To this day Quake 2 still has some of the best first person hands in the industry, that hand that holds the rifle is so damn perfect looking. Games these days STILL can't get the perspective right some days.
Now that I think about it, damn you're right. They always put the hands way too close to the screen, and it seems like the weapon is right next to the head.
This is what got me into metal music at the tender age of 7. And yes, I did play this game (PS1 version though) that early, gotta love my clueless parents, lol.
Brings back memories of watching my grandfather play PS1 version. So glad I can revisit this FPS classic on modern hardware thanks to the remaster by Nightdive Studios. Even if it doesn't include the ps1 version.

Personally I think sonic clang made this track for doom better, this track sounds more "computerized". Sonic clang version has nice drums and guitar play. 😛
