    This was great and very helpful to me. I have an Indian Ringneck coming in July. A beautiful cobalt blue male and then my flock will be complete.
    Your Amazon on your shoulder looked like he/she was listening to what you were saying. It was so cute! I love Amazon parrots too.

      You’ll have to let me know how your Indian ringneck is doing once you’ve had him for a couple of months. Males seem much easier and more friendly, so I can’t wait to hear your experience.

    How will amazon be with other animals like small dogs , under supervision?

      @ParrotBliss  Год назад +1

      I can't say. We make sure our small dog isn't around or too close to our Amazon.

    Can you do a video about Senegal parrots getting along with other parrots. We have a Senegal named Niko- chose my husband. Also just adopted a green cheek conure- chose me. We take them out separately for now and are working on short sessions together in our bedroom while they are training and getting treats. Reggie the greencheek wants to meet our Senegal Niko in the worst way. Not sure how that'd going to play out so we are being super careful. Our Senegal is alot of fun and talks. He can get hormonal and bite me.

    Loved this video. When I had my Amazon she hated my husband. She couldn’t wait to find an opportunity to nail him. She would tolerate women but I was her chosen person.

      How did your husband Handle the Amazon’s behavior?

      Of course he hollered then got over it. When my parents visited she couldn’t wait to get her beak into my father. She only bit him once. My father became much more cautious around her.

    Great comparison! I LOVE Indian Ringnecks but not the bird for me. Amazon's bite intimidates me and I'm at an age I would need to adopt an adult bird. I guess I'll just keep watching them in your videos. 🙂

      It sounds like you’ve done research on Indian ringnecks, Robin! I think male Indian ringnecks are practically a different species than females, but in any case they are not the cuddly ones. I feel like they are a little difficult, sometimes at least! Amazons too! Doing research and making sure I have the right parent makes all the difference! Enjoy my Amazons!

    Tbh i had a pair Red head amazon and they were not that loud the loudest pesky birds i have had was SUN CONURES 🥴

      Good to know! Certainly not all Amazons are loud, but they all seem to have the potential. And, I do hear that Sun Conures have a reputation for a reason! Lol! Are your Sun Conures awesome? Because I also hear that about Sun Conures quite a bit.

    I have an amazing Male Indian Ringneck that is my soul Bird. He picked me right away and was already giving me kisses before we left the breeders house. I got him at 2 and a half years old and could not imagine life without him in it. I agree that Indian Ringneck’s are one person birds and don’t appear to like any other species of birds. I love my boy so much, he is such a sweet and affectionate bird and just loves his cuddles and being on me and will follow me around like a dog 😍❤️

      Thank you for posting Amanda. It’s really good to hear what your experience was/is like. If you’re boy was 2 1/2 when you got him, was he tame? There’s nothing better than a soul bird, right? Very happy to hear that you guys are doing so well!

      @@ParrotBliss yes he is hand raised and had been kept inside as the breeders pet, but had been out in an Aviary with a lot of other Ringneck’s that were not for about 6 or 7 months after she had to go back to work. Soul birds definitely are, I also had a Cockatiel that was as well, I’ve been so blessed with my birds and all other pets I have and have had. I have also come to realise that Sunny is a people bird and not even really interested other Ringneck’s.
