I'm now a senior citizen yet Amira has been my inspiration since she first appeared on HGT in 2013.
What she has accomplished and the way she has conducted herself is extraordinary. Amira is still only a young girl but with a lovely disposition and genuine kindness, who just happens to be a musical prodigy.
Her appeal crosses generations and genders because she sings so purely and beautifully from her heart with an amazing quality of voice that defies explanation and touches our hearts and souls. These characteristics are displayed in every song and seems to be in everything that she does in life.
I’m grateful that I have had the opportunity to have seen her perform live in concert; seen all her stunning performances on U Tube; shook her hand at her last Fan Day and I am still young enough to learn from her example. I hope to continue to share, with all her other fans particularly my good friend and diehard fan Ray Vanderberg, in the joy of her astounding musical talent, determined, when able, to support her and her Foundation on her amazing journey.

The words of Jerusalem, from "Milton" by William Blake (1757 - 1827). Today it is best known as the anthem "Jerusalem", with music written by Sir Hubert Parry in 1916. .....and sung,as always,superbly by amira!
David and others, she is not singing Jerusalem, by Parry. This song is The Holy City, from Wikipedia: a religious Victorian ballad dating from 1892, with music by Michael Maybrick writing under the alias Stephen Adams, with lyrics by Frederic Weatherly. You can see the title briefly on the pianist’s music. Parry’s hymn was beautifully performed at the end of the movie Chariots of Fire.
