      They didn't even bother to learn how radio telescopes work, which is a pretty basic thing. They seemed to think they work like radar by bouncing signals of the object they are observing, rather than just detecting radio signals emitted from the object they are observing.

    3:13 is not how radio telescopes work, they detect radio waves emitted from the region they are observing. They don't work by bouncing signals off the object like radar.

      I was literally about to say not only is that not how it works, if the cow was an estimated 200 million light years away, how is 3 weeks enough time for this to work as said in the video? Oh well they can't win every time.

    If we put a giant mirror 10 light years away from earth and looked at it through a telescope, theoretically we'd see 20 years into the past.

    • @izzydev9919
      @izzydev9919 4 года назад +67

      @@vxltrxn5825 I might be completely wrong, but if we place it 65 million light-years away, and then try to look at it now, we'd see it after 65 million light-years, meaning that we will see what was happening 65 million light-years before that point, which is to say, we would see what is happening right now. So we would look in the past but won't see dinosaurs.

It's an interesting paradox that makes me smile for the sheer absurdity of it. This universe is such a cool thing.
