  • From poaching endangered shellfish to smoking quaaludes, this is the wild origin story of how meth took over South Africa.
The use of meth, known as Tik, has skyrocketed across South Africa. It's thought that the country might have one of the highest per-capita rates of crystal meth use on earth.
But the wildest twist in the tale is that this may have been ultimately caused by a secret weapons program run by the old apartheid regime itself.

If you have interest, I would like to see interviews of people who use wheelchairs and what it is like. How do they get treated, what are the plusses and roadblocks of being disabled. There is a large variety of people who use wheelchairs and I think there is a need for people to know the challenges and the attitudes of people who do not using wheelchairs.
      Thank you VIce!

Used to take Mandrax and Quaaludes a lot in my teens and 20s (I'm 54) and tbh methaqualone is infinitely more pleasurable than alcohol. Not hard to see why they were so popular - you'd get this warm, euphoric relaxation - like being drunk but without the unpleasant effects of drunkenness. They lasted maybe four to six hours with no hangover.
Mandrax was the trade name for Quaalude in the UK, South Africa, Australia, Asia. After Methaqualone was banned there was Doriden, (Glutetimide) which had the exact same effects but was banned by the late 1980s. Nowadays the closest thing is probably GHB, which feels very similar (except GHB makes people a lot hornier than Quaaludes ever did)
Interesting origin story: Quaalude was developed to allow doctors in wartime to get short periods of sleep but to be able to function if they had to be woken up, which was not remotely possible with barbiturates, chloral hydrate, or bromides - the other sleep drugs around at the time.

Like a doctor's script. 15 mg 3x a day worked for me. But that was Desoxyn. Street meth is a little more tricky to regulate dosage, but its doable.
But, if you can't moderate, (you CAN, you're just not applying yourself) then I guess a lifetime without it is your lot.
And you will have to go to a shrink and get properly diagnosed for the undiagnosed ADHD you have, and get a legal script for the much less effective Adderall or Vyvanse, etc.
(Hold out for Desoxyn) But don't get your hopes up. Settle for modafinil.

The sudden legalization of cannabis globally is a sign, governments are working hard to suppress an uprising.

"to deter uprisings, ... manufactured with the intention of crowd control, you can start by getting the crowd hooked (addicted)... and if they are hooked (addicted), that very same crowd will become a more docile crowd"... this is what they're doing currently in the USA with the best marijuana known to man suddenly becoming available on every street corner in 75% of our states

No, weed should've never been illegal in the US in the first place. If they wanted to do what you claim, they could've legalized it 50 years ago.

I am surprised that we don't see any black market methaquaalone in the US and haven't for a long time. For a little while after they were made illegal, Mexican Mandrax used to be available, but I haven't seen any in decades.

It's far worse, far worse than you can imagine. A life, it cost nothing.
I was marked by the feds and the technocracy for speaking to a few.
They illegally monitored all forms of communication and then emphasized on it by purposely spreading it to more eyes.
After a full year of harassment from the feds, they're now arranging hits, and worse, they're trying to initiate events to censor the entire internet.
