comps like tsg wanna win through sustained pressure with the occasional small setup here and there. they do this by prolonging the match and staying alive, and healers that have high throughput and/or high mana efficiency do this the best (mw, rsham, rdruid). priest as a whole is known to have generally poor throughput and mana efficiency, though this is offset by them either dealing high damage relative to normal healers (disc priest) or having other niches (holy priest w rez effect on allies and greater heal). Every comp is gonna have their "best" healer based on what the comp wants to achieve, so even though disc priest is bad for TSG it is very good with rogue/mage, since rogue/mage aims to win through setups (burst dmg+cc) and disc provides a lot of that. TSG would also be quite bad with an hpal as well, for the reasons listed above (they have poor throughput and ok mana efficiency, offset by the fact they have the most CDs in the game).
Firstly every good priest comp involves classes that have immunities ferals being the only exception. Secondly priest doesnt work very well healing cleaves that arent jungle or thug because they dont have instant single target heals or powerful short CD externals that can be used retroactivly they have to pre use cooldowns and cast alot to heal they cant just spam hots or use an aura mastery mechanic heal to top someone. They also have mana problems which isnt ideal for healing cleaves.

Because Disc is a setup healer. Pretty strong offensive-wise but does not have the highest healing output normally. Weak mana aswell and dies pretty easy without support or insane pressure on the enemy team. So usually found in RMP or Jungle a lot.
Do you think Mage / DK / Hpal or Rdrood or Dpriest is a bad comp ? You didn't speak about it in this video and we want to try it during shadowlands with friends.
I know other people have said this but I would like to throw this in as well. I love all of y'all's content and watch your videos regularly to keep up with the meta and to refresh myself before SL. BUT this video did seem to throw healers to the side and wasn't useful to us unless we listened out for the specs we play to be idly mentioned and then cast aside for more talk about DPS. The only time we really can use this video is when you throw up the charts, and that still doesn't show us our best comps. So could we please get a video like this, but for healers? It would be greatly appreciated.

In another video about "Best PvP Healers in Shadowlands", the disc priest is said to be the best pvp-healer, but here you recommend for several comps to choose "any healer but no priest", and there's no easy comp with a (disc) priest. So, maybe it's because the disc-information is outdated? (I just checked, it's 2,5 months old.) Well, according to this video, I would consider resto druid to be the best/easiest pvp-healer. ? Well, thank you for this great overview. I will definitely head for an easy comp ;-)
I just started playing again, haven’t played since cata but I remember that being pretty strong back then, from what I’ve heard afflic isn’t too good rn :/
It's not terrible the issue is both are kind of I guess the best word is enabler specs in that they kite and peel and do decent damage well but when you look at either playing with like a lock or spiest with either of those specs they compliment them more. Like take spriest boomy your goal is going to be to spread as much damage as possible and sunfire moonfire and shooting stars help facilitate that rot style more while making moreso the spriest the center point of the comp. The other issue you are going to run into is not really having a healer that fits resto sham and druid bring the same ccs you already bring to the table. Disc priest will run out of mana before you hit win con. It really leaves you with just holy pally or maybe a really passive rdruid
DK/Boom/R Sham might be boomy's best comp but they don't mention it at all which is interesting to me. Sub/Boom or Owlplay both work(ed) very well on the beta, and I would love to test DK/Boom, but arenas have been broken for a few weeks now so its nearly impossible to test with the current build atm.
I havent played in a while and just got back in, but probably double dps if you want fast matches just for the weekly. Looks like a lot of people claiming shadow, sub, ret, and hunters are overturned. Keep in mind nerfs may come too.
Is shadowplay really that easy to pick up? I haven't played it since Cata, but would have thought it would be harder based on how hard it is to play SP or Affliction well. I understand that like most specs you can mash your dps rotation and win some games, but they both have a lot of abilities and cooldowns to manage correctly if you want to maximize the class. I've played priest from WotLK through MoP and then all of BFA, but I know that I am no expert at all. I'm truly wondering if I'm missing something or overcomplicating the class. Or maybe they are just so good together in SL that we can face roll across the keyboard and still win
You forgot Kittycleave, with how warriors are I feel it could still be a super viable option and on paper it doesn’t seem to have changed much and should be an easy to moderate difficulty to pull off.
Yes but ifyou are new to arena I highly recommend going with a mongo cleave or "easy" comps because arena has a lot of shit going on in regards to awareness and multitasking. So unless you are a very very very quick learner, I suggest go arms,dk,etc.
Healer priest is good it's just comp dependent. Priest requires good peels as healing priest sacrifices survival for offense. They have offensive and defensive dispell, mass dispell, aoe cc and because its melee and not spammable then again requires control from outside the priest to be full effective, let's not forget mind control which leaves the priest defenseless, along with probably the highest ranged damage of all the healers, still brings a dot vs rogues, mana burn(if it's still in the game, returning player) and shield brings a synergy that's like future healing, popping a shield allows a global for something else, good for dots on rogues for restealths or to double over the shields on a mage.
Imagine putting Shadowplay into the same tier as the Mongo Cleaves. The difficulty of playing single school casters os night and day difference when compared to melee, specially Affliction. 1 small mistake/miscommunication/overlap and the Lock is dead.
Why would you play a caster if mongo cleaves are that mongo? To me it seems like a dumb decision and if I was trying to achieve gladiator I would most definitely take the path to least resistance (whether that means playing a busted spec,comp,easy,etc).
RMP is an absolute joke, I know guys who have literally played 1 season of PVP and achieved 2.6k as RMP but can't break 2.2k as literally any other comp, idk why everyone seems to think you need to be some kind of god to play the comp, literally as braindead as TSG.
Good content. I just think the boomy comps is better, viable and easier to play then any Feral comps, right now. And i'd easily replace Feral for Boomy in all comps Feral takes place in this video. (I was main feral for a long time, and i'm playing Boomy right now in Pre-Patch).
@@qyzxger790 Rogue is the easiest class in Warcraft. They have EVERY CC Instant including cheap shot, kidney, blind, shadowstep kick. Easiest class in the game, if you are sub-par or better at WoW. Edit: Forgot to add shadowy duel and smoke bomb. Easy as it gets.
RMP is a hard comp IF and its a big IF that rouge mage needed any cc to kill somebody as the way they are rightnow they are so hard to kill and they can just run over you by their insane stun and burst dmg when you see 70% of ladder playing RMP above 2.2 which we saw in alot of the seasons in legion and bfa its only means this is a very ez comp to play anyone that saw assasin fire mages meta can confirm that.
@gstee main content creators prob. playing RMX so yeah. Rog and mage always the hardest whatever tier list they make. It WAS hard when it was the do the perfect cc chain and score the kill. But now... land a full poly when full kidney is ready and GG. On top level where everyone plays almost perfect games it becomes a HUGE skill game but on the average from 1.8 to 2.5 rating level its really not that hard since you overlap a def cd (its not that rare since most teams are pugs without voice) and you wont survive the next go.

The rotation of any class is prob the easiest part in the game. Why should they even consider this.
what about WW/ShadowPriest, I assume Druid should be a good healer... Looks like the first season of SL will be Resto Druid meta
