Today's ride is brought to you by the letter C. Cliffs, Cacti, Challenges, Companionship, Cheering, Cameras, and a majorly stoked Completion! A brilliant show of your technical climbing skills. The scenery looked absolutely epic as well! Keep doing what you do 👍‼
Hope the finger is alright Alex. Once the weather breaks in the spring up in the northeast come on up this way, the family would love to ride with you. Keep having fun.
Watching you go from riding at the opening of chestnut mtn , being in horrible shape, to watching you climb crazy stuff in Sedona. You definably get into riding shape fast.
You seem hungry again and that rules. The drop with no tow in CO was crazy and pedaling these tough climbs and going back for seconds. Love it. We rode Hiline in Oct and no camera can to the climbs justice! 👏 👏 👏
Epic rides. It’s non stop rain up here in Vancouver Washington so seeing sunny weather and dry dirt is satisfying. Sorry about the finger! Hope it heals quick!
I've been wanting to do transcept for a couple of years but I love highline so much that when I climb up there I always do highline. You've convinced me to go try it next week!
I went to Sedona for the first time recently and it was absolutely beautiful. I also saw some deer early in the morning, hopefully I can go back and get some mountain bike riding in because this looks amazing.
I’m the opposite with small injuries. I prefer not knowing. I just assume I cracked a bone and take it easy until I don’t feel it anymore. I’m pretty sure I cracked something in my foot last summer. lol Maybe if it gets worse instead of better like usual I’d go get it checked out. Always seems to get better thankfully.
Hey dude.... Greetings from Scotland 🏴 again !!! What's the story with the finger?? Hope you had a great Christmas!!! And " Aw the best for the bells" 🤣 traditional Scottish pleasantrie to wish you a happy new yew when it comes.... feel free to use it on your next video !!
lots of challenging climbs on that one. Quite the feeling when you clean a teckie climb, only to see it just keeps going up :) By the way you fell you might have dislocated the tip of the finger. At least that would be better than a break.
You need some over night oxygen in that van get your healing up to 110%. If you do don't use the big bottles just get the small canister as I'm imagining there is quite a lot of flammables in there.
I am totally with you on people going off the trail. I live in phoenix, and all trails have signs telling people to stay on the trail.. and so many mountain bikers go several feet off the trail when you pass them, even though there's room to pass on the trail.. they need to learn about the the biology of desert soil and the damage they're doing.
That trail is meh.. a lot of work for little payoff. Definitely would like to try it backwards and work my way to highline for giggles. That drop in is way steeper in person for sure once you start the dh!
Can I ask a question to the community in here? Are you guys and gals in here ever too much in your head about damaging your beautiful and expensive bike, where you worry about the trail ahead of you? I bailed really bad this past summer because I thought I was going to scratch my bike that I panicked and fell like 9 feet. Didn’t scratch the bike (because it landed on me) but I know I could have done the feature if I wasn’t thinking about what I was riding… am I alone on this?
Yo Adam, I totally know this feeling and I talk about it with my friends all the time about how unhealthy of a mindset it is! Often times I get myself hurt because of this exact way of thinking when otherwise if I had just focused on the riding not only would I have been fine, but so would the bike! Moral of the story: the bike was made to be ridden hard, so don't worry so much a out it!
@@The_Sampler Easier said than done my dude! But absolutely. I’m definitely going to try not to worry so much anymore. Besides, the first scratch or chip is free, right? Then the rest is battle scars. Thanks for the reply dude. Wicked content. Keep it up and I hope your finger is ok soon!
I made a commitment to myself and the new uber expensive bike I purchased in 2021 well before I embarked on the first ride. That commitment was: This bike will DEFINITELY be beaten and abused and it's going to suffer many gouges and scratches sooner rather than later! The sooner you can come to terms with that, the better all the future rides will be. Yeah, a new scratcher-gouger in the frame will sting, but you have to quickly put it behind you, realize that more will be coming, and move on.
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'll see ya in 2023!!! -The Sampler Claus
Happy holidays 🎉
Merry Christmas Alex 🤟🔥
Merry Christmas and have a safe and fun New Year and many to follow...
Merry Christmas! Hope the finger feels better/isn’t broke.
Dude, is the finger broken?
Am I on a cactus???!!! Classic…. Happy new year bro!
The best view is the beautiful trail.

You forgot Cracked finger. Or Chipped…
So glad you reverted to your OG style of videos. These videos are fantastic!
Thats my dream ride. I love riding technical trails!

