Tyler was a boring character who barely sounded like he cared. Jess was interesting during that one mission where she talked about her past with Underground Soldier. Mac was the best because he sounded like he was actually having fun.
I believe the Speed Card system and the MTX stuff was tied to the scenery/atmosphere of betting and gambling of the place called "Fortune Valley" - and yeah it sucks lol
All nfs dialogue is cheesy
BMW M5 sounds best
but I prefer NFS heat
The payback vulcan sound was actually insane

I honestly love how recent nfs have the twin turbo sound of the R34. It actually is very accurate, I mean just because the car doesn’t sound like the R34 of fast and furious it doesn’t mean that it’s automatically bad.
agree.... I like original R34 sound in Payback or Heat
The fast and furious sound mix of 2jz and rb sound. games lime nfs 2015 has stock rb sound.

@@nathy2k10 I remember that to have that sound you need to convert from twin turbo to single turbo and it needed to be a HKS turbo that is no longer in production plus exhaust and other parts, so it really makes no sense to have it as stock sound.
NFS has mostly had good car sounds one of the best but the game for me is mehhhh... Underground 2 was the epic one for me, don't like any modern one.
R35 and Vulcan had a best sounding in this game and eargasm 🔥
Mazda RX7 and Civic Type R also.
No other game for some unknown reason can't make the Aston Martin Vulcan sound like a screaming mosquito and the same thing with the F-Type that sounds like unholy demon....Payback's car sounds gave it personality and that is a thumbs up for me ❤👌
It's funny cause NFS Heat ruined the sound completely with a Lambo sound file lol😊

More so it has a few massive issues.
0:33 what's wrong with R34 sound? It's Nismo versions sounds literally like this. Rather a accurate sound than a digitalized 2f2f-a-like one. But I have to agree with you about Huracan, it sounds like the (g)old even-firing Gallardo, but it ISN'T the Gallardo.
The R34GTR in Payback sounds like XJ220 from NFS II.
this isn’t even a bad NFS, only 3 things people yap about
- the speedcard system
- hitting unrealistic bumps at high speed (when the car digs in the ground)
- car meta in races
that’s it! this game had the perfect 5 type of events to cycle in the game, just needs a tad bit more events! graphics are good car sounds are great and it’s a massive upgrade from 2015
edit: and i’ll even add this: best OST/Soundtrack out of all of the modern NFS games. it changes depending on what event you are doing or what part of the map you are in, as well as if it’s night or day.
Rivals, the run, most wanted 2012 have better soundtracks. I agree the payback one is good but not the best.

Those are some really big issues. I don't like my upgrade system to be a form of gambling. I don't want my car to unexplainably jump 25 feet into the air after I go through a dip in the road.
2015 was Better and it was fast and furious trash knock off .

NFS car sounds peaked with this game, Heat and Unbound can't compete. It's not just the sound but the loudness that's great as well

nfs has always had good car sounds, they don't sound exaggerated or bad, they sound as close as possible to the real car.

I freakin love the whine they gave to each car, adds to why i like driving around the map here than in Heat
Payback has its problems but after the few updates it got I would say its underrated. Still has the best customization bc of the derelict cars, has the most race type events for the era, very good soundtrack that hit the vibes very well and ofc they kill it with engine sounds
I've played this game over and over throughout the years! Unfortunately its upgrade system and lack of cops let it down big time... but there's just something Las Vegas that is so appealing as a map. But grinding to fully mod a car with the best cards is a tedious task
I know of bad things this game has but you can't deny the sounds are good if not better than las game nfs 15 ( there i said whats on my heart) the r8, gt3rs and vulcan do not disappoint while muscle cars come up just a bit close to irl the rest are nice to okay in my opinion so yeah its going to be controversial but i don't care anyway thanks flg for today's video and have a nice weekend bye now.

2.9L 6v on the 240z with semi smooth (from left 0-3) exhaust sound sound similar to a 4age's throaty sound
The ford gt also sounded pretty alright
In the NFSP, the car with the loudest sound is the GTR, is that right? and second in my opinion is the Challenger. Is there another car that has a louder engine sound? And in terms of exhaust shots, is there any car or cars that make it louder too?
bruh nfs payback is for me one of the most fun racing games I played this last months, I just completed in like 2 days but men, it was a blast
But, people said the microtransaction in this game is crazy. Did it affect ur progress. Cuz if it don't I want to buy it
@@troys.s8148if you want to progress more faster for online and stuff, it's posibly that microtransactions would be a thing, but in my case I just didnt care much, just play and thats it bro. The money in this game is basically no problem unless you want to get every car or parts
Honestly Payback got a bad rap for the speedcards (typical EA) but it's probably the most fun I've had on a new NFS game since the black box era
this game has probably the most accurate recording of an agera in any game except you find the sound on a huayra

This was the last NFS without engine swaps so you got to enjoy all the stock engine goodness. Engine swaps are cool but it sucks how they rob you of the right sound
Don’t swap engine and you’re good. Heat actually has amazing engine sounds

NFS Payback does have amazing sound effects, and physics. The story is eh. Pretty good game for what it is, besides heat, and 2015. imo
Missing golf nfs is the only game I know that has the realistic noise of its gear changes.
For me the Map is the best from new NFS games. and for some reason graphics

Card upgrade system
The three main reasons are the storyline is wack, the upgrade system sucked and relied on RNG if you wanted to make the most of it, and the offroading was pretty bad as well, especially for how much you had to actually participate in it. Ironically the drifting in Payback has been the best drifting experience in the past 10 years of NFS
Offroading is fun when you chose the right car for it @@MedicalBillz
@@liesideways oh yeah for sure, the derelicts were great for it, the Bel Air and Beetle decimated offroad but the handling still was pretty wonky overall.

I immediately disliked this game after I found that it had micro transactions and lootboxes, and it literally had the worst upgrading system in any NFS series
Also the graphics were a massive downgrade compared to 2015, looked like a mobile game
Shame though because it had pretty good car lists and car sounds

In GHOST Game era, Payback is the worst in term of game progression especially because the micro transaction, speedcard system, and whacky a** police
Aside of that, this is a good game to play alone or multiplayer
As for the whole franchise, The Run seems to have much worse gameplay than Payback.
