Idk if your in the states but in the states the base sel comes with 16 inch black rims and the sel tech package comes with the 17 inch silver rims like this one. So i believe your seeing the silver 17 inch ones casue of the tech package!
You could start the car halfway around the world ☺️ As long as the car has a cellular connection and you've got Internet access, you can do everything on bluelink.
Actually yes. The luxury trim, in Canada anyway includes 17-in wheels, LED tail lights, LED integrated side mirror turn signal repeaters, dark chrome finishes, digital key capability, leatherette seats, Bose premium audio, Sirius XM and HD audio with eight speakers including a subwoofer, wireless charging pad, 640 split rear bench, rear seat armrest with cup holders, front passenger seat back pocket, junction turning detection for the forward collision system, smart cruise control with stop and go, highway drive assist, electronic parking brake.
Thank you for the comment Currently the Elantra only has wireless AA/carplay in the non navigation systems. Hyundai's that have been fully redesigned like the Kona, Sonata, and Santa Fe have wireless AA/Carplay on all trims. But check this out: ruclips.net/video/TOvGpsYZP8g/видео.html
Check out the Hyundai website for your country, as it will detail the differences... But here's some of the major upgrades: EPB - Electronic Parking Brake with autohold Digital Key 2.0 (NFC) Leatherette Seats Bose premium audio system with 8 speakers

I think you might be referring to the "sounds of nature" option. So if you press the Media button, you can choose sounds of nature, which is basically nature sounds with some background music.
@@edsgarage001 I should say we actually ordered two. The hubby wanted the Essential as he never uses anything on it. Still a great car either way. I love the new look to!
The 21 only has it in the non-navigation system. The 21 Elantra with navigation doesn't have it. The new ccnc systems in the Sonata, Kona and Kona EV are the first hyundais to include wireless carplay/AA with their built in nav systems
hi i just bought hyundai elantra prefered suntech from a hyundai dealership. i have a question related to one of the part which i think is missing. when i opened the passanger side door and sit outside the car to look underneath the passenger seat foot side. i saw that there is a open cercuits visible by an eye which can be dangerous for passenger, if he/she can put there feet more in, it may cause a serious injury. so is it a mission part or it comes in the same way? is it same in yours one too?
It's an annoying disagreement with Apple.... They wanted to map button to go to their maps and hyundai wanted the map button to go to their map screen. So the base model doesn't have built in maps, so no button equals no disagreement. It's been solved now though, so future models will have wireless in all trims
@@edsgarage001 interesting! I'm looking at elantras for the near future, this trim level in particular so that's a bit of a bummer. I suppose not the end of the world though
If you're talking about old Elantras from 15 years ago, sure... But these days the Elantra is extremely reliable. I would put the Elantra up against the Corolla and day.
Already had 2019, got engine oil burning, coolant leaks once it reached 200000 kms. Other than this spark plug and ignition coil’s replacement is a big headache in Elantra’s like BMW’s , have to change after every 70000 kms.
200,000km is a pretty decent turnout for any engine. Plus your experience isn't going to be the same for everyone. The Corolla of the same vintage has had some issues with noisy knocking noises from the transmission as well as some low pressure fuel pump problems. No manufacturer is immune to issues.

The Canadian dollar is terrible, and it's a small market. So they need to sacrifice some stuff to keep the costs down.
