I'm not interested until they make a version that wants you to open doors and then doesn't actually get out of the room.
It looks like an updated version of the furreal friends cat, that's probably what they meant by elderly people use their products
A nice solution for those who cannot have real pets. Good job, Hasbro.
Props to the Hassenfeld Brothers. (That is what Hasbro stands for, ICYAI).
Don’t know why but this brought a tear to my eye 😢
That doesn't mean it's not for kids, it means that it's not JUST for kids
THIS IS THE NEWS I WANT!!
on the box it says ages 5-105
My mum tried to feed hers with soup! It was given to her by her grand -daughter 'cos it creeped her out!!! 🐯
I swear a long time ago I remember my mom get me an animatronic cat so so similar to the ones in this video(it was white furred) but I'm pretty sure that it's not the same one. I appreciated it but I found it very creepy so I hid it somewhere in my room and didn't use it.
Instead of a litter box, it uses a "bit bucket."
would like to purchase but you do not post to Australia.
wow this is purrrr-fect
I've had White kitty packed away for many years. I found Kitty & She works, But Sadly it Meowed 1 time, Blinks Eyes, Turns Head & Purrs while Sleeping. Do they do more things, Walk, Sit & Stand?. To make it work I have to shake it or swat T it.
On the buying it says 5-105
I think Hasbro should make a dog version. :)
I don’t think a doll nor a robot can take the place of the real thing.
lots of people of all ages live where they're not allowed or its just plain impractical to keep live animal companions. there have been projects going on to create something like these for years now. i'd fanatacized myself on the idea of building a little four legged robot and building a plushie around it, but then the software to bring it to life would have either been beyond me, or all consuming of my life for months or even years. i would expect these things are still very limited, but they do have some interesting future possibilities. given a massive intelligence upgrade, or linked to an internet host, they could be tutors as well as 'companions'. of course they're not the same as people. they'll never be THAT annoying.
+haarp2012 Then don't fuckin' buy one. Pretty simple, huh?
+haarp2012 if it was never alive, how could it be dead? I know dementia is hard to grasp when one is flat out stupid....but, as the brain is damaged, they see things differently, they don't really understand that the 'companion' is not real. Many hallucinate, so this interactive companion does bring a lot of comfort. I'm sorry...I know I actually communicated with you like you might understand....so humor me, try.
Can kids play with JFaC Pets?
Such a cute kittycat. The reason I'd like to get one is because I have allergies against animals and I'm not healthy ennough to take care of a real pet; and I love cats very much. I wish I could get one of these joy for all tebbie cats for christmas. I'd like to know please if the cat has feeding functions too. Thanks in advance for your answer.
I am seriously considering the dog. It would seem kind of weird but it might keep me company.
A really great product...am trying to find one at a "reasonable" price...lady on T.V. today said that £100 would buy one, or £200 would get two, but I can't find them at these prices!
It's a great idea for ederly, some like baby dolls. Some would purr fur a cat.
Bosssanova40 Gonzalez nice pun at the end there. Lol 😏😂
It's so sad when elderly people who can no longer live unassisted are forced to give up their beloved pets. However, that's how I ended up with my cat.
I love it so much!!! I want it so bad but I already have a real cat.
please be glad that you can have a real cat. be glad not to be sick and allergic. infortunatly I have to many deseases and allergies to care for a pet. so thank god for your healthynes. So you don't need these animatronic cats. enjoy the time with your kittycat and send a prayer to god that you both will stay healthy. be blessed and have nice christmas celebration days.
Make one that doesn't seem interested in looking out the open window until you close the blinds, and doesn't have to use the litter box until 10 seconds after you've cleaned it.
Hasbro already did this in 2002 with their first Furreal cat. They couldn't sell them after the market died for Furreal cats in 2010 so now they're cashing in on it with old people.
I don’t think Barbie dolls were initially intended for little girls.
A toy for cat lovers, it's cute for the owner and the cat for cat people.
A alive cat toy for cat lovers.
Good luck
I like the robot cat. it so cute♥
More realistic robot pets are coming
well I'm getting one for my six year old. I love cats so much but none of us can handle being allergic. we play with the neighborhood cats outside lol. this toy looks so fun.
so how did it goes? we have the exact same situation and im thinking about buying one. And no there is no treatment for cat allergies.
Cute
$20 I'll get it
shared.
I want a cat but not allowed. 😦
I'm a kid and I'm alergic to cats and I'm going to get one cause that's my major wish!!👍🏻
Hopefully it has a better battery system than the Samsung Galaxy S7.
I want one cause i don't have a pet and i want one but there to much
MAKE IT CHEAPER
Not for kids, huh?
