Lots of work has been done in the last month or so too! Meadows got all new steep, poppy lips. The volunteer trail builders have been doing insane amounts work for the community in the last year. They deserve crazy amounts of props for the sweat equity. The trails are running the best they ever have.
The wife and I truly enjoy your videos very very much! We love love love that you edit the majority of profanity out of your riding videos. Thank you for entertaining us and keeping your videos PG rated. The way you edit your videos makes them so so entertaining and enjoyable. 😁
I camp at Alafia at least three times a year and able to ride into North Creek trail right from my campsite. Unbelievably sweet. Always hit Balm Boyette since it's only 10 minutes away. By the way you can get into the system quicker than four miles if you take Inception. And you can follow the blue lines the whole way until you get to Ridgeline. Super fun!
I’m amazed every time I see the results of effort and determination to make this possible in a place like Florida. If there is a will, there is a way! 😎
Man we must have just missed you both in Alafia and Balm. I was there about a month ago. Always great to watch your vids and great to have you back making them. Cheers Mate.
More of this please! We need more representation in Florida for people to be interested in mtb here so we can get more trails made (and hopefully some themed trails, this state IS THE theme park capital IMO)
To me it’s trail systems like this that make the short travel bike or “down country” market make sense. I bet flying around on a revel ranger, yt Izzo, epic evo, etc type bike would be SO much fun on those trails.
I just started both mountain biking and watching your channel, and it is so crazy seeing this video and realizing you are riding at the parks I am learning at!
Those are my local trails also! They trail crew has been putting in so much work, they are doing an amazing job! That ride into and out of balm Boyette is no joke🤣 kills me every time
Great video, thanks for putting it together! I would love to see Boyette get a little more credit than just Ridgeline. It can be ridden as a 15mi Blue/Black loop with more great trails and big jump opportunities.
That's dope! Never thought you can have fun on a mountain bike without mountains but they did a good job cutting in that trail and working with what they got! 💪💪💪
Always cool to see you here! Being from around Tampa I get to ride Alafia a couple times a week and you’re right, it’s become a true theme park for riding!!
Duuuude, idk if you’ve checked it out yet but Lost Meadow was revamped this past holiday and it is buttery smooth, like a paid bike park jump line. You have to see it if you haven’t already
1:47 That 'no riding while wet' sign is something I have only ever seen at dirt jump spots. Never even thought that would be a thing lol. If that was a thing up in BC we'd almost never get to ride
Man I wish the trail systems up here in Pensacola would take some plays from the Alafya and Santos trail systems. Muskogee MTB trails are about as close as we can get to good trails up here... They honestly probably need better funding though. Thanks for the content Alex! LFRHGS!
Maaaan we were up in BB last week. That inride is a bit long especially straight to RL but the riding is worth it. Ridgeline is a solid trail and Alafia is awesome also. Carter road makes up the trifecta in the area and is very good also.
Enjoyed this Florida riding you presented. I do not often comment on most channels I watch but I do like and subscribe to about 6 or 8 mountain bike channels and you and Seth are my favorites. Also MKXC has a great channel. Please keep your content flowing on RUclips. Also I am a retired recreation vehicle mechanic of 45 years in that trade. I suggest you put an inline carbon filter between your fresh water jug and your kitchen faucet. Sawyer makes a great inline & water bottle filter combo kit. Even if your water hose & tank get a little disgusting the filter will assure you a safe drinking water experience. Also Camco makes a activated carbon Silver nitrate filter you can use on a garden hose to prefilter your water out of a garden spigot hose into your 7 gallon tank. The camco filter is also available at Walmart. I hope you improve your water situation in the Van with these ideas. You will not regret it. I lived full time in a camping trailer and used the Camco filter religiously. The silver nitrate in that filter also cuts down on that contamination on your hose and tank. Love n your channel i will keep subscribing and liking all of your content.👍👍🤜
I feel like every zombie movie starts out like that moment with the buzzards. Simple out of an ordinary event, people either ignore it or find it a little odd and funny. 5 years later, "We should have known..."
Hit up Santos if you’re still in town. Get that trifecta going. On a side note. If you’re still here I’ll quit my job right now just to ride with you for a day. Maybe 2 days? Haha, love ya buddy!
hey by chance did you ever work at ringside cafe in downtown St Pete you look super similar to a bartender i worked with. anyways i love your videos please don't stop.
@thesingletracksampler I have a genuine question. I’m pretty new to mountain biking. I feel like these Black Diamond trails are just so much different then a black trail here in CO. I totally understand the GoPro effect but I feel like there is a pretty big difference. Do you feel that a black diamond in Florida is easier then CO? Honest question.
Much easier.. I’m from NC rode a lot of the western Carolina mountains. Living in Tampa at the moment and Alafia is my local spot currently. It’s still very fun, but doesn’t hold a candle to the Carolina’s much less Colorado black diamonds
From what I understand, the difference is a technical trail vs a flow trail. Most Colorado trails are rather technical and rocky, but Florida kinda just has dirt and flowing hills at most.
