you said it. I rode my Stumpy for almost 6 years before buying my Niner three years ago. No plans on buying a new bike at all, just changing out components. As long as the frame is solid, why bother?
Ya. That’s kind of annoying about YTbers like Loam Ranger…every episode is a new bike or camera or kit…it’s unrealistic and just fanning the flames of consumerism.
I appreciate these videos of your adventures so much. 98% of my riding has been in the Northeast. Getting to see terrain that's so foreign-looking to my eyes is a treat. I need to get out there to ride some day. Good stuff Alex!
Your videos are the reason that I started riding and posting videos on RUclips again. I was impressed by the way you went along with your riding buddies, to not ride The White Line. Sometimes, we've just got to go with the flow. The rest of the trail looks amazing, it was good to see everyone enjoying themselves.
Man, I am so happy that you are back, doing well and making videos. And, this content is my favorite. You being you and riding your bike make the best videos. Keep riding my friend and I hope to share some trail with you some day.
Sedona is beautiful. And yes I think it's the vortexes that make the mileage different. Congrats on you guys, 17 miles is an ambitious ride, speshully with all that sessioning. Looking forward to your next. Thanks.
Stoked you are posting raw riding videos again on the reg. Been here since the beginning and this is my favorite stuff. So rad! Heading to Sedona in March. This is getting me pumped! Keep enjoying life my dude. 🤘
I like how you and your friends KNEW YOUR LIMITS when it came to whether or not you were gonna be riding the legendary WHITE LINE. It's not an EGO TRIP, and you have nothing to prove...it's all about having fun with your friends and making the most of it. This was one fun video to watch Alex. And the views were spectacular. Thank you for another great RUclips video.
Glad you have recovered and back riding. Great video and great riding by you and your friends. I hope one day to make it to Sedona. from south Georgia. No way would I try to ride the White Line. Pedal safe
Smashing those climbs...nice work! And yea, hard pass on the White Line. You said it, the fun/danger ratio is just way out of whack...no thanks. Great video, you were in Beast Mode!
Yeah...that was cool to watch, but at my age, i never expect my mountain biking to progress anywhere near that level. LOL! Enh=joyed seeing though! Thanks for sharing!
I really do respect that risk to fun ratio. I'm the same way riding for fun and not to compete. It just doesn't make sense to try something so far outside your comfort zone and risk so much.
Wish I could ride MTB more. Trail running in Sedona was the thing I could do, and it's great. Once you get half a mile from the trailheads, you can go hours without seeing more than a couple peope -- even during spring break.
First comment! I win, or something. I looooove Sedona, absolutely beautiful there. I'm glad you had a good time man. "I'm super casually freaking out." Awesome.
After 30+ years in AZ I've still never ridden a single Sedona trail... so in the event I find myself in the area it is highly doubtful I'll have the balls to go anywhere near it
I'm about due for a Sedona mtb trip. I live less than two hours away from there. We always have fun when we ride there. The hog trails are sick. Sedona miles are definitely harder than most other places. Gotta hit Hiline next time I'm up there.
Nah. If I’m doing exposure, it better be a blast of a trail like portal in Moab. The white line is just a dare trail without the payoff. But it’s cool people do it I suppose.
Chain issues are unacceptable given the trails you ride😉 I know you're not a dentist....are you...? But it might be time for a Yeti😉 SB140...Nate just did a build vid and I'm sure that whip would work for some Samplin' Lovin' the content 🤘🤘🤘 Shame on BOBO...lmao!!!!
I know the Delano peak uses 148 boost on the rear, is your chainline 55mm by chance? if it is, that may be why you're experiencing the chain drops and breakages? Maybe try going down to a 52mm chainline and see if that allows you to backpedal with less consequence in the lowest gear. I ran into that problem building my last bike. the previous year used a 52mm, but this years uses a 55mm, and so I went with the 55mm because like... if the manufacturer is going that way shouldn't I? And I was dropping chains backpedaling to dyno stuff in the lowest gear like it was going out of style. so I swapped by BB spacers to make it a 52mm chainline and I've been fine ever since! Maybe worth looking into?
Oh dude...I am so with you on this, haha. I'm into alot of risk, but it's calculated, especially when it comes to skiing, but this...no, no, no. My mountain biking is limited to "trail" riding
Dude... 2 things... 1. Chain lube. Use it, live it, love it. And your drivetrain will love you back. }B^) 2. Your laugh is INFECTIOUS. Probably makes your videos 60% better when you laugh a lot. Not kidding. It totally proves your stoke level.
I'm totally ok with your risk to fun ratio. I actually don't enjoy watching someone risk their . mobility or life to come up with content(although I've seen you do it😊). Great video.
@@The_Sampler ah bummer it's my first time being able to make it and was hoping to be able to meet some of my favorite riders. I totally get it though sometimes things just don't work out that way. Great video BTW and glad to see you posting more.
I like that you don’t have a new bike every year, makes me feel like your still in touch with reality of most mountain bikers.
you said it.
I'm glad you're back in action and having fun again after last year! Sedona is a cool place all around.
I appreciate these videos of your adventures so much. 98% of my riding has been in the Northeast. Getting to see terrain that's so foreign-looking to my eyes is a treat. I need to get out there to ride some day. Good stuff Alex!
Absolutely love these long videos. Keep them coming.

I have been a long time subscriber and I never get tired of your videos and thank you for the inspiration to get back on the bike
Really appreciate that Mike, thanks for watching!
I have been watching you now for a few years...always entertaining, Alex...
Great video! Lots of great riding!
Always motivated after watching these.
10:44 those brakes!!!! Another great video Alex.
Some of the techy climbs you slayed looked really tough - great job!
Great video dude!
Stoked you are posting raw riding videos again on the reg. Been here since the beginning and this is my favorite stuff. So rad! Heading to Sedona in March. This is getting me pumped! Keep enjoying life my dude. 🤘
Hell yea dude, thank you man!!
That was a excellent video really enjoyed that looked super cool
Sick trails and awesome riding Mr. Sampler.
Strong riding man! Sedona looks sick and it’s definitely on my bucket list rides.