I had a cat just like this for HALF the price by furreal (same company?)
What's the difference?
This is the same Furreal cat that Hasbro made from 2002-2008, that was marketed to 8 to 12 year old girls. Hasbro just thinks people don't remember the products they made less than 15 years ago.
This is the same Furreal cat that Hasbro made from 2002-2008, that was marketed to 8 to 12 year old girls. They just improved on the plush fur material to make it appeal more to older people over the nylon synthetic.
Middy's Pets Correction: Seniors AND kids.
the furreal is lower quality thats the only diffrence
@Cyber Girl who cares
if it's not for anyone but seniors how come it's called joy for all?
i'd better pick a stray cat than pay for this robot. Real shit is better than fake
y
Really, folks, if there's an older person in your life who needs companionship, make a phone call or pay 'em a visit, for heaven's sake. If you think this product is a good idea, then ask yourself, would an animated, stuffed toy cure your loneliness?
+Holmes245 - undortunately, Holmes, Nature Junkie has no idea of the 24 hours in a day that is dementia and dementia caring.
That is a very judgemental statement to make. My husband and I visit his mother all the time but she cannot live with us as we are not equipped to take care of her and her medical needs. She very much misses having cats and talks about it every time we see her. We are looking into getting her something like this.
NatureJunkieHere What year are you living in? The 1940's?
My Mom has 2 of them. She can't take care of a real cat. This one she can hold, pet and snuggle when she goes to sleep. I see my Mom 1-2times a week and talk to her on the phone minimally 2x a day. She thinks these cats are so good because it's enough of a cat to make her feel better. She'd love a real cat but simply isn't able to take care of one. Both of these toys have name, ,she can take pleasure in grooming them. They're soft enough to hold when her pain kicks in. I think you should be more open minded and I do not mean to denigrate with that. I just think you aren't looking at the bigger picture.
That fake pet at 01:16 looks like a freak of nature... Like some type hybrid mutant monster creation...
100$$
THEY CARE........ SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO.
+Air Port -- no, if you've never cared for someone with dementia, you don't get to judge, further, each situation is different. Be a kind human being. I care for my father in our home...he has a cat that maybe has six months left, she has cancer. As my dad goes deeper down the rabbit hole of dementia, and as he has put so much into his cat companion, he will decline faster after she's gone. This will give him love and an outlet. So many uses for so many people who have cognitive diseases and can't care for a cat. Such comfort it provides.
So the meta cat is a rip-off of this?
$99 ! Too much for me!
kind of crazy ..considering how many real cats are sitting in animal shelters cages or are euthanized everyday while ppl buy fur real cat toys ...O:
Most people who buy the furreal cat ones is people that due to life circumstances like age , job schedule or cat allergies cannot have a real cat because all of the time and money consuming a real animal requires . In my case , i have a job in the morning and classes in the afternoon and also take care of clientes when they contact in the weekend time . Safe to say i barely have time for my friends let alone for a cat , even tho i always loved cats , and always wanted to have one . So instead of taking a real cat and mistreating it because of the lack of time i have for it , i would much rather have a robot cat . It is not about not wanting a real animal is about , not being able to have one . Have a nice day .
There's something seriously sick about this...
+Mark Renshaw - your inability to understand the need of people with dementia? Yup.
For $6000 one could get one that's a woman.
I have a real cat and a real dog. No robot will ever replace them. Even the 1998 Furby is better than this
Adopt adopt adopt. This is despicable trash
+jessica guttman just like you
jessica guttman - the only thing despicable here is your lack of comprehension. These companion pets are for those that cannot care for an actual pet, as much as I'm sure these people would like one. Useless twit..
+Lexington 1705 "Useless twit"? Why the hostility? I agree with Jessica Guttman. Companion animals are wonderful emotional support for anyone, but when they're not allowed, it's time for human beings to step up to the plate where elderly people are concerned. Otherwise, what's the message you send them? "Sorry, I don't have time for you. But here, fill the emotional void of your loneliness with this robot." Surely we can all do better.
+NatureJunkieHere Your point is well taken. but some people don't have anyone to step up to thr plate. What then? and anyone can see that these elderly folks cannot have or take care of a real pet. So, yes. Jessica Guttman misses the whole point here...useless twit indeed.
+Lexington 1705 I don't think Jessica is missing the point. Ask yourself, who is the
market this commercial is aimed at? The elderly who have outlived loved
ones--or who can't have pets? No, it's the RELATIVES of the elderly, the
very people who CAN step up to the plate. If someone has the time and
money to shop for this item, then they have the time to make a phone
call or the means to make a visit. And maybe visit with real live dogs or cats. Living things love. Merchandise does not.
