Let me catch my breath...once again, I am thrilled beyond belief. This is wonder...awe...and joy bundled up in one captivating spectacle. I love this collection; the stunning use of colour (or the absence thereof), textures that beg to be touched, and shapes that defy reality. Mr. Browne elevates fashion to a higher level. One that is honestly emotive and genuinely thought-provoking.
I have only recently discovered the magical world of Thom Browne...but I experience a strange familiarity with his themes and his fantastical interpretations...he elevates and exaggerates the seemingly mundane and beckons us to look at the world in a different, and decidedly, more beautiful way. At the very least, he makes us smile and what could be better than that.

Now this is combination of art and commerce for me. You can actually wear these clothes like that ( if you're fashionista enough ) or take them apart and pair them with "ordinary" pieces. Got a lot of flak for saying the Comme de Garcon show was unwearable crap. This is how you can be "artistic" and "commercial" at the same time.

This designer is a mighty fine jokester: first, up come the ballet dancers dressed in Venus of Willendorf outfits, next up come the low-rise tuxedoes. Then, the dog-shaped handbag as a satire on those ladies who carry around their tiny dogs in their handbags. It's hilarious. There is a lot of craft and unique matching of patterns and fabrics involved in this show as well, showcasing the power of this designer's craft. The clothes are "out there" in the best possible way. Only the skeleton dress looks like a theme very common in of the goth scene, making it stick out as something much less original than what else is on display.
EricB256 dog shaped hanbags are not satire on those ladies that carry around tiny dogs in their handbags... But "an ode" to dear his dog, "he dedicated those handbags to his dog".

A Tribute to Vivienne Wedgwood ! Costumes completely renovated to anchor the staging. Retrofitted with the Fluvlog show company's chief designers ... unmistakable !!! Impressive that creativity hasn't been lost to the American Fashion scensters. Certainly playing up the LA Lifestyle via London's dodgy sci-fi reputation from the Sixties. Not entirely different. Yet clearly well executed Mod Op-Art Artistry. Mid-Century Modern.

What's this horror flick.
Now i love creativity, and always bitch that fashion lately been void of it. But how can u really take any of this in... its so tedious and excessive... not in a good way either... needs some editing and agility haha..
Closing on a good note tho... i love how he started off with the yearning for positivity and the cartoonish dream like delusion.. was of a dream truly, and as the looks began to come out, at a snails pace. we are introduced to amazing sci-fi ish structured pieces that made the future brighter and us wanting more.. all to be taken away with the reality of death and sex.. for some the only truths.. all to be forgotten again by a pretty gay uni pony haha

Верхняя часть одежды - прекрасна, но нижняя часть одежды крепится и непрактична, т.к. в любой момент женщина может лишиться её. Первые модели в одеждах с большими грудями, причём их 6, указывают место женщины - её обязанности рожать и выкармливать детей. Больше всего поразило выражение лица - нет и намека на радость. Модные вещи должны приносить удовольствие, а этого как раз таки и нет. Это послание женщинам.

This is a fashion show? ON Mars, maybe? NOTHING that would interest any normal woman. If the designer (??!??) is trying to interest buyers it is certainly a very strange way to do it. Not a single commercial garment here. Not even a one-off custom garment. The only place to wear any of this stuff is right in this show!
You didn't find it "commercial"? I thought there were so many pieces, skirts, blouses, coats, etc you could take apart and wear off the catwalk. Loved it all. Did you see the Comme show ? That was unwearable IMO.
