Descend into Cerberon is my fav though I like all the tracks but that track is empowering I feel like I could fucking kickass 10x better whenever I listen to that, fucking awesome, yeah.. :P lol
Best soundtrack in game ever!!! "The soundtrack for Quake II was mainly provided by Sonic Mayhem, with some additional tracks by Bill Brown and one track Jer Sypult."
Quake II was the first FPS that I've ever played, I think that I was like, 4 or 5 years. With no doubt this soundtrack has taken me into industrial metal. Certainly one of the best FPS's that we ever had on the PS1
I was using another video to listen to the Quake 2 OST, but that one got banished to the shadow realm a few months ago. This is the only other video on this whole site that matches it in quality, I really hope this doesn't go down too.
Can somebody post the complete list of the mix for the mission packs? The mission packs are a mix of five new tracks and five old tracks for each mission pack. I need to know what the track numbers are to take from the original game to give them all the right numbers. I bought the game digitally online and the tracks are all listed from 2 to 21 and I need to repeat some. I checked the Quake Wikia and it only says what the new tracks are and that it is mixed with five old, but not which or the order.
The post-doom II era brought us the best shooters ever: Quake 2/3, Unreal/Tournament, Half-Life, and Jedi Knight DF2. Granted, I really enjoyed some of the original shooters like Doom and Heretic, and some of the modern shooters like Halo or Bulletstorm, but that 1996-2000 period reigns absolute king.
I can't understand why there are not more game like this made today. I still play QuakeLive from time to time, But we could really do with a new Quake/UT shooter. Sick of the Call of Duty Crap we are handed today. P.S Search for 'If quake was made today' :D
Saani Maula Tbh, i did not hate on halo, i just kommented on the minds of CoD and Halo-players. The thing is that the difference between console-shooters and PC-Shooters is speed and the problem with consoles is that you cannot be as precise with a controller as you can be with a mouse, twitchreaction-shooters cannot really exist on console.
Well I mean I beg to differ. For example in the pro scene of League of Legends there is one player who is fairly quick and uses a trackball. In one sense he is actually more dexterous with that than a person with a conventional mouse. The accuracy/reaction-speed depends on the person and the device, not solely on the device, granted that there are FAR more accurate people on PC.
I always say, music makes a movie, in this case, it also makes a game. I'm using UQE Quake 2 and sadly I can't get the soundtracks to play on the mission packs. Anybody know how?
You know i was gonna get a tatto of the quake logo but something told me that it had to mean something found out that symbol is a demon possesion of your 2nd child binding symbol and one line is your first born wow

Probably because such games would overload the Cod and haloplayers minds.
WeXaztor Dont hate on Halo, (bungie renditions, Anything past them is open for discussion) its one of the few famous arena shooters of today.
Saani Maula Tbh, i did not hate on halo, i just kommented on the minds of CoD and Halo-players.
