“I must have blacked out” 😂😂 Thanks for trusting me to take you down it for your first time! Never seen anyone ride everything on their first go like you did! Hope you are recovering well from Covid! 🤘
Hey Nate, this is gonna be a little weird but I'm Ryan and I met you last year at snake hollow after hitting some of those rock drops first time and got your number to go on morning rides that were being led at the time. I think those have stopped now but if you ever feel the desire to lead another monkey virgin down the trail I'd really appreciate it! I've been trying to progress with a new bike and shock , and after getting a feel for the Grafton dh I feel like I'm ready to try monkey. But I wouldn't want to do it alone, nah'mean? Anyway lol lemme know if I don't creep ya out too much
Watching you guys drop in on rock verts gave me the courage to finally drop into a bowl at my local skate park. Not the steep section, but coping none the less and I feel so much more confident than ever. It also helps my lady seems to have more confidence than me and keeps saying she will do it first if I do not... even when she decides not to try lol
That was WILD. Glad to have videos like yours to cope with being out of the saddle until April (decimated my collarbone on the trails) Stay safe out there my friend!
Damn. This is sick! Glad you’re back to riding and hope the Covid recovery is quick! I said it on another video, b it you can hear the joy in your voice being back on the bike!
Gotta do those reps for Jordie. Had edit to say you really killed it, and glad you are recovered from the injury. Great riding. Fitness & health breed confidence. Shows you have been putting in the work off the bike.
Hope your COVID bout passed well, I remember the days when you were quarantined at berm peak 😂 . Can't wait for the next upload, you've been doing a ton more. I've been loving it.
Even my home town trails look intimidating when you walk them. You’re so focused when you’re riding and then considering the speed. You don’t get to stop and smell the roses lol
Sick video!! Love how underbites you were but just made it happen! Love it ! Those water bottles are worthless! Haha! Hope you get to make that trip! Bad luck brings good luck !! Go get it!
I got my Diamondback Catch (27.5+ release) back in 2017, and I keep thinking I'm gonna get a new bike... but it's still so capable! I did put a 1.5 degree angled headset on mine, and the bike loves it. Highly recommend.
I never clamp my wheel downwards because once i had a rock hit the lever and undo it completely, luckily i realised it but it could have ended badly, since then always tighten them upwards
For anyone curious where the name “Flying Monkey” came from. I THINK is it because the top of the Mesa the we’re riding down had a military base that use to test experimental ejection seats back at the end of WWII and the Cold War. They used monkeys as a human sit in. So there were flying monkeys in the air around the base. Rumor is the lost some monkeys and they are still somewhere on the side of the Mesa still strapped in. I did not help build or name this trail. But I am pretty sure that’s where the name came from.
I'm rolling 150mm F/R and I'm still not sure that would be enough...lol...those are some really raw trails...my biggest fear on those is a pedal strike and getting bucked off the side of a cliff...lmao
Nice video! I recently got hit by a car while on my bike and it cut my riding and race season very short so it was good to share in some of the stoke that you had. Ride or die!
There is no way I would ever ride Flying Monkey. I see people there all the time when riding my gravel bike up to Smith Mesa. Suicidal Tendencies is the sketchiest I have ridden in St. George. Which was harder, Ore Chute or Flying Monkey?
“I must have blacked out” 😂😂 Thanks for trusting me to take you down it for your first time! Never seen anyone ride everything on their first go like you did! Hope you are recovering well from Covid! 🤘
You are crazy and such a good rider. I'll show it to Kaden so he can see how bad A his teacher is lol

@@jordanwebber8227 haha i don’t know about that! We are lucky to have awesome trails around though!
I am one of those that rode this with Nate last year and couldn't do that drop. Scary AF! Props to you!

Perfect ride to pull out of the bag on Rampage week! I need to get out west and ride!
I know it’s been there for a min now but I LOVE the new channel art! Great vid!

Walking back up the trail really nails how tough it is. Great found footage and a joy to watch!
Glad you are back riding regularly Alex. Keep exploring, riding, and making us all jealous!
That makes two of us Joe!

The video of you climbing back up just proves how much the GoPro effect tames trails. Would love to see this trail shot from a different perspective.
That trail looked intense! Nice riding and thanks for sharing
love these types of videos from you! keep killing it man !!
Such a sweet but sketchy looking trail man.. great riding for sure! Thanks for the vid 🤘
All this bad luck will turn around eventually! Always look forward to your videos man, hope you get back to 100% soon
Even my home town trails look intimidating when you walk them. You’re so focused when you’re riding and then considering the speed. You don’t get to stop and smell the roses lol
Didn’t appreciate the size of those boulders until you hiked back up the trail. Wow!
Sick video!! Love how underbites you were but just made it happen! Love it ! Those water bottles are worthless! Haha! Hope you get to make that trip! Bad luck brings good luck !! Go get it!
The west riding just always hits different. Would love more if you got it!!! So rad.

