There's an interesting fan theory about Marin being the only other real human being on the Island other than Link. The evidence is given by the owl when he mentions that she tried to wake the Wind Fish herself. Something no other person on the island would even think to try to do. So when the Wind Fish awoke, so did Marin from the dream. As to her location, we can only assume that the Hero of Legend went on yet another adventure to find her.
@@taemien9219 i like this thought, but i’ve honestly always preferred the idea of marin becoming a seagull that flies around the world for whatever reason
I actually played this way back in the day on my aunt's old SNES, which paved the way for my love of RPGs. Never in my life have I ever played a game that gave me the same energy as Link to the Past.
One thing to take note about the Hero of Legend is that he had to fight Ganon in possession and mastery of the full Triforce. Ganon was the Forger of Strength, Keeper of Knowledge, and the Juror of Courage. We was able to take the Triforce and make his wish with all three attributes in balance. A feat no other version of Ganon was able to do. If you remember in Ocarina of Time, Ganondorf took the Triforce when the sealed realm was opened, however the Triforce split when he made his wish, and he was only able to keep the Triforce of Power. However the Ganon of the time of Legend was able to keep the Triforce whole, making his incarnation incredibly dangerous. The Hero of Legend didn't have the Triforce of Courage to help him. Fun little fact about that Ganon that isn't really relevant unless you play low% or randomizer, but he cannot be harmed by the Master Sword unless it is Tempered without using Spin Attacks. Neither can Lynels.
Actually the Ganondorf from Ocarina of time is the same one from Link to the Past. Link to the past was in what was known as the Downfall Timeline where Link actually lost and Ganon took the Triforce's of Wisdom and Courage from Link and Zelda. So in a desperate move to stop him the Sages sealed him in the Sacred Realm with the Triforce. There is a little hiccup since the intro to Link to the Past says there was the "Sealing War" where the Knights held off Ganon's forces until the Sages could finish the seal, but then the official Hyrule Historia timeline states this is what happened. So no Ganon from Link to the past didn't possess a balanced heart and did have to take the other missing pieces.
@@digitaladventurer2142 The only issue with that is that page 5 in the Link to the Past manual does state that Mandrag Ganon does make multiple wishes, and the Triforce does not split. While I do agree that Hyrule Historia suggests that this is the result of the fall of the hero timeline and this could be the form of Ganondorf after a Triforce of Power empowerment (that you see in OoT final fight). He would have at the time of the Imprisoning War (ALttp version), had all three attributes in balance. Its very possible after having the Triforce split in OoT that he learned that his powers would need to be disciplined and honed and thus was able to do so. But we do know that wishes were granted. His granted powers corrupted the sacred realm and turned it into the Dark World, his influence garnered many greedy people to flock to him to serve in his army (Moblins in ALttP), and we see the Triforce at the end of ALttP fully intact after he managed all of those feats. Suffice to say, the Hero of Legend had a very uphill battle to face. Though I suspect Ganon decided to distance himself from the Triforce (acting through Agahnim) when dealing with Link as to not inadvertently split the Triforce as if the Hero of Legend obtained the Triforce of Courage, he may not be able to survive another encounter with a hero empowered by it.
Its also slightly possible that The Hero of Legend appears in Link Between Worlds as well, as an old man who hosts challenges where you fight Dark Link, but that’s left to the individual player to decide

Hero of Legend being widely belived as the most powerful Link was a big misconception by the final battle of Ganon having the full Triforce during the encounter. However, the game, instruction manual, and even the strategy guide contradict this. For my money it would be the Hero of Time.
This Link takes 1/4 Less damage with the Red Tunic and it can be potentially increased to 1/16 less damage if he uses the Color Fairy's Blessing and the Blue Ring from the Oracle Games. Then he has upgraded the Master Sword into the Golden Sword, which deals 4 times its former damage and is thereby not only the most Powerful Sword when it comes to Exorcisms, it is stronger and more damaging than the Fierce Deity Sword - which is in Damage Values just a fancy and Advanced Biggoron Sword/Great Fairy Sword. And he has the Silver Arrows which deal 50 times the Damage of the Regular Master Sword to Normal enemies (making it deal 1500 Damage in Botw's values), giving it the capability to even One-Shot Bosses that are vulnerable to Arrows in General. He is theoretically just barely vulnerable compared to other Links and he can practically hit as hard as a Lynel and even one-shots each Link individually
As much as I'd like the Hero of Time to be the most powerful, given he is my favorite, I gotta hand it to Legend. If you combine his experience at the end of LA with his gear at the end of ALttP, he is by far the most powerful and technically skilled hero of the series.
