I am not happy with this sound when you open the door or put into drive, can't see where to turn off?any ideas.
I wish there's an easy way to switch between outside and inside air modes, as well as between fan-only and A/C. The touch interface is many taps away when I use Android Auto and the layout is terrible. Oh, and to turn on the bottom fans.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I updated after watching. I have noticed there are now annoying noises every time I put the car in reverse or park or turn off. Also the reversing warning noise is different. Any idea how to change these especially the noise when I put car into reverse? Thanks

Thumbs down for low voice volume then suddenly blasting my ears with loud bass. Cant you listen to the video before uploading.
I cant wait for clearer fonts on the drivers binnacle. Shouldnt be hard you would think. I wrote to BYD and they sent me a response acknowledging it needs doing but did not indicated when.
Spotify works very well on my vehicle. I also plugged in an ancient Phillips USB player and somewhat to my surprise it has integrated very well.
Can only get the browser app to work when it is attached to WIFI Any advice?

A note on the DRL toggle, I believe it only turns off DRL while in park and will re-enable DRL when the transmission is shifted into drive.

Hey, while trying to update the software, I get a pop up that says "This feature cannot be used normally because you have not agreed to the BYD Vehicle System Privacy Policy, you can use it normally after agreeing to the BYD Vehicle System Privacy Policy."
Can you figure out what is this and how do I update to the latest firmware?

Having an app store with 3 apps is cool and all but kind of moot when you can download and install any APK file you want anyway
I've just noticed that there is no annoying humming sound (pedestrian warning)when reversing or driving at low speeds. It was so loud!!

The change to the sound when the vehicle starts, is put into drive or reverse, or when the park brake is applied is now annoying and bloody BS, why can't they leave the original sound the hell alone, why did it need a completely different sound?
Mine will be going back to a dealership here in South Australia ASAP to have the latest OTA updates removed.
The only thing in this latest update package that I want personally is the change to the pedestrian warning feature. It is a lot more subdued with this upgrade.
The rest of the enhancements personally is un warranted
If they just can re install the pedestrian warning system and upgrade that software individually, that will be good. If not, leave this latest entire update off my vehicle, I can live with the original pedestrian warning sound.
Once it's back to some sort of normality, Im removing the E-sim from my vehicle so I get no further OTA notifications and updates. The main issue I have is that you get no choices or options with the OTA updates around driver enhancements, its a all or nothing approach when it comes to OTAs
My future updates will be done at the dealership and only updates that centre around vehicle safety or battery management only, I dont need all this additional app crap loaded onto my infotainment system and vehicle.
It's a vehicle whose primary function is to get you from A to B.
I use mine as a daily commute vehicle, not for long road trips. If I need to cross state borders on the rare occasion, I fly.
I completely understand that other people do take road trips and love having every conceivable app downloaded to their vehicle, I'm just not one of these people, I have a mobile phone for that very purpose.
It will be interesting to see if you can watch a RUclips video while driving or while using the karaoke feature if this contributes to the national road toll fatalities each year.
I expect updates will be cumulative.
Browsers hides when driving. Have you tried turning your sound from ‘brand’ to ‘standard’.
It's on standard. This sound has been changed with the latest update
Becareful when refusing to keep your car up to date. If there is a warranty job that needs doing and it's a direct result of not having updated a part of the car, you could be rejected (I know it's a rare chance, but Tesla has had track record of doing this, I imagine the BYD T&Cs are similar)
Good luck getting specific features installed. No way any manufacturer would offer that level of customisation… same for your phone, TV, laptop or any application that gets updates. You don’t get to pick and choose… just learn to adapt and adopt the change and give feedback to BYD instead.

Due to the fact that I do not have a user agreement, my Android car does not work and applications do not download

Good updates for the Atto 3, Dolphin & Seal(assume it's rolling out to all 3 vehicles).
This brings Atto up to Seal level. It is coming for Dolphin.
The Seal desperately needs an update to remember driver assist settings and to calm down the lane assist which is horrendous.
Would this update be for Dolphin's as well ?
I have been told it is coming.