Amazing trail, great riding. Props on clearing the first drop, that looked nuts.
Looks like Portal at the end of Mag 7. Crazy ride.
Rode that trail twice a few years ago, way more stressed out watching it then riding it!😱 Nice job! I'm hoping to hit it next week again after Rampage
Great run!!!
Nothing like being underbiked on a serious trail, that's the heart of mtb.
hahaha for real!
dang that looked gnarly.
glad you found your bottle.
hope you're feeling better from covid!
Wicked gnar. Well done STS
Awesome riding. Hope you have recovered from Covid
I rode Ahab the other day on a 27.5, similar experience. Good job bros!
WILD! so much different than riding on the E coast. good stuff 🤙🤙
Wow! Crazy trail - definitely not a lot of margin for error that's for sure 👍👍
This trail is tue real deal! nice riding, looks perfectly puckery
so you got me curious & I went & watched Nate Hills video on Kong & holy hell that trail is no joke
love your videos man, cheers from brazil
Take care of yourself.
Flying Monkey is no joke and a fantastic trail! Thanks for visiting us desert rats. :)
Legendary words were uttered on that land.
"Just roll it"
BKXC collaboration in the making????.....I like it....I like it alot.
Awesomely scary trail, far beyond my skills - but so cool to see it on vid. And was the Brian Kennedy at the end?
I never clamp my wheel downwards because once i had a rock hit the lever and undo it completely, luckily i realised it but it could have ended badly, since then always tighten them upwards

The pucker factor definitely crossed through GoPro. We’ll done

Dude no way I'd ever ride that..... props.....
Wow! A flippin insane and awsome ride! I got a big laugh from the must've bkacked out statement! I've done that myself..
"I must have blacked out". I laughed
Nice video! I recently got hit by a car while on my bike and it cut my riding and race season very short so it was good to share in some of the stoke that you had. Ride or die!
My hands were sweating watching this craziness.
This is incredible. Thanks for sharing been along time sub and just wanna show some support! So stoked for you!
I love tech trails but damn this straight doesn’t look fun AT all!!! Great job knocking it out on your 27.5”🤙🏻
Dang that looked sketchy. So much that even your water bottle jumped off. 130 and 27.5. You killed it sir !!
I remember seeing this trail on hardtail party.... your all nutts
Excelent video 👏👏👏👏
How did you like that bomber fork on thar bike as compared with fox?
Honestly I think it's a super good fork and an incredible value!
I have a Bomber V2 and I love it! Great value for well under 1k.
For half the video I was like "bro I've seen this before this isn't new" then I remembered I'm on the patreon so I saw it when it happened 😂😂😂
Awesome cool epik trail 👍🤘❤❤❤
Yeah! wow!
that is so good, fully involved riding hey
That's gnarly as frig!!
Do you ever ride with a small hydration pack? They're so convenient for sipping real quick and they don't fall off
Holy exposure dude!
Even just watching the video " Don't look to the right" very sketchy! Gives me the willies!!!
nice job on the monkey!
Wow, that was some damn fine riding, guys!
Thanks Mark! I had a great guide and I think that was key
Alex, your mom called and said to tell you to make your bed, she taught you better than that.
Never has been my thing 😂
This was an epic ride. So sick.
Does a fatter front tire fit? That would help for sure.
What bike do you punish here?
Hey go to eagle man or conner canyon next time you go to utah
That looks a lot like our area here in Grand Junction
Crazy dude 🤩🤘🔥
Yo if your ever back in New England hit me up. You can a vid on what its like to drop in after 4 years of no riding (me), At Lincoln Woods in RI.
Wow! It was terrifying to watch!
Fidlock ejection?
Glad to hear another healthy person recovered from Covid. Go shred.
I would love to see some more Van life stuff! How life is, more of your daily routine.
You absolute mad lad.
😎🤘
Awesome video
Now that what I call a “focus” trail. Full attention, all the time. No enjoying the scenery unless you wish to join it.
Bro, that's crazy! Looked like you lost your water bottle too! lol
nevermind,,,,I just watched the rest of the video and I'm glad you found it!
the exposure here is insane
It truly is
I watched this 6' away from my monitor. Live stoked, ride hard, get covid free!
hahaha whatever it takes! 🤘
holy shit that got my heart going😵
This video was insane 😳
Hey Alex, whats going on with the bikes right now? Havent seen you riding the Diamondback for ages, thought you just had the Fezzari (and the DJ).
Old footage that he never posted, but wanted to give us a video as he recovers from covid…did you watch the first part of the video…?
There is no way I would ever ride Flying Monkey. I see people there all the time when riding my gravel bike up to Smith Mesa. Suicidal Tendencies is the sketchiest I have ridden in St. George. Which was harder, Ore Chute or Flying Monkey?
I got two pinch flats and a broken rim just from watching this.
2:36 nice view
Dude I’m glad you’re feeling better. But I’m having serious deja vu. I swear I’ve seen this video before?you sure you didn’t release it before?.
It was on my patreon, but never on youtube!
That splains it 😏
it's funny you look more uneasy traversing that terrain on your feet than you do on your bike
Holy sh!t balls!! 😮😮🤘🏻🍺
I’m not a riding on the edge of a cliff kinda guy lol
Bro I live here
RIP JORD!!
Hey
No. No. Just no. But watching you do it was great. :-)
