Pilates Ab workout: Series of 5 Abdominal Exercises

  • This is the series of 5 abdominal exercises from the classical Pilates mat repertoire. You can try one or two and rest in between as you build up abdominal strength and stamina to do all five. Needless to say, these are great exercises for building core strength!
    The exercises we go through in this video are:
    Single leg stretch
    Double leg stretch
    Single leg lower
    Double leg lower
    Criss cross

    About to teach my first class tomorrow and wanted a refresher on the series of five. Thanks for the help and I am OBSESSED with your book collection from 9 years ago! Where is Breaking Dawn?

    Sophia, I've been adding this series onto the end of my workouts most days, and I love it! I feel like it's really started to make a difference in my strength and appearance. As I get stronger, these moves feel even more challenging and I get more out of them. Thank you !

      That's great Candace. You can keep them challenging you by slowing them down, increasing the repetitions and taking your legs lower to the ground so they never get "easy" :)
