Lifetime UK fan and we are absolutely stacked this year!!We have probably the second best defense in the SEC as well as the best receiver room in the SEC.Plus our new QB would be starting at Georgia if Beck would have declared.When Chip Traynum comes back in week 2 we’re gonna dominate this season!!And I’m saying we’re leaving Knoxville with a huge win this year.
You all are smarter than UK’s own ‘Sources’. UK really looks great! There defense is smothering!
Kentucky has consistently had a top 3-5 defense in the SEC, even some years since 2018 being top 2. Last season though their defense wasn't as good as it normally is. I think that the defense will get back to being stout like always, and depending on how good Brock vandergriff is, they could be really good this year. And i was agreeing with Blake until he said they are gonna lose at Florida. Have you guys not seen Kentucky had surpassed Florida on the gridiron and not only beat them in Gainesville the year before last they done it convincingly with a first year and terrible offensive coordinator in Rich Scangerello, then last season they just dog walk Florida. They simply have been more talented than Florida. They have been as talented as ive ever seen the football team in my lifetime. And their getting better and better on the recruiting trail. Players are leaving Ohio State and Michigan to play at Kentucky now, that was unheard of 10 years ago.

UK Fan here......we usually win one we shouldn't and lose two that we should dominate. That being said, We have never had a team built like this one. Who knows what we'll get.

TD Terry was the newly minted qb who won on the road at Florida… first time we beat them in 31 years. Also our first ten win season at Kentucky in forever. We’ve only lost what… 1 to Florida since then? 2 maybe?

Both those teams had great defenses too though. Gotta bank on the defense being top tier again and I think the ceiling goes to 10 wins. So long as the Hamden - Brock connection is functioning, then the only two guarantees I see are UGA and Texas. Kentucky should’ve beat ole Miss on the road a couple seasons ago. So I don’t think that’s guaranteed as a loss.
Stoops is a defensive guy, and he’s gotta get that unit playing at a high level again, and this season I think he does

That is the 2nd toughest schedule in the conference , and still UK can win 10 this year, they are so deep , every position execpt QB

Even last year with all their troubles, the only reason they didn't finish 9-4 was that they blew two games they should have won. Crunch time performance will again be key. Vandergrift needs to mature fast.

DC Brad White tried something different with the defense last season. We had a lot of talent but some of the guys from the sophomore class were tweeners. He had multiple Hybrid DB/ LB and now he knows exactly what to do with them now that they have tape to look at. Brad White will produce the best Kentucky defense of all time. I think it’s good enough to be the #1 rushing defense, and the #5 in pass defense in the SEC.
I think Kentucky is probably in a better position this year. Because I think they will win 2 of the 4 games everyone is saying that they will lose. Georgia Ole Miss I think they will win one of these 2 games and Tennessee and Texas I think they will win 1 of these 2 games. I know it sounds silly but that's what I'm filling. Look at the schedule each 2 games I told you about line up with each other if you put the first 6 games beside the 2nd roll of 6 games. All 4 games are in the same position in both rows. That's what I was looking at. I swear I believe Kentucky can win 2 of those 4 games.

7:00 I agree Kentucky will probably lose one they should win, but I have a hard time believing it will be Florida just because of Ben Hill Griffin. Kentucky has won two of the last three in Gainesville and those Florida teams were arguably much better than this year's Florida team.

Ky. DC plays a prevent type defense, not aggressive, New OC is proven guy, good hire, HC knows nothing about offense and he’s 35-55 in SEC games, Ky now has a starting QB who has never started a CFB game.

Tenn had a better defense in total sacks , tackles for loss , 3rd down defense , points allowed ,rush yards allowed , etc. Now uk did allow less pass yards . Look, it’s fun to make projections and this or that, but at least have your facts straight first. Tenn is scoring like 38 points per game versus uk under Josh heupel . Uk hasn’t even came closer to slowing them down , last year was the least amount of yards and points they have allowed to Tenn, and it still wasn’t enough to win. When uk needed a stop to get the ball back? Tenn ran the clock out , by running it down UK’s throat. Uk could win 9 or 10 if they pull some upsets . But Tenn won’t be one of those wins, it’s in Knoxville , uk is what 1-18 in Knoxville in the last 36 years ? And stoops still hasn’t figured out how to slow down the heupel offense . But please if you are going to debate and speculate , at least have the facts straight . Saying Tenn struggles on offense , Uk has a better defense , etc , is just plain wrong. Go look up the stats

It wouldn't surprise me if Kentucky beat the living shit out of Georgia. Then lose the other 3 games everyone else is saying they will lose. But I believe that Kentucky can go 10- 2 and win their bowl game. 11 - 3

Don't know what y'all are seeing but with that schedule٫ Kentucky is going either 6-6 or 5-7.
Lol they have literally finished with a winning record almost every year since 2016. 6-6 is floor, with a very real ceiling of 10-2. People sleep on how talented Kentucky's roster is. If Brock vandergriff is as advertised they could be a threat to make a playoff, because the defensive side of the ball their a top 5 unit in the league easy. Maybe top 3. Just depends on the offense, the offense has literally been the only issue with Kentucky, stoops can't keep a good offensive coordinator. I think they go 8-4.

@@xavierlhill kentucky is way better than South Carolina at this moment. Kentucky has a better defense than South Carolina and a better offense than South Carolina. South Carolina got lucky the past 2 times. 2022, Will Levis was out with Turf Toe and a dislocated finger, 2023 was week 12 at South Carolina and Kentucky was coming off a loss vs Alabama. Go Cats.
