I am happy that Musashi is a boy!! He is not a one person bird. He is very sweet and cuddly.

Yes, seems that's what the boys are like. I think Musashi worked out perfect for you!

Your birds and aviary is amazing! I'm on a wait-list to get a pionus parrot. I doubt we will get much of a choice, but do you have an opinion on a male vs female for that breed? Thanks!

Cool! im about to get a male! it the only bird avalible for adoption......When im 16 im also gettting a dog! im only 8 so i hope when i get a dog or puppy they will get along! Me and my 5 year old brother agreed to name our new parrot Magic!

      Magic is a great name!
Please remember than dogs are predators- a lot of parrots get hurt by cats and dogs, even when they seem to get along. It's best to get your parrot another parrot friend for his safety and well-being :)

Hi! I've been watching your videos a lot lately and trying to choose the right bird for me. I thought I had landed with a hahns. Then fell for the golden conure. Then saw they were prone to plucking and sickness. And I must admit that is making me hesitant. I thought capes seemed standoff ish. But maybe ? I get excited to finally pick a breed then bummed when I learn they may not be a good choice. Any advice?

We've got a male Cape parrot that is around 5 years old. Unfortunately, he started plucking about 6 weeks ago after boarding and it's been really hard on my wife. Any suggestions?

@@ParrotBliss We've had him since birth and he's been a happy bird over the last 5-6 years. He selected my wife as his favorite person and has little to do with me now. We've got a 30 year-old Orange Wing Amazon. We've taken him to the vet and he is a healthy bird. It's been hard on my wife.

Hello, in a few months I will have a Cape parrot, so according to your recommendation a male is better ... but I suppose it will be with that little piglet, the same is not true in other parrots and the female is better ...

    • @ParrotBliss
