My grandmother had no knowledge of the game, she just listened to the gunshots and stuff while playing, one day she said she heard something very sinister (it was this song), and that's when she stopped and went to see what she was playing and she saw that part. They took the play away from me for months xD. What great memories!
I had problems finding the right way in Quake 2 at first as well, but finally figured out the game's level design and went through the game moderately fast. All that was more frustrating was Quake 2 Ground Zero's level design, which was below average, but a bigger problem with the expansion was its difficulty, and holy SHIT the difficulty! I only played on Medium but still got my ass blown up by those spherical bastard turrets like it was on the Nightmare difficulty!
@Mecitt unless you were running quake 2 on the lowest settings possible, you are wrong. the graphics on the ps1 version were VERY pixlated and blurry. there was also no sky box (instead just a prerendered sky) also the maps were slightly different and there were less of them. On a brighter not, it did allow you to use a mouse, making aiming very nice for a console. sorry if you got offended when i said "not even close" i just get annoyed when people say console shooters are better.
This was my test song of the 90's when i installed sound systems in cars. Good Highs and Lows for testing all the ranges
blew out a few subs from the bass line in the middle ;D
You're a man of culture.
Good pick
Addictively good music.
The most amazing theme in the ost
From 1:17 to 1:27 the synth or keyboard sounds creepy and perfect for those stages
They sound like a mix of female choir voice in despair IMO
This theme and stage takes me back!! Nothing but great memories!
This is the song that plays during the Processing Plant level, where the Stroggs tear humans apart alive. God, that stage is brutal.
It was so fitting when I'd walk around the prison with this song in the background.
And they said the first was the most creepy one.

If I were to make a Quake game, this would be the main menu theme.

The guitar in 0:33 is so lucid and the melody is like relaxation with despair
Kinda Alice in chains with rammstein style synth (industrial notes)
I can hear the soldiers going "ughhhhhh..." "let me out...."
I always thought it was Arnold Schwarzenegger saying it lol
I will rage vengeance on the 7 that disliked this song!
a friend of my childhood he was scared of this song all the time and was angry because its my favorite
Toxic waste facility
First playthrough died due to not knowing where to go
Second playthrough somehow found where to go
