One of the best things about Ronnie’s writing is that it is so personal. The honesty and the emotion that comes from that connection gives his music an edge over so many other bands and artists. He has said that you don’t write songs about being happy. He had a dream in real life that he was going to die in 2033. That’s where that came from. I can’t wait for you guys to do the final one 🖤

His "reflection" then comes back to life, mirroring the cycle of his past always trying to catch up or overshadow him.
His progression from where he was as an artist 10-12 years ago to today is extremely impressive. He is very intelligent and talented. In my opinion, he will go down as one of the most talented artists ever, a modern day david bowie, freddy mercury, or michael jackson.
Lots of pain, yes lots of pain... but pain is inevitably a part of life.. and "the only way out is through", as the saying goes... and one thing I've always loved about rock and metal artists is that they're not afraid to consciously face the pain and go THROUGH it... they channel the pain through their music and belt it out there, unfiltered and in your face. Which is one thing that a lot of rock and rap songs have in common... makes sense that those 2 music styles eventually merged... it was inevitable.
Yeah we all go through an internal battle with ourselves.. until we don't anymore. But most if not all of us go through it at some point. I've definitely been there. For longer than I want to admit. You have the obvious disparity between this perfect pink little girls room with this rough, tattooed, black outfit, muscled rock star, but if you look, she's wearing a black shirt (the thing closest to her heart) and even though her jacket is pink, it's a rock jacket. He knows no matter how much he surrounds his daughter with good, his past is part of her, closer to her than he probably wishes it was...
The 2033 on the headstone is the year he was suppose to get out of jail.... so talking about his little girl growing up no the time lapse, is because when he went to jail she was little and then when he wakes up and she is grown, she says it’s year 2033 because that’s when he was suppose to get out.
When he asked his daughter what year it was, and she said, 2034....that was when he was actually supposed to get out of prison, but obviously, he got out earlier.
