Always a pleasure watching Woody, the one RUclipsr every Keyboard Content creator refers to. Someone wants to trade my OP-1 for this and I'm concidering it.
thank you. very flattering although probably untrue! ;) oh yeah, that would be an upgrade, but something to be said for that little battery powered device too!
Wow! Thanks Woody! Yes many of those NI sounds I use all the time in production. This was a great reminder to use the Maschine + this way. I can see me making a stand for it with an older keyboard and bringing it back to life and usefulness. Thanks again!
Hey Woody, just wanted to say how much I appreciate your enthusiasm and down-to-earth vibe in your videos. They're always enjoyable to watch! If you're anywhere near Stockholm, it would be fun to meet up for a fika sometimes. ☕
i do use it indeed for some comp sometimes, incredibly powerful machine, basically a DAW in a box with loads of NI sounds, but I will admit, it takes some learning!
:) a Montage MIDI controller :) that's funny LOL. I have resisted MIDI controllers because the price without making any sound seemed high. But...never say never...I just bought the Novation SL MK3 for the sequencer which has a zero quantize option. I am a practiced pianist like you are, and wanted full sized keys for my controller/sequencer. This makes for a great package of experimenting with phrases up to 8 measures long, poly-meters, creative arpeggios, having control of up to 8 instruments (synths/patches), CC control of instruments, all with a human controlling the timing. And I only have one sequencer to learn instead of the sequencer on each instrument.
hi, the product is maschine central as mentioned in description, the price of NI stuff varies widely so best to check yourself, usually wait for the sales alhough this library is inexpensive anyways
@ Sorry, I should’ve finished that NI does neat sounds, used them many times. There is still a lot sounds in DAWs and VSTs. Without paying lots to NI or else every other year. Did not mean to sound negative and enjoyed listening you playing this morning! Cheers
I despise the leds of the Machine+. Dont think it was a faulty unit. The irrirtate the s**t out of me especially the one around the joystick on the left side.
the Sound Library are good but the machine it self has never intersted me the workings of the macine is complexs and i dont need that when it comes to making music people dont want to have to deal with all these tech bs they just want to make music when are manfacture going to wake up to this by making there devices easy so people can get stuck right in
yeah, it is quite hard to learn all the features and where to find them on the device. need to spend quite a few days trying to figure it out but that is the tradeoff with very capable and powerful devices.
I agree, but I get the impression this is intended as a "bread and butter collection". Personally I find these more useful than "zip-zap-woo-woo" show off patches (hopefully you know what I mean 😂), which by themselves can sound impressive, but often don't sit well in a mix. Considering this, I think this collection mostly sounds quite good and doesn't necessarily need to be extraordinary to be useful. Plus, the price is right!

Sounds wonderful
I will take one. Thanks Woody.
Great demo, thanks Woody! 🤩👍👏
These are really the kind of sounds I love.
Never heard such good choirs before...
Great synth engine.
agree, and these were just a handful of sounds from the hundred or two, and from a groovebox!
I like Roland integra better. It has a more organic sound.

appreciate the comment too, thanks, i can't keep track of my viewers but I'll try and post on my socials when I'm next up in the capital!
@WoodyPianoShack Technically it's Eskilstuna but I don't expect you to keep track of that at all. Cheers!
@@sinewaymusic oh! used to visit strängnäs all the time! those days are over tho!
@@WoodyPianoShack Small world! My wife works for Strängnäs municipality. 😊 Have a great weekend!
I have Maschine and want to get the Maschine+ but I'm waiting for when the new hardware comes out with more RAM and better CPU...if it ever does.
I think this is one of your favorite devices? Good for adding accompaniment to your wonderful keyboard performances.

Sounding great 👍

yeah the SL is a pretty sweet controller as you say!
I like & enjoyed the patches. I'm just basing this on my old broken Samsung from 5 years ago.
What exactly is the product and price? Assuming you have the Maschine hardware is this a single expansion pack you can buy, or does it come bundled?

Sounds lovely but how does it fair when you start to add drums and other instruments does it crackle and crash?
❤❤🎵🎵
it would be interesting to use those guitar samples with a midi guitar.
Ugh. So hard to decide between mpc, maschine and push.
I'll be doing a deep dive between the Push 3 and MPC in the next few weeks. No experience with the Maschine though.
yeah, it is. if any comfort, all 3 are great so you can't go wrong!
@@sinewaymusicTime to go visit Woody.
Never tried using my m+ as a sound module. Actually not sure how to do it.
i think all i had to do was connect a midi cable and load a sound onto the first group.
One problem with Kontakt there is too many sounds. I know it sounds stupid. Sold my Maschine + as one sacrificial to by Model D. Never regret.
i know what you mean, being faced with and auditioning so many sounds can harm creativity. less can be more.

Really unimpressed with those sounds, Thin and clippy sounding. N.I. is a dead O.S. and increasingly digital baggage.

I think the room sound is very much off, my friend. Something sounds really bad.
my room is terrible, you are not wrong. adding a smidgin of de-reverb in post, but it's ugly.
Not that extraordinary though

show me better sounds on another groovebox style device!
Thank you, Woody. This is fabulous. I’m afraid I might need one.🥲
