"Crotch kickers" is hilarious!!! 😂😂 Pretty sure you mean Clutch kickers.
Crotch kickers has a nice ring to it! That's what I'm gonna call it from now on 😂
That’s just the pain he felt as he watched the cars tear up the grass.
But I mean it is a racetrack and that’s ultimately what it’s for, plus I’d just feel a fat wallet coming
Absolutely died laughing when he said that!! Definitely how he feels seeing all the destruction. lol
I believe they’re going to use Astroturf!!!
11:11 "crotch kickers" 😄😄😄
Like others said it’s been painful to watch the grass being destroyed. It was so beautiful in the beginning. So glad you’re back and on top of it!
Thanks for what you are committing to do. I believe I am safe From say motorsports enthusiasts appreciate your effort to bring the ascetic to the track. It means a lot for the outward appearance of motorsports to the world
im a long time fan of Ol Giraffe Man, Garrett has worked so hard on this and i love how this project also makes it on other peoples channels
I’ve made the 2400 mile round-trip to the Freedom Factory several times now and I do say that I still appreciate the work you initially did installing that Beautiful St. Augustine grass!
I love how it sounds like a war front update when he's talking about his grass. 🤣 It really is a constant battle here in FL though.
Let's goo can't wait to see this transformation again. It was sooo beautiful
It's been painful to watch so many different vehicles completely destroy that beautiful grass. It was literally perfect before, but unfortunately this is part of the game. So, a better recovery plan after damage occurs will be beneficial as you mentioned. Can't wait to see the upgrade! 🙌
Lol! That track’s landscape has always had a ton of issues. It’s never been even close to perfect.
Love a guy who is really into his gig. Doesn't matter what it is: dentistry, race car driver, landscaper, etc...caring about your craft is friggin awesome.
Really glad to see Garrett brought you back. Glad he's always stuck to the roots and the people he used in the beginning.
thank you! I'm happy to be back!
It’s sad to see that beautiful Pro-Vista destroyed at the Freedom Factory. Hope you’re well.
Thanks for cleaning off the trailer. Now I can steal the equipment from the office easier.
funny thing I've been subed to both channels for years you helped me with my grass big time ........... thanks👍
I would definitely be on board for a Crotch Kicker s event.
The next evolution to those slap competitions
It is in your heart. You made it beautiful and it got trashed... Thats your Art and bringing it back will be a great relief.
This is gonna be a great project. I can't wait to watch the progress!
Love the update. Can’t wait to see how it turns out
My favorite thing about this regrade project has been watching Cleetus get so defeated over the Freedom Factory grass, and his own hints to this project this last month or so. My own lawn has been similar, where lifes gotten in the way of what I wanted my lawn to be after I had "made it perfect"
Great job explaining the Freedom Factory!!
Alan, thanks for taking care of our favorite race track!
Great weed ID at the beginning, please do this more!
HELL YEAH BROTHER
Thanks for doing the Freedom Factory I'm so glad you're back I remember when you first put in the first batch 👍🇺🇸
I can't wait for this project.
Excited to see a classic LCN video!
I'm glad you're doing this with cleeter. I found this very interesting channel. Thanks bro
Thanks Robert!
great video. love what there doing there and glad someone like you is helping them out with the lawn
They’re doing some awesome things at the Freedom Factory.
Wow it looked great in those photos. Hope it ends up back to that standard.
Thx for making the Freedom Factory even better! Looks like a never ending customer
Job security.
Thank you for doing this! The grass and the overall look of the FF has been looking sad because the grass is bad!
Looking forward to this! Super cool
Hell yeah brother!!! This gonna be awesome
We get the same weeds here in Australia. Oxalis and Hairy Bittercress. We do call it Flick Weed here though. Nice work under challenging conditions
The grass looked alot better after you finished!! I agree that it needs to be ripped out, and do it right!! Cannot wait!!!
Alan bless your heart...cleet and them damn crotch kickers
I like clutchkickers! But they were really hard on the lawn. The Monster Trucks probably did the most random damage. But I look forward to seeing that place all shiny and new again.
Thanks for keeping it real
There is tons of work going on at the FF... All those red flags on the track are areas that need to be fixed. Cleetus is really optimistic to get everything done on time.
What cletus needs is racing curbs all round the track!!!
“Support lawn enforcement”. 😂
Love it.
Just ordered the soil test kit with your 'youtube' promo code. Can't beat that deal for $20 👍
thanks bro!
Cleet sent us you do great work 👍🏻 subscribed
@ 36 sec mark Ragweed or was it Dog Fennel ? Gallery 75df mixes wonderfully with your Prodiamine 65 WDG app. to control that and Chamber Bitter, Dandys plus a lot of other broadleaf weeds .. Kind of a 2 layered defense. Work smarter not harder right 🤨 Been a fan for years and you have taught me a lot. I also used your fert last year and loved the results.. finally an even consistent prill size no getting jammed or clogging at all .. Great Job .. will be buying again. Good luck with the Freedom Factory .. Take care !
