I love the ceiling makes it cosy and intimate Aussies know how to dig deep, the support, not only from your Fam and the OG’s (Dave n Quentin) are what makes you 👏🏼🐠🇦🇺🐠👏🏼
Love, love, LOVE seeing your documentaries/videos on the progression of your fish store! Keep these videos coming! In regards to the ceiling, just do what's best for the fish and your business. Never mind what every one else thinks.
This is absolutely impressive to see, there's nothing like this in the far north that pride on some of the things you want/inspire to do. I would love to bring a plant from my nursery and add it too your collection!
Suction cups with the little line holder on it could help hold your drippers in the tanks. Congratulations on such a great dream. Hangin out with the old fullas will teach you a bit.
You absolutely rock!! Your videos are amazing! Thank you for making this series about building your shop, you've answered so many of my question about how the water changing and filtration and lighting happens. I'm a total beginner and don't have a tank yet but I'm so inspired after watching your videos. I'm in Canada but one day I'd love to come see your shop. Best wishes on your career and keep up the great work!!
Maybe you could set up a camera in the back room and a closed circuit TV in the shop so that customers can see your current breeding projects or new fish in QT. That way customers can “tour” the back room without going in.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through our life without any obstacles, we would be crippled. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. Give every opportunity a chance, leave no room for regrets
I would love to see a whole series pf videos devoted to Dave and Quentin reminiscing about old times, rolling smokos, having a few beers and only half way filming Nick assembling flat pack furniture while Dave narrates and laughs.
Absolutely Amazing job Nick. Certainly juggling a lot hats over the last few months, but an invaluable source of knowledge you have aquired in the process. The solution you came up with for the ceiling was inspired and will serve you well in the shop. Possibly 1suggestion some time when finances allow might be to swap out some of the panels with dual walled clear celled acrylic panels - the type they use for hot houses for tropical plants. They are pricey but you might be able to scource them from a supplier not a hardware retailer. If you line them up with windows would let some natural light in, if tat is something you would want. Definately stand Firm on your thoughts of public access into the working rooms, it would be disruptive and would get out of hand very quickly and its best to start out the way you want it to run rather than start something, realise the flow on effects and then have to back track to shut it down. You would be giving yourself double the work. Besides everyone can get a personal tour through your youtube channel and would really look forward to them, I know I certainly will. Fantastic work Nick, truely inspiring and looking forward for whats to come 💥
It has been such a pleasure watching your progress and growth. My 12 year old grandson and I have been so inspired by you. Fish keeping is a passion we share. Only wish we lived in your country to see this. Thanks for inspiring us.
One thing I recommend is to put the water imput at the bottom of the tanks. That way when the new water comes in it stirs up the waste and makes it go down the over flow easier.
You are quite younger than me but have inspired me so much Nick. I hope nothing but the best for you on this fish keeping endeavor. Much love from the US!
The guys helping you build this are fantastic. Love the smoko break/prank attempt but had beers in the back of the ute, awh. Reminds me of every classic sterotype old mate in australia ahaha. Love seeing the store come together, will have to visit in the new year when im south qld
Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I live in the US so visiting your shop in person is a bit of a travel (perhaps someday!). Will you be shipping to the States once your site is up and going? I've learned so much about fishkeeping from your videos and I'd really like to support your business in any way that I can! Thank you for all that you do! May your business be successful and your fish continue to thrive.
I would definitely take at least a few panels out of the ceiling when you can. Maybe even paint it ceiling white, if you can. All that natural light makes it more welcoming in my opinion.
I’ve been watching since you were in your parent’s (?) house with four tanks in the dining room, and I am so glad you have gotten to this point! Good job mate, keep it up.
Congrats on the fish shop . Looks awesome . Don’t stress to much on the money aspect . You got a solid fan base and the shop will become a success in no time .
Good Luck today with your opening. I hope it went well. Watching from Moscow, Russia. I am an Australian living over here. Found your channel a recommended one to watch, really enjoyed it. Dave needs his own channel, if he could get someone to follow in around on his jobs. Russell.
I hope you had lots of people come in for a look today. If I'm ever up north I'll come check it out for myself (I'm in Victoria) Congratulations on all your hard work.
How good are old Aussie blokes😂 , pretty crazy I’ve lived in Yeerongpilly my whole 19 years, I started watching your videos ages ago then I didn’t watch you for a while, then one day I was sitting in my work truck on that street, I looked up from my phone out my window and seen your new shop sign, I’m pretty sure it’s when you guys where still there building lol.
You've done an amazing job with everything. You should be very proud and I'm sure many of us will be supporting you as much as possible on the rest of this journey.
Love the automation.. that hard work will pay off x1000 over time... Also.. please make sure you advertise on some clear sign or something that you are putting all that time/effort into quarantining your fish.. Im sure a lot of buyers (like me) would be really happy to pay extra knowing the fish are almost certainly not carrying disease, and have a higher % of survival.
Awesome job...wow man what an accomplishment proud of your efforts ....time for a beer and put your feet up but no time to relax now I bet that your open for business!!!
Looks great. You did a great job with the build. Can I suggest a Day a week or other week. To do back room wack throws. When the store I go to dose this. They get the more experienced fish keepers. Good luck. Shop looks great.
Congratulations!! 🎉Your fulfilled dream has now begun!! So proud of all you’ve accomplished!! I know there’s lots of success coming your way!! 🐠 🐟🙏🏼👏🤩👍😃
I've loved watching you build this. You've so well and should be proud. I live in the UK though and sadly can't come or I'd of been a regular customer because you di everything right with the interest of the fish. Hope you do videos from the shop still when open. Best of luck.

Brings tears to my eyes. So proud of you. Sending you lots of love from Texas.
