Wait til those press fittings in the basement start failing. They leak upstairs will seem like nothing. So glad to see that a plumber like Steve still does quality work
I hate when people let their dogs bark constantly and don't even try to tell them to be quiet. You're trying to talknti them over the barking . It's like 🤷 Unbelievable. Steve's working again yall!!
what was the exspansion valve used for ? because of excessive heat in the water ? or a freeze up in winter ?? or something else ? never heard of these for inline water plumbing. thanks
Hi It was a sliding joint It was for thermal expansion/ movement on long runs! After working 58 years in the plumbing industry I saw a lot of things come & go !
Agents are smart to pay few hundred dollars up front if they are making thousands to close the deal. Steve is right too, why get in the middle of who's gonna pay him
Yeah, but the agent also takes the risk of loosing that $. If the deal fell through, the agent would have to chase that $. Better than Steve chasing it though.
My Grandma had something that looked like that on her heater pipes. Never knew what they were. It was a 50's modular home with cast iron baseboards. This video is the first time I've seen them anywhere else.
It's sad that there are so many sleazeball realtors out there... A friend of mine is one (second career, former tech nerd), but when selling the house, he coordinated the work, and paid the contractors. Seems like a basic principle, but I think many in Government and Big Business have forgotten about integrity in the whole "money chase".
Those coaxial cables used to be my office. Most people don’t know where they are in their own house. Used to have to trace them down through junk and clutter and sometimes they didn’t like it
Hey Steve, we have the same problems with realtors 😂. I do a lot of pool inspections and it's cash up front or the inspection doesn't happen. The same goes for repairs on a pending sale. Money must be paid on site before the repairs are started.
Another Place to avoid is Hotels. They pay their first bills, then don’t pay. Next thing you know that Holiday Inn is a Ramada, with different owner. But, if you do some research, new owner is just someone in the same family.
How hard is it for everyone to understand that Steve is saving his money so in couple years he’s moving to the Philippines find a lady who’s going take care of him why he sits back and relax living it up like a rich man
I made that mistake working as a contractor for a house being sold situation, never again, took me months to see the money I was owed for the job, the real estate company made me wait months for the house to sell before paying me, unless you're on their payroll literally working for them, never contract through them
Steve, you weren't concerned about removing the expansion joint and installing with another expansion joint? How long was that straight line pipe run? 1" of thermal growth for every 10' of straight pipe, is what I've seen.
love your videos keep up the good work MORE FOOD videos too the gas price spikes when something happens i work for marathon and right now there are a couple refinery's that caught fire and are burning may have to do with it
Nice video. I know all about those Portuguese islands - Air Transat flight 236 request emergency landing at Lajes Air Force base. There's a video about that harrowing flight on youtube. Crazy!

I’d be worried about the Empty Cage. Been bitten a few times. Company wouldn’t let you sue.
I carry a squeeze bottle of honey and squeeze it on their snout. That keeps them busy and quiet for a bit.
Your hobbies include driving and working on antique cars, fixing up tractors, raising chickens, and being the ladies ATM machine :-)
Hi Steve definitely expansion joints! Popular in the 1960s & 1970s ! Installed a lot of them & removed a lot of leakers 🤣

Wonder if the paint boogered up the expanding bits

Exactly.
Love your attitude. Come off as a bit rude I am sure but is exactly how I feel and respond too

I’m picturing Steve rolling his eyes the entire job 😂😂😂
Good job Steve but I don't blame you for not working for real estate people and I knew there was more theory to how the Titanic sunk LOL.
Looks like you made it through another shit show mama! Thanks for video Steven!
Howdy Steve and Molly
Could u use a compression connectors instead soldering
Multi Tool would make quick work of that copper in a tight spot 😉
Solid work as always 💪🏻🇺🇸
First time you call a girl after a date=
👨 Hey babe what's up??
👩 Oh just trying to figure out how to pay this high ass electric bill.
👨 Hang up.
I just had a brain storm: Steve and this customer should be on the committee that comes up with the questions for the Miss Universe contestants!

It’s simple to get paid. They have to pay upfront. No payment no work.
@@doc145 agreed, thankfully you don't run into too many like who I dealt with
Thx Steve. Odd looking, that expansion joint.
kinda queer.
Ok to eliminate expansion joints?
Next level .

its not needed
Flippin dog pound in that basement.
Nice Fix!
Aliens are cool! So long as they are benevolent! I shingled my own roof, all by myself-low $. Have a slip? No, I'm not wearing one! hahaha
I like your job you are super man 🥇🥇
Wow, also bad piping to. Newer houses don’t seem to have exposed pipes.

Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍 It’s a big leaker mama!
tip of the blue; that's what my Dad taught me!
Never seen those expansion joints before! I don't see the need for them?
we have a couple gas stations in the area and they never compete, it sucks.

Why are you using gloves?
Hey Steve as long as these women that think your a personal atm take care of their man it would be fine 😅😅
Need to get you some new cleancloth
What fun
I would charge that real estate guy an extra $500 for his distracting, constant yammering.
Look at that shit!! LOL
you should get paid for what you do. we do not work Maintenace companies.
Expansion joints that's what the things are.
Show me the money

Another money chasing job fixing to happen, Steve
That agent was a yapper
First comment yippee
Haha, BJ card.
Why do so many people say "YUP YUP " in your videos ??? I have been around and never heard this idiom before ?
Does this real estate agent ever stop talking so you can you do your job ?!
I think i would have put an expansion loop in here on both lines. Just saying. You can thank Bidenomics for the price of fuel, Steve.
i had a couple rotties, now i have a couple chihuahuas and a chihuahua terrier mix.
Gas is going back up,, Ole uncle Joe has to give some more money to Ukraine.