Just ordered my $20 soil test can't beat that price!
Your'e a legend mate!
im dead "crotch kickers" LMFAO!!! LCN you are hilarious XD
Thanks for the update. Good to see even you struggle with weeds in the lawn.
Would be interested in what/when you will use weed treatment this time of year.
I use this: ruclips.net/video/wn5u_YmhCvg/видео.htmlsi=4DCeoACvDGpfsQTd
Can’t wait to see it
Awesome video.
I wish you were closer to plant city. I need some help on my lawn.
I know Cleatus was very proud of the lawn you did.
I'm sure you will have the FF looking great again! Question, any way to get rid of that Bermuda in the midwest? That stuff will take over anything, gardens, lawns, even grows up behind your siding.
I was the property guy for a company one of which was a summer camp with 48 acre of grass to keep up. It had ben contour cut with the same tracked mower for a couple decades and was all ruts. It took me five years of rolling, pattern cutting, and filling to get it to where they could have just about anybody cut it and not knock teeth loose. After I got it smooth we then added spring and fall care (budget was/is hard to come by) Over seeding, ferts, aerating, etc and a decade in it was a showpiece. I left during Covid and now I cringe at what it might be.
watched from Bryan,Tx
Man I can’t wait to get behind my TruCut 27 here in Georgia. Come on Mother Nature I’ve got an itch to scratch.
Where that new asphalt should go in one of the last clips you should dig into that to regrade it with like a rake and spread that on the grass add seed and water like crazy to glue in a heavy top layer so when it does rain it'll form an impenetrable layer and run off wherever you want it
Curious if you're going to overseed that bahia lawn as well. I'm getting ready to pre-germinate some existing bahia seed, and ordered some TiQuik to overseed my bahia lawn this upcoming week. Well done on the vid as usual.
I’m surprised the Leroy hasn’t picked up a steam roller. You could flatten those ruts out, the his crew could run over them after an event. I doest have to be a huge one and he could have fun putting a turbo on it.
The only way u can stop drifters from digging ruts in the dirt is to either not do drift events or just not have grass and dirt at all, when u move the drift line in they just move with extra space
Hey from Palm Harbor... well, we've got the same weed problems up here in Pinellas County. Thank God for the recent rains, because we only get reclaimed water on Saturdays in my area, Grrr. How are the plants on your pool patio doing?
Love the tundra!!❤
I am here for the freedom factory and what everelse I can learn.
Creeping day flower was my worst nightmare
The CROTCH KICKERS 😂, Bermuda is the alpha! Would look great at the FF!
I like what you said, they run a track, they aren’t landscapers. lol. Garrett yells at drivers all the time and even tells them in pre race meetings to stay off his grass.
You can tell he really appreciates your work too.
Btw, it’s clutch kickers not crotch kickers. 🤣🤣🤣
Hmm, looks like a job for electrified fencing, and guard towers-with lasers! :-) It does look like they could use a roller to touch up the inevitable ruts that'll happen on a regular basis. Also, a supercross or two might take advantage of the need to rebuild the lawn. That would be another popular event for the Freedom Factory.
Any cool southern ground cover plants you can use in those beds instead of lots of mulch?
Awesome!!👏🏻
Love your dry wit. Crotch kickers made me spit out my coffee. 😂 Are you putting in Bahia at the Freedom Factory?
stay tuned! It's nothing like anyone expects!
What else could it be for southern lawns? Artificial turf?
I'm seeing some Carolina Geranium here in Wimauma
Need to get a combo video with Pete from GCI Turf to come down and re grade the freedom factory!
I could only imagine over seed fertilize and ammend the soil I wouldn't say till it but with such huge ruts almost like industrial dethatch
I always thought you were the Alan guy that’s always helping Cleetus with the RC stuff.
Would some re-enforcement of the ground, particularly at the edge of the track be an option?
Some steel meshed wakway put in place, pinned down and welded together to support the weight of the vehicles and prevent rutts being dug?
(Thinking steel walkway or similar as it will provide some grip to the cars without being as easily damaged as the usual plastic stuff and once pinned and welded should never move)
looking forward to a FF restoration series
No one showed you the Monster truck video…thats probably good. Lmfao
What jack is that on your trailer? That’s slick!
Are they still producing the pro-vista? Website still says coming to the rest of the gulf coast “soon” and has been that way for years
I live in Clearwater, FL. I take really good care of my lawn. I have spots and weeds like you have. Honestly, I have never seen my lawn this bad. I started thinking that maybe someone threw something on my lawn. After this rain, I'll continue to treat my lawn. By April, everything should be well on the mend.
