ngl this episode traumatized me as a kid... those 3 witches were nearly the scariest shit from my childhood, their faces are just so creepy. iconic ep though edit: 4 sisters! i'm such a fake fan smh
Stella's one liners this episode where ICONIC: "Sweetie put on your sun glasses" "Just look at the way she carries herself....it's a joke" "I see she does have a maggot face" "Sweetie she's right behind you"
Never clickt so fast on a video before. When I saw this episode first when I was a kid it legit scared me but I still loved it. I was a sensitive soul who could not watch anything spooky. I live in Europe so the Halloween decorations aren't really there but everything to do with it scared me so this episode was kind of the only thing I could tolerate. Anyone else?
Dang I was legit TERRIFIED of the four sisters when I watched it back then as a kid. If I recall, the voice over in my native language was quite creepy too Totally relate to being unable to handle anything spooky, when I was a child at least (now I do love me some horror)
Yes, I remeber it was a mistake to go out to play at dark after this. First it was fun playing and then suddenly my mind wanted to tease me and brought up the ”Worms crawling on her face….” with the actors voice! 😅
Oh my gosh, same! Never watched a lotta winx as a kid, but this one resonated, man. Something about the way the sisters glided inanimately across the floor… (shudder)
I remember having a nightmare years after i watched it about one of the "ghost sisters" and it was terrifying because my brain transformed them from 2D to a more live-action/real type.
@Flyboy1953 Yeah, but I wish Rainbow made a Halloween special featuring the designs cause they were so goooddd. ESPECIALLY in the vampire episode of Season 6 like wtf it was literally the perfect moment to feature them😭
I remember Hallowinx scaring the shit out of me as a child. Idky but I’d also still watch the episode even though it scared me. Now Hallowinx is actually one of, or maybe even, my all time favorite episode of Winx.
The four witch story and fortunetelling also forshadows Bloom being the fourth witch towards Darkar. Counting The Trix as three (Icy, Darcy & Stormy). While, Dark Bloom is the fourth one!
That episode was amazing xD it was also genius that they could use their fairy forms as costumes! Though nowadays with how big their wings are, they couldn’t exactly get away with that again xD
I remember when season 4 came out in Spain a friend and I were so excited thinking the 4 sisters could be a plot point of witches losing their power as the same time the faires were captured, (one of my first ever fan theory) and we got so pissed off when we realised they weren't even canon any more.
This episode has SO many one liners and is so quotable that’s how you know it was iconic. Season 2 is the first season i watched and has my heart forever 10:15 i thought it was part of every dub-
My first exposure to this episode, as a kid, was actually through a cd. I have to tell you, this is actually way scarier without the visuals, in my experience at least.😅 As a child, I couldn’t sleep after hearing this episode lol. It was actually traumatising while also being so addictive😂 Also I’m from germany so I actually got to enjoy a sort of mix from the 4Kids and Cinalume versions, in terms of story elements. They actually picked the best parts of both dubs!
Hallowinx is one of my favorite episodes and definitely the one I rewatch the most. My favorite moment is simply that they just went there in their fairy formxD Like, your childhood bully has nothing on you, when you are stealing the show as a fairyxD
This one was soo good, it doesn't even feel like a filler. The story was good, there were fun parts, it was a good special (shame on season 5's ""Christmas special"") and didn't felt like forced or out of place in the season. Plus, all the references to other movies and tv shows is amazing, truly remarkable And let's not forget Stella and her: Oh, is just a pumpkin. You can turn it on and off, and on and off... It gets me everytime 😂
Tbh they scared me allot more in the rai english dub , mainly because the voice acting was quite awkward at times which actually added to the 4 sisters presences. The way they calmly repeated "her face is crawling with maggots , whoever is touched shall also perish. She wears a bone white mask" chilled me to the bone and would probably scare me irl allot more than someone screaming "WHERE'S OUR SISTERRRR" Its mainly because subtle things are allot scarier. That's why people are still afraid of Samara it's because she's close enough to human but she's not quite there. Sharp teeth are allot less scary than perfectly straight and bleach white teeth. A rugged, calm, and tired whisper in silence is allot scarier than a horrific scream at out of nowhere
