Holy chit! I can't believe you guys 2man those conditions. You're timing was pretty incredible for the conditions. I've just realized I pissed my life away surfing all these years, because I had no idea this was going on, or could be done on those blown out days we weren't surfing. Nice job on the video! That run looks amazing. Would you mind sharing how you mounted camera poles to the ski? Amazing they never came off during this run!
Good ol duct tape wrapped right round the boat and over the camera pole
Our new Boost double has been made with mount adapters that fit the boat shape perfectly. We can then just screw the new mounts in with an adjustable shaft for playing around with various camera heights.
Should be getting them soon then we can do away with the duct tape😃

elwoodzo, sorry for the late reply champ. Man it was one fast downwind that day. I believe we maxed out at 26km/h that day, averaging at 18km/h. Hoping to edit speed stats and HR in future videos. Just need to get hold of some new multipurpose watches.😁😎😎🙌 Cheers mate.

Heya Surfski Guru. Thanks for the message. Jerry made some camera stands with PVC pipe and a wooden bloke that forms the base. The base also has rubber underneath it so it doesn't scratch the ski and provides grip. We then permanently attached a gopro mount to the top of the stand. We have tried many products to keep water droplets of the lens. The best we have found is a little bit of window cleaner works but be careful not to rub it on the frame of the lens. It will eat the plastic. Otherwise, the good old fashioned way of licking the lens works well. 😁😁😁 Hope this helped. Cheers Z&J

Hello J Dh, it would be a challenge in those conditions but I think it would be doable😜😂Champ, we are fortunate to have a downwind taxi service, Millers Taxi, who picks us up at our finishing point and takes us back to the start.