@@smileyguyz they’re unique for sure. I wouldn’t ride down here without an e-bike. Florida trails are flowy and feel more like an obstacle course but in a good and fun way. They’re legit. Lots of drops and a very unique kind of trails. Alafia is amazing. Definitely worth checking out in the winter months! January/February riding in shorts and t-shirt is pretty sick lol
@@smileyguyz Back in the day, the Florida tech was just as hard as the stuff up north but the new crops of riders are unfortunately only interested in jumping so its been dumbed down a pretty significant amount over the years.
Of course, generally there are one or 2 moves that require skill so “they” will give a rating based on that. This is close to the best Florida has to offer, come, enjoy the outdoors, get a peddle in and sweat. Love Colorado trails too.
You say 4 miles like it’s a lot. I guess a 4 mile jump line is long, but 4 miles as a trail is a sad 15 minutes. I want to be hammering for at least an hour, so my rides are almost always 15-35 miles.
I ride at Balm quite often. That entrance fire road is an absolute beast. Can't stand it. Lol
Lots of work has been done in the last month or so too! Meadows got all new steep, poppy lips. The volunteer trail builders have been doing insane amounts work for the community in the last year. They deserve crazy amounts of props for the sweat equity. The trails are running the best they ever have.
This right here. After New Years, lost meadow has given me a great place to learn how to jump. It’s incredibly well built
The wife and I truly enjoy your videos very very much! We love love love that you edit the majority of profanity out of your riding videos. Thank you for entertaining us and keeping your videos PG rated. The way you edit your videos makes them so so entertaining and enjoyable. 😁
Gorgeous Reeb!

I hit it with my Revel ranger this Xmas… it absolutely rips on these tails.
@@adubmatters3584 I can imagine
I run a 5010 and it’s a ripper. Would be perfect down there!
Dude your buddy is a super rider !!! Loved watching his steeze on everything !!! Great video and thank you
I just started both mountain biking and watching your channel, and it is so crazy seeing this video and realizing you are riding at the parks I am learning at!
FL has some really great spots. Santos in Ocala & Graham Swamp in Flagler are fantastic.
thanks for sharing, I started riding 30 years ago in Tally. Love adding cool places to ride for the next time I head down south.
Those trails look like a blast! Thanks for sharing.
Yesss Nate!! Love the Previa, they’re getting harder and harder to spot
I live in flat-as-hell southern Georgia, this is the reason I bought an e-bike, the only way to keep any sort of fun speed to get an assist.
Those are my local trails also! They trail crew has been putting in so much work, they are doing an amazing job! That ride into and out of balm Boyette is no joke🤣 kills me every time
I live nearby both spots you went to. Just got my first full suspension and started riding. Can't wait to make it out there. Thanks Alex.
this video brings me back to watching you and Seth rip these trails years ago ☺️
I can here the “Live free “ in your voice when your ripp’n bruh. Totally enjoy the content, job well done Sampler!
Man those are some pretty sweet places to ride! Guess i'm going to put Florida on my winter riding destinations now!! Awesome video!
Great video, thanks for putting it together! I would love to see Boyette get a little more credit than just Ridgeline. It can be ridden as a 15mi Blue/Black loop with more great trails and big jump opportunities.
Just rode this week. Great stuff even for us intermediate riders!
That's dope! Never thought you can have fun on a mountain bike without mountains but they did a good job cutting in that trail and working with what they got! 💪💪💪
It's pretty awesome when bike parks continue to progress. Some will just let trails stagnate and deteriorate. Great job on the trails.
Looks like Nate has truly master pumping for speed.
Always cool to see you here! Being from around Tampa I get to ride Alafia a couple times a week and you’re right, it’s become a true theme park for riding!!
Hi you got me in to mountain biking I went on my first trail and had a ball but also a little crash thank for getting me in to mountain biking
I absolutely love love love Alafia. One of my fav trail systems anywhere. Trails are sooooooo good and it’s like mtbing in Jurassic park. Lol.
Since you recorded this video we have changed and done more work so much more stoke now
So cool to see your Perspective of these trails. We just spent a week of our X-mas vaca there!
Really enjoying your stuff these days Alex! Keep up the great work! Holla from Pisgah.🤘
I was down there in December when the cold snap came through, totally shut down my chance to ride both of these sick trails..
It wasn't the buzzards...
"IT WAS MEEEEEE!" 😂😂😂
Oh my balls!....classic! And yeah, those feral hogs love to truffle at most of the mtb parks in the area and chew up the trails. 🐗
Love it!
So awesome to see this video drop while I'm down here to rip!
Duuuude, idk if you’ve checked it out yet but Lost Meadow was revamped this past holiday and it is buttery smooth, like a paid bike park jump line. You have to see it if you haven’t already
i live in NJ and I ride all year long, don't need to go to FL in the winter to ride. Only when It's too packed with snow is when I can't ride.
