Sometimes, it’s really important to surround yourself with people who truly understand you. One thing I’ve realized is how lucky I am to have friends who, whenever we meet, we openly share our deepest problems.
It’s funny to think how we rush to share our rants, and then someone else jumps in, like a commercial break! We rant about life experiences, about everything. We meet up just to discuss various things, almost like giving a report to keep each other updated on our lives. It’s like a thesis with an introduction, and a summary of all the problems we’ve talked about.
My friends are not perfect-no one has perfect friends, right? We gossip too, and that’s normal. Despite that, I’m glad that at the end of the day, we respect each other’s boundaries, differences, and opinions about life matters, and that’s totally fine.
Friendship is about patience and family. There’s no hierarchy, no outshining one another. As long as our personalities click, that’s good enough for me. Friends make you feel comfortable in ways words can’t always express. True friends are willing to listen to your rants and give you an honest advice.
If you have those people around you, treasure them. They are meant to be in your life. They may not be related by blood, but they are always ready to defend you when needed.
