I loved the way the rub n buff looked until i washed my wine glass and it came right off🙁
I used cold water and didnt “scrub”
Just very lightly passed the sponge over it and it went right along with it🙁
Definitely will be returning the other color as it does not seem safe to use on food-ware
Oh no! The rub n buff came off on the etched glass? That didn't happen on mine.
Thank you!! Someone mentioned rub and buff and I came over to RUclips and found your video 1st!! My etching is about to go to a new level!!! Thanks so much!!
Glad I could help!

I have to say I love that stuff. And you are so right that a little bit goes a long way. I use those triangle make-up applicators work well also. Then you for another tutorial!
Awe, you're welcome 😊
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much ❤️
What is etching cream and do i need to use it before applying rub n buff?
You do a superb job on this video!! I just found you and have subscribed. Thank you for taking your time to educate us crafters.
You just made my day!! Welcome aboard 💙
This was very informative. Thank you.
You're welcome 😊
Good live thanks looks good ❤
Can you use this on large areas? Will it leave streaks or circle marks? I did etchings on a 1gallon wine jug and it came out blotchy, I wonder if this will cover up the blotchiness! Thank you
Curious if we can etch and buff on mirror?
Oooh I like it 👍🏻 that looks so nice!
I love it too! Thanks 💙
Hello, Delonda! How are you? I watched your tutorial several times and enjoyed it immensely, so very informative! Thank you. I tried using the Rub N Buff Gold on a vase I engraved using the Trotec Laser Engraver at the public library. The design for the vase was a thinner font and design that your lovely plate. Anyway, the Rub N Buff seemed to instantly dry (perhaps it was old?) and did not buff well. I had trouble wiping away the excess. The results were different than anticipated, much less pop. Your thoughts? Thank you, Delonda.
Thank you so much.
I have only tried the Rub n Buff on glass. You might need a stronger cloth to remove the excess from the vase. Or perhaps you could try a lighter color of rub n buff, depending on the color of the vase.
@@CraftingwithDelonda , thank you. I neglected to mention it was a glass vase.
Very nice!! Thank you💜
You’re welcome! You know that was made just for you ❤️
Good thing I have a Micheals reward that I need to use..🤣🤣.. Dollar tree will see me when I get off.. and I like the gold heart
Thank you 😊! Oooooh, I wish I had a Michael's reward 🤣😂🤣😂
@@CraftingwithDelonda I’m surprised you don’t have a ton of Michaels rewards! 😂😂😂💕💕💕

I was looking for white rubn buff ..can you tell me where i can find it ? Ive looked all iver lol
The closest thing I could find is silver: amzn.to/3XkqQFi
@@CraftingwithDelondais rubn buff permenate ? Ive used it and it washed off with hot water and soap ..and i doing something wrong
Hi! I was wondering how long you let the rub n buff sit before you buff it off?
Hi there, I start to remove it as soon as I finish applying it.
Does the rubnbuff wash off when the plate is washed? How do you make the finish permanent?
Hi, it didn't wash off when I cleaned the plate. I used Dawn dish soap and warm water and the design is still there.
I tried doing this an the excess didn’t come off
Really 😳😳😳
@@CraftingwithDelonda same here. I was so disappointed when the excess would not rub/buff off. Thankfully I did it on the cheapest part of the gift I'm making. A bit hesitant to try again now 😢
Have you ever had any similar experience of the excess not coming off?
Thank you for your tutorial. Helpful video just sad about my results lol
I haven’t had that happen.
Is it dishwasher safe after adding the color ?
I would suggest handwashing. I washed it after the tutorial with regular dish soap and the color stayed on. I'm not sure how well it would hold up in the dishwasher.
Ok thank you ❤
Thank you!
You're welcome 😊
how long to let it sit before using it and hand washing
This video is about 2 years old. You can refer to the time I mentioned to see if it worked.
Have you ever tried the Ebony rub n buff on etched glass.
I tried and it just wipes clean back off again, would be interesting to know if its happened to anyone else.
I haven't heard of Ebony Rub n Buff.
After you wipe the rub and buff off can you wash the plate and ?
Yes! I did with Dawn dish soap.
@@CraftingwithDelonda thank you
Is this water proof? Or just apply for a pop to make etching more visible?
It's waterproof on the etched areas.
@@CraftingwithDelonda is it dishwasher safe?
Can I wash it in the dishwasher after?
Hand wash
Thanks
No problem
So if I etched something months ago or even a year ago, could I still use this method on it?
I would say give it a try. I think it should work on the etched areas.
@@CraftingwithDelonda thank you I will!!
@@brittanysmith9289 so, have you tried it on your older etching yet? If so- how did it go? I’ve never heard of R&B before this video…so I’m very keen to know if it works on older stuff!🤔😁
@@glorygloryholeallelujah I did try it and it did work on my older stuff
That is fantastic!!
is this washable without losing its color?
Yes!
Is this food safe? Does it wash off
I would say yes cause she put it on the back
Etching glass doesn't come off
I know the etching is permanent but does the rub and buff wash off?
@@tammymiller1197 my customers said it didn’t wash off back when I worked at Michaels. And it’s food safe because it’s on the back of the plate.
I actually washed the plate after the tutorial and it's still on there. The rub' n buff didn't come off. I don't know how long it lasts though.
Did you get the other bits off the dots
I hope so...I think so ❤
Does it wash off?
Not from the etched areas.
If you wash it a few times wont it come off
Nope
Grrr I just tried this twice on my etched wine glass and i could not wipe it off at all unless i used soap and water and then it took it all off, left nothing behind. I don't get it unless the tube I have is bad.
It should only work on the etched areas.