Boyette and Alafia were my absolute favorite when living in Tampa… makes me want to move back😅
ALWAYS enjoy your vids, Alex...
That looks like TONS of fun
1:47 That 'no riding while wet' sign is something I have only ever seen at dirt jump spots. Never even thought that would be a thing lol. If that was a thing up in BC we'd almost never get to ride
We build on pretty sandy soils down here. Riding wet tears out the clay we have to haul in - guess it is kind of similar groomed jumplines
We were at Alafia around Christmas, my first time there. The trails were so much fun!!
Reminds me of OG seth!
Man I wish the trail systems up here in Pensacola would take some plays from the Alafya and Santos trail systems. Muskogee MTB trails are about as close as we can get to good trails up here... They honestly probably need better funding though. Thanks for the content Alex! LFRHGS!
you should come back to atlanta! sope creek, blankets creek and big creek have had tons of work done to them recently and they are riding amazing?
Wow that looks so good!
what it lacks in vert it makes up in sick lines and character. This will give me an excuse to visit my relatives condo in Florida :P
Alex: "I wish I was more fit." Also Alex: "We have to pedal 4 miles?!"
"Yeah I remember this,... I don't really remember this" - Sampler
Amazing so far
I thought I was the only MTB guy with a white Toyota Previa van lol. Love the video to bad we missed each other on the trails.
Bro i missed the videos i am building my bike and it snowed so watching your video wile truing my wheels is nice.
looks rally funny....ride on😎
BB was one of my favorites.
I recognized so many of the trails!
Lol, I just rode there today, Alifia.
Highly recommend checking out the hulk trail in Myrtle beach SC if your ever in the area. Very similar riding
Awesome cool epik trail 🤘🤘🤘
Hometrails alaways hit different
Great ride man. Ain't been down there in forever. You should've hit up the Huracan while you were down here! It was CRAZY!!!
Hei, Alex!! 👋
Nice trails there, man! Love it!
A MTB biker from Romania 🇹🇩😊
Cheers🍻
Is this at Jurassic Park?! Great vid as always! I was half expecting a gator to be in the middle of the trail XD
You should hit Carter Rd while you are in town, those trails have also come a long way
Are you gonna be there next weekend too? Missed you by one weekend man, dang!
Maaaan we were up in BB last week. That inride is a bit long especially straight to RL but the riding is worth it. Ridgeline is a solid trail and Alafia is awesome also. Carter road makes up the trifecta in the area and is very good also.
We need a bike update
When people ask me how I ride mtb in Florida. This is the video I wills show from now on.
Did it in the 90s,, Raced Ocala , Brooksville, Markham! Oleta ! Etc..OH , and the Ever famous Loxahatchee " KMART trail?"
Oh ~! and Quiet waters was great. Currently Live in Longmont Co, where REEB / Oscar blues is Based. Now I am FAT....
Its a good one for sure. Can't wait to rip it next week.

I bought a house like 5 minutes away from these places. I go there 2-3x a week. Ironically I'm in Colorado now, snowboarding
You should definitely come ride some jarrods place in north ga
Legit trails lots of fun
Bro Nate is steezin 😂
Damn I want to go back to BB & Alafia.
Reeb bike and Dales Pale Ale shirt, are we sure you didn't end up in Lyons, CO haha. Did you at least get to ride Hall Ranch on your last CO trip?
If you liked that drop then you need to come try out bryce Park in Northern Virginia.
Trail called pickleback has a straight 90degree drop.
Great trails - are these the best in Florida?
I can't speak for him. But yes.
Alafia and boyette are amaizing. Try Loyce Harpe if you haven’t. It’s 20 mins from alafia and it’s amaizing
Damn... I wasn't far away from there in Sarasota over Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I wasn't really able to get away to ride.
I feel like every zombie movie starts out like that moment with the buzzards. Simple out of an ordinary event, people either ignore it or find it a little odd and funny. 5 years later, "We should have known..."
Wow that looks fun, my only question is are there any alligators?
Yes.
I live up here in Ma.! I’m moving to Florida in January. How far is this from Clearwater? Great video
You should do a video over your whole bike
mine did too. When were you here?
you should visit montana in the summer
"screw that bro" I agree, no way I'm riding up that 😂
You gotta hit markham park, and virginia key.
Hit up Santos if you’re still in town. Get that trifecta going. On a side note. If you’re still here I’ll quit my job right now just to ride with you for a day. Maybe 2 days? Haha, love ya buddy!

Where is Mr Tonka these days ? almost expected to see an appearance in a Florida Vid
Whenever I see all that water...I immediately wonder...how many gator are lurking in there...
Balm for sure
where is this trail located in FL?
Love your videos but what happend to the Comintary
Please do a graham swamp video before you leave Florida, I’ll be down the whole week after daytona Supercross if you wanna hit it with me
What day was this on?
love alafia!

Hey Alex majority of the upgrades at Alafia are created and maintained by e-bikers
Try Hanna Park in Jacksonville if you're in the area. Twisty, rooty, sand single track, super fun.
