Great video and great choice of car to start off with and very smart to start off with only cat N cars because it can get very expensive very quickly and my advice to you is try and reuse ♻️ as much parts as possible!! Keep the videos coming. New sub here 🎉🎉
Great 1st video, nice to see you both involved, rather than just one of you. Good idea to stick to cat N, you didn't mention it but maybe worth doing a 'CarFacts' or similar check before you buy, especially given you are just starting out. Looking forward to see how you go and wishing you good luck.
@@malcolmscott9566 Thanks mate, I doubt Megan will be as helpful now it's cold but we will see 😂 Great advice on the car check, I have been using totalcarcheck.co.uk, I'll mention it in the next video for other viewers! 👍🏽
Thanks John, yea I've had a lot of feedback about the music so I'll keep that in mind. Good eye, there's more to this car though, it's gonna be a love or hate one I think 😄
Great first video. Agree with the other comments and lose the music, spoils the video a bit. Also mask off any electrical connections in the engine bay before you wash it, it will save you hours of headaches later. Be good to a full breakdown on how much you bought the car for, how much total spend so far etc.. in repairs. Also do an introduction of yourself, as you are the face of the channel. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next video. 👍
This is something I’ve just started myself, I’m currently in the process of getting it back roadworthy, how did you find selling the Kia as a cat car was it hard work or pretty straight forward with plenty of interest?
Sounds interesting mate, will you be posting it on RUclips? Good question about the sale of the car, I'll be going into that in the next video which should be ready by the weekend 👍🏽
I've been trying to sell a 15 plate A5 for 3 months, just don't know how people get so offended by a car that's been repaired. Anyway just wanted to say it's really difficult to sell categorised cars.
@@damongrant5406Yea it's tough for sure, I'll go into my first experience selling this in the next video, you've got to be prepared to knock a large amount off the asking price because as you say people are scared of them, hopefully as more people on RUclips are doing this people will realise it's not as scary as they think. Good luck with the sale 👍🏽
Good first video, music has to go though haha, next time you get a broken headlight tab buy a kit ther only 20quid for a ceed, if you glue them on wrong you'll have a nightmare on mot lining the beam up.
Thank you, yea I'm working on the next video now and the music will be to a minimum 😂 yea I've seen those repair kits but totally forgot about them when I was repairing this, luckily the tabs broke off cleanly so it wasn't too much problem getting them back on exactly where they were. Car went through MOT with no issues 👍🏽
Good vidio that one looked nice and easy but after watching other vidios on here fixing crash damaged cars up can bite you in the arse if your not careful, you have got to know your stuff. And another idea what did you pay for the car, and the cost of parts and tell us milage and a bit about the engine etc.... Good vlog look forward to the next one..... Cheers
Thanks John, yea I'm hoping I've learned enough from watching other RUclipsrs do it for years to not be burnt too badly but it's inevitable at some point I guess! Price breakdown etc will be in the next video which is out this weekend so make sure you're subscribed mate! 👍🏽
It is a good video. My ONLY criticism is that there is room for improvement in the audio. It would be great if you'd invest in a wireless mic or something. However, the voiceovers helped.
@@RedRebsThe point of taping the rear plate up I presume is so it doesn't trigger any Ulez / Lez or any of the other myriad of cameras around to fleece people nowadays. If you've bought the car you'd have the headache of the fine.
Any cars I get with no history I track down the garage and then ask them to email over copies of the invoices wit the owners details blanked out.......job done