Absolutely agree, I was terrified when I first watched the episode in what I'm assuming was a translation of either the rai english or the original Italian dub. The line delivery was the same as in rai english and it made everything so creepy! Now seeing the 4kids dub I think they watered down the scary factor a lot just by changing the sisters' lines.
@victoriab7148 ngl , if I were in that situation [the 4kids dub] ide pull up James Charles's pic and scream back : HERE SHE IS , TAKE HER PLEASE SHE’S ALL YOURS 🤣. Listen, I'll be doing everyone a great favor, lmao
This episode used to be so scary for me when i was a child and i finally realize how iconic this ep truly was (also a little recommendation for a future vid :can u talk and share your opinions about World of Winx) Luv ur chanel and this video 🤍
Finally! Thank you for covering this episode! I love both the Cinelume and the 4Kids dubbed versions. While the Shimmer in the Shadows episode was pretty good, it pales in comparison to Hallowinx. You can definitely feel the spooky atmosphere of Halloween in this episode, and the designs of the 4 sisters were amazingly creepy! I love watching this episode every year, along with "W is for WITCH" from season 2 of W.I.T.C.H. (Please review W.I.T.C.H. episodes someday. It needs more love.)
I remember as a child I was the most scared of the scarecrow at the end, and I mean genuinely horrified. Because in the German Version the laugh is alot more feminine and for some reason as a child my brain concluded that this IS the real 4th sister, it's just that the myth around her - or all the sisters, my brain didn't got that far - didn't actually reflect "reality" as most myths do. And that terrified me as a child. That the very last moment of the episode "dropped the truth" that the myth is actually TRUE and the 4th sister IS out there *and currently nearby* , but the story being told about her tells it all wrong so no one will have ANY heads up IF she should choose to attack. Not even the VIEWER knows what she's truly about and what her true story is. The myth tells misinformations. Gosh, that still creeps me out just writing it down. My child-brain really went with the most horrifying way to wrap this episode up, huh? No wonder I always had to already switch channels for the last view seconds to not having to see the scarecrow. I didn't even put together that it IS a scarecrow, I was this scared of it! Edit: and yes, I DID had a little heart attack when the scarecrow was literally the first thing you focused on of the episode in this video lol It really helped that the english laugh coming with it gaves me completely different vibes, but I swear to God, you didn't HAD to play the clip twice! xD
I don’t know why Aisha says that in The english dub cause in The italian dub she says witches uses too magic to do good but with more destructive methods
This is too perfect. I just started a rewatch of the show and I watched Hollowinx LAST NIGHT! I really like the part where Mitzi spills the drink on Bloom and she just uses magic to pretend like nothing ever happened. My favorite thing about the episode is that in both the 4Kids and Cinelume dubs one of Mitzi's friends is by the actress who plays Faragonda. If you don't know who I'm talking about that's OK ,none of the clips in the video actually showed her and I don't even know what's she 's supposed to be , but she makes several appearances throughout the episode and she wears a really flowy blue mask like the kind you might see at a masquerade ball. ( I should also mention that i didn't actually verify this with credits but I'm 95% sure I'm right). It's probably just a coincidence, but I'd like to think it's intentional. Sadly, the Nick version of the episode is unavailable so I can't check to see if it kept the trend going. with all the said I have everyone has a great day and a happy Halloween!!!😃🎃
I don't think Nick had a version of Hallowinx because they condense plots and clips from both seasons 1 and 2. In 2's case only got one special to explain the story so it got nixed. Sadly. I found this episode via a dvd.
@@shanepeed8125 you're welcome. Because nick was how I got introduced to Winx I would get confused when I found the season 1 and 2 episodes online when I finally had access to internet as a kid.
This was a spooky fun episode, low stakes but just enough suspense and sorrow to keep you invested. The story of the youngest sister always made me sad. It also made me wonder how three sisters and a team of construction workers couldn't drag out and restrain one very young, probably small woman from a house🤨
I remember being fucking terrified by this episode as a child. I found it on RUclips and could NOT finish it. Now that I've grown, it's one of my favorite episodes.