Great stuff always enjoy your uploads …..keep them coming 👍🚵🏻
Man the footage doesn’t do Sedona justice. That place is so beautiful. Some of the best riding in the country too.
Great video and amazing climbs!!!
Man those trails gave me some serious desires to get out to Sedona! It just looks amazing!
Making those techie climbs is so rewarding. Awesome job.
The huck to flat at 2:52 is so fun to ride!
The trails you guys have over there look so sick, I need to get the US one day
I like the fact you don't give up at 22:00. All you needed was that one more try to clean that climb.
Awesome video , bro!!!!!! 😀👍👍👍🤟
Glad you have recovered and back riding. Great video and great riding by you and your friends. I hope one day to make it to Sedona. from south Georgia. No way would I try to ride the White Line. Pedal safe
Nicely done
You are killing it out west w 27.5 wheels. That is impressive. Out west I can only ride 29 on that chunk. Great riding.
Love the Hogs!
One of my favorite loops in Sed Az. Nice riding Alex, Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays my dude!
Man I need to get up there to Shred the Red! Great ride Alex🤘

I've never cleaned that climbing section on Little Horse...bravo!
Awesome video like always u were climbing like a beast😎🤙
Thanks! 😁 🤘

What a sweet lookin ride!

Nice riding!
I know it sounds silly, but my favorite bike trick is the manual. Therefore I like watching your videos because you tend to manual a lot.
Well done on that spot you didn’t make near the end! 🍻
Just watching this made me feel tired. What a trip!
way to go back and clean that climb up!
Nice work at 10:30. That's not easy!
New viewer here but And have binged all of your videos now. Thank you !
Welcome to the channel Stephen! Glad you are enjoying it my man, many more adventures on the way!
Love all those trails! Need to get back up there! What happened at the pizza shops? Famous Pizza & Beer is pretty yummy.
🤩🤘🔥
First comment! I win, or something. I looooove Sedona, absolutely beautiful there. I'm glad you had a good time man. "I'm super casually freaking out." Awesome.
In ride that trail last month…might have been there the same time!
This cold Sunday just got a whole lot better!
"I ride for fun" that's the best reason to ride.
Next time i’m in Sedona I’m gonna crank my hog for sure!
I just got bAck from Sedona a few weeks ago. So fun. So scary lol nice bro!
Let’s gooooo
You gotta do the white line but with clipless pedals, no flats!
Maybe Brian can tow you in 😜
15:37 that root is taking names. 😂 Not a chance I will ever ride the white line. Nope.
Alright, be honest... if you had the opportunity, are you going for it on the white line?
After 30+ years in AZ I've still never ridden a single Sedona trail... so in the event I find myself in the area it is highly doubtful I'll have the balls to go anywhere near it
Nope. I want to live!
Hell no lol
Nah , when the consequence of a feature is death I don’t do it.
I wonder if you would have done it if Seth was with you ?
I'm about due for a Sedona mtb trip. I live less than two hours away from there. We always have fun when we ride there. The hog trails are sick. Sedona miles are definitely harder than most other places. Gotta hit Hiline next time I'm up there.
You’re not wrong about that! Lol coming from Utah, Sedona kicked my booty. And Hiline was rad… and scary lol
That Slim Shady Pemberton loop is really fun too
Haha of course the Asheville folks have Green boats on their roof!
I snapped my dropper post cable in the same spot 2 weeks ago!
Bummed I did not run into ya on the trails while you were in Sedona.
I use to boat with Mac!
Roll Tie!
Super cool dude! i would love to see you in our italian trails 🥰
Omg me too man, me too
@@The_Sampler hit me up if you do this! would love to show you the italian beauty
Colorado is a warm 27 degrees today
Must find ground control!
Nice ride! I do have a random question, have you ever tried fat biking in snow? I don't think I've ever seen you do a winter activity :)
Nah. If I’m doing exposure, it better be a blast of a trail like portal in Moab. The white line is just a dare trail without the payoff. But it’s cool people do it I suppose.
Hogs are no joke. Have you done Hangover and is there a vid coming on it?
Hey Alex just curious, was wondering what you’re currently riding?

I have nightmares just thinking about the white line

Wow. One of your scariest videos.

Alex with the rizz
I’d take more risk if it was just me but I have kids that come first. I ride within a comfortable zone and move that bar up at a healthy rate.
29:42 I’m still watching.
It may be about a 3.5 hour drive but you should check out Hawes trail system if you are still in Arizona
You are the second person to mention this place; I need to check it out!
Hawes is definitely worth the trip while in AZ.
You must have borrowed some of Brian’s climbing mojo for this ride 😎
Right?!! I was feeling it 💪

Well, riding the Line is a line that I wouldnt cross as well. Just not fun enough for the danger.
We were just there a week or 2 ago. Looked at it… will probably never do it. Risk is not worth the reward.
Where are you overnighting? West of town?
west of town on the BLM or parked by my friends' airbnb
I have to choose between this and the world cup final-
I had to get this out so I could go watch lolol
28:29 Bobo is that you?
Yo Alex are you going to be back in March for the festival?
I don’t think so as of now but we’ll see!

Anyone who rides it is insane
Amazing video... But I can't help think that maybe the sampler has a secret Girlfriend? 😃 😏
My friends have tons of peeing pictures...
Sizz looks rough AF
Nah man