You have the skills that pay the bills, incredible skills
Great video, heal up that hand. Too funny you left in the " just the tip" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂💯👍
🤣

Thanks again for sharing your stoke….killer Christmas gift🤘
Happy holidays Alex. Speedy recovery on that finger.
I remember thinking that the cacti on transcept hadn’t seen very many riders 🤔 definitely an undulating trail 😅
Heal up that finger bro 🤘🏼
I may have broken my finger, but I still feel like I got off lucky by not landing on a cactus lol
I've been wanting to do transcept for a couple of years but I love highline so much that when I climb up there I always do highline. You've convinced me to go try it next week!
Sedona is definitely on the bucket list!
Happy Holidays 🎉 really enjoy your videos.⛄👍😎
Man I love Sedona! One of the only places I believe that watching a ton of climbing is ok.
The samplerclaus
Another sick ride!!
That’s it… adding this to the bucket list of trails 🤘
Loving the sunny rides. Just what I need to distract me from my extremely wet winter weather here in the PNW. 🤙
I went to Sedona for the first time recently and it was absolutely beautiful. I also saw some deer early in the morning, hopefully I can go back and get some mountain bike riding in because this looks amazing.
That should have been done in reverse. That said climbing is where the complete MTBer is formed. Great vid.
Thanks for calling out the off trail issues. Really hate seeing that stuff but it happens to often.

Love the first part. Crap I say when I'm riding :)
Beautiful trail! Great content.
8:14 that's how ya handle them cacti! 🤣👍
The way you went is how I've seen HTparty take that route(a few times).
so noice to see your this kind of climbing video. TBH, i'd rather see PoV of a technical climb than a gonzo descent. Thanks mucho amigo! ❤
lots of challenging climbs on that one. Quite the feeling when you clean a teckie climb, only to see it just keeps going up :) By the way you fell you might have dislocated the tip of the finger. At least that would be better than a break.
It is the best, when the Sampler goes west.
Super dramatic bro, enjoyed it
good thing there wasn't any cacti on your tumble. hoping the injury is just minor. happy holidays alex!
Awesome epik trail 🤘🤘🤘❤
I knew the trail looked familiar. Reminded me of Bottoms out in Sedona 😅
Sedona was the place that made me fall in love with mountain biking. Thanks for sharing & Merry Christmas brother!✌🏼🔥❤️
19:25 You're already living free, you always ride hard, and now the payoff!
I haven't been on Transcept. I was hoping to hit something different this year. That's a possibility.
"Just the tip". 🤣😂
I hope your finger gets better soon!

Sampler killin climbs. I can't ride Sedona on flats. I have to ride clipless. This old school mtb... slow tech.
Wooo
11:51 that bkxc throwback
I’ve ridden Transept twice and you rode it in the better direction!
Noted!!
Sedona chunk👊
Damn I wish I could be out biking, it's like -6 and wet as hell in the UK, sad
Nice man! I've always wanted to check out this trail. Is all the climbing worth it?
I am totally with you on people going off the trail. If you have a proframe what chin mount do you use
Sedona can bite you if you are tired. No shame in pushing it up the hill. Love we ride Chuckwagon and Mezcal.
I haven't ridden that one yet. You gotta be pretty tough if you rode that with a broken finger.
Hiline is way stepper decent with more exposure
Christmas stoke!
How can you tell the future!?
Would you try this on a yeti sb6c ?
Unique ride. Exposure, wacky pitches, unfriendly vegetation. Probably a snake or two hiding somewhere in there as well.
That trail is meh.. a lot of work for little payoff. Definitely would like to try it backwards and work my way to highline for giggles. That drop in is way steeper in person for sure once you start the dh!
Man I’d love to be there to b the PNW it’s just wet and sad
Man I hate chunk and tech. I will tune back in when you hit up some flow.
You got Slim Shady in your plans? 😊
Nice but come to my town ride my trials and no invite wth bro lol clean hiline like butter
My worst crashes are on uphill tech.
Who are you and what have you done with Alex I love climbs Invasion of the body snatches
Let em go wherever they want. You can't confine people to a specific set of trails. If you did there wouldn't even be new trails.
You still in Sedona I know some new shit to show you lmk

"Is my bike okay?" 😂 Normal, but less of a problem the less fancy your bike is.
Yo Adam, I totally know this feeling and I talk about it with my friends all the time about how unhealthy of a mindset it is! I'm an alloy boy because I put the bike down all the time.