Now that i watch it's really not that scary, but as a child...The whole story in the silent villa didn't scare me as much but THAT PUMPKIN GUY AT THE END! I was so scared that when i was climbing down the stairs at my house i checked behind me every 3 seconds, cuz i thought he was behind me. And that continued for WEEKS! 😂😂😂
I love the 4 kids version of the Halloween episode it's so awesome. Also I haven't watched your podcast because I didn't know you had one. I'll watch it sometime.

Ah, yes...the episode that caused me such trauma I couldn't finish it and my younger sister had to assure me that the sisters were not real. I was about 11, she was 7. I still feel kinda embarrassed...so it's only natural I will watch this video to make myself feel even more stupid for being so scared as a kid 😅
I hate this episode but only because when I watched it for the first time I was like 6 and it scared the hell out of me, to the point that even now, in my early 20’s, while hearing lines from that episode or seeing certain scenes I feel instant discomfort and cold all over my body 🙈
In the dub of my country they used a combination of the 4kids dub and origenal dub as they both uses the house start to fall apart line from Tecna and the whole maggots and the whole youngest got murdered thing all together.
Djdjjdjf god I remember being absolutely terrified of this episode as a kid. (Tbh i think I was kind of terrified by season 2 as a whole I did Not like Darkar 😂) Funnily enough I barely remember the context of the episode outside of Halloween party and scary ladies
What i find hilarious about this episode, is despite all the scary shiz they've faced, this haunted house scares them. 🤣🤣🤣 Like even factoring in they know there is no magic on earth yet they almost fell for allot of what that basic Witch Mitzy was pulling. (This isn't a knock against the girls i really do love this episode, and i just found it funny they almost fell for it after everything they've seen and done. 😂😂😂 )
I am still puzzled by the creepy Scarecrow at the end of the episode. It definitely was a very sinister figure! 😰 PS This is one of the best episodes of the whole series! 😍 Not that cheep redo in the Sixth Season with Bloom and the Children of the Night… 😭
It took me YEARS to get over those tissue white witches (*itches, if you ask me) Mitzi and her friends dressed up as, I'm NOT going to let them scare me anymore!!! Time for my own tricks😈🖤
LOLA AND I'S HALLOWINX DEEP DIVE IS OUT! Enjoy it in two parts because we are UNHINGED!!! ruclips.net/video/FR-Q5eWwbio/видео.html

For me the best part is this episode is the fact that Tecna canonically plays Resident Evil. As if I needed more reasons to love her
The fact the resident evil video games franchise is canon in one of the winx club dubs is just amazing

Right!? It was a nice change and cheer!! 😊 I love the second season
Also Tecna getting excited is literally funny
techna going "yippee" omfg that caught me so off guard
Not “ electric booty kick ⚡️ “ 😂😂😂😂
I always liked that it was Stella who found out it was a joke instead of Bloom! I dunno, it's just nice, and quite in chara for her.
I completely forgot about the "resident evildoom 2" line. Omg that made me laugh so hard
I like Hallowinx for the plot but I also like the Shimmer In the Shadows episode for the outfits.
I remember having a nightmare years after i watched it about one of the "ghost sisters" and it was terrifying because my brain transformed them from 2D to a more live-action/real type.

Now I want to see the Winx tackle various horror monsters from modern media, like Samara, the Xenomorphs and the signals from Oxenfree.
The lady with the eyepatch might be a reference to Kill Bill.
This was amazing.

In the dub of my country they used a combination of the 4kids dub and origenal dub as they both uses the house start to fall apart line from Tecna and the whole maggots and the whole youngest got murdered thing all together.
Happy hallowinx🎉
Musa is the best
Still hope Thomas is gonna talk about fate s2
5:07 hello
Djdjjdjf god I remember being absolutely terrified of this episode as a kid. (Tbh i think I was kind of terrified by season 2 as a whole I did Not like Darkar 😂)
Funnily enough I barely remember the context of the episode outside of Halloween party and scary ladies
I litterally just watched this xp
What i find hilarious about this episode, is despite all the scary shiz they've faced, this haunted house scares them. 🤣🤣🤣
Like even factoring in they know there is no magic on earth yet they almost fell for allot of what that basic Witch Mitzy was pulling. (This isn't a knock against the girls i really do love this episode, and i just found it funny they almost fell for it after everything they've seen and done. 😂😂😂 )
Todays my birthday
I am still puzzled by the creepy Scarecrow at the end of the episode. It definitely was a very sinister figure! 😰
PS This is one of the best episodes of the whole series! 😍 Not that cheep redo in the Sixth Season with Bloom and the Children of the Night… 😭
its funny how diffrent the translation was in german hahaha
I swear Aisha/Layla wasn't part of that episode originally. It used to be a season 1 episode. Or am I tripping?
👍

6:42 can someone explain this to me😂😂😂
I used to refuse to watch this episode cos I got scared of it.
It took me YEARS to get over those tissue white witches (*itches, if you ask me) Mitzi and her friends dressed up as, I'm NOT going to let them scare me anymore!!! Time for my own tricks😈🖤
Taylor Swift was an animated show since the beginning *ta ta ta TA*