I’m in the same area. My lawn is looking like trash. Just threw down a bag of Flagship. I am looking forward to “enjoying the mow” real soon.
Same here
@AmericanConstellation @barrymoss7780 Guys i'm in pasco and my st aug is looking pretty good especially after these recent rains. I have a couple patches that have been pushing stolons over the winter OVER ROCK WALKWAYS (I want to cover up) several feet.
I've been focusing on adding organic matter to my extremely sandy soil. Mostly using earthgro 50%manure/50%compost from tractor supply (think this one might have a little weeds sometimes - but cannot tell has alot is germinating in my patchy yard)), mixed with jungle grown (big box brand) flower & vegetable soil mix (cheapest option i've found that does NOT contain weed seeds - contains alot of good stuff, something with kelp probably even better). Pasco doesn't seem to have a city compost system? I know pinellas does.
I did a soil test last year & found my soil was really deficient in N & K. Also deficient in a couple micros. I've been throwing down small amounts of those micros along with a basic sta-green (22-0-8 ish?) turf fertilizer every other month or so the last year. I'd see green-up for a few weeks & then the grass would go pale & look dried out. The ferts would push the bermuda+sedge I am fighting. Irrigation wouldn't even get me through the day in some areas (VERY crispy st. aug). The st. aug wasn't outcompeting things.
I noticed over winter the bermuda & weeds went dormant but I could keep my st aug. active with JUST enough irrigation. Doing this allow me to feed the st. aug over the winter while these strong weeds were dormant. I FED WITH COMPOST, NOT FERTS. I'm VERY impressed with how much of the previous bermuda area I had has been overtaken by st. aug ALREADY this year.
All of this is to say, my root issue seems to be a lack of ability for the soil to hold on to nutrients as long as I would find practical & satisfactory. So before anything else, I am working in compost, biochar, & peat moss in a mix that hopefully slowly raises the soils ability to hold on to water+nutrients so I can stop this once we get into the wet season (so I can fight fungus I get really easy). So far, I am getting my desired results. I am also doing prodiamine pre-emergent right now + earlier feb.
If your soil looks like straight-up sand in your eroded spots/when you dig, maybe this will help you too.
I know its a long write but I hope its helpful. My st aug has been creeping all winter over these weeds I have in areas where there was enough sun (not under my oak) & I irrigated when the st. aug looked like it was starting to go dormant.
If you want to know anything more on my process, or how I am making my own biochar almost free just ask (don't buy that doc-andersons shill fest lololol). I don't want to write another paragraph tho in this comment HAA
How do you avoid batch buildup when you always cutting high?
Paspalum notatum (Bahia grass) is classed as a weed here in Australia
it's mostly a roadside grass here too - only planted in home lawns that are near the coast with sugary sand soils
No Aug. No Bermuda. No Zosia.
Hmmm Bahiaaaaa Grass? 😂❤
The worst looking grass in Florida. Those ugly shoots.... Yuck.
Nice dude
crotch kickers lol that had me on the floor
SAFER BARRER around the light polls it would sure look a lot cleaner as a finished project, just a thought
That track is a blast, but I wouldn't want to keep up that infield.
I guess I wasted my time and product Friday. I applied liquid treatments here in Bartow Fl. Is any of what I applied going to soak in? Or was it just washed away. We didn’t get much rain Saturday till late.
Love the timelapse and tune @18:18
FF is going to repair the track surface also they said soon. I am glad the crotch kickers are gone though.
Crotch Kickers 😂 U must be putting down Juniper, stuff is Harty 😂
North of Florida, but still “south”, I’ve seen properties go to sandier top soil and all Bermuda because it’s really low maintenance and the “easiest to repair”. Is that an option at FF?
What are you putting in some nice Delta Blue Grass?
Talk about job security! Lol great job!
Im excited for the FF regrade!! I was so upset they let it go throughout last year. You definitely need to be more involved in the upkeep of it. You can’t just keep redoing everything after years of neglect. It’ll be an endless cycle. I love the FF and it deserves to look as good as you make it look all the time!
It’s a racetrack first and foremost.
@@nalley6815yeah but something about a nice racetrack just feels better during races instead of seeing tore up grass in the middle
@@bpl101 in a perfect world
@@nalley6815 nope in a normal world. Like the guy said in the video he has a contract to come after each event and fix the issues correctly
@@bpl101 then why even comment 😂
hell yeah brother
11:10 Crotch Kickers 😂😂😂
Those dam crotch kickers
Wild bermuda for the win 😂
Sir, what will kill the Day Flower and Harry Bittercress weeds? Thank you,
this right here ruclips.net/video/wn5u_YmhCvg/видео.htmlsi=ITizbWjTRG3ZGWVH
my guess is that the soil at the dead spots in that bahayah lawn has been poisoned with weedkiller , the death spots sitting so near the walkways
