The way sheep spring up, all 4 legs off the ground, is just one of the most hilarious things to me in the world! Every time I see it on a video or in real life, it just makes me laugh! They can't help but be cute!!

It's amazing how this shows that love transcends to all living beings and even animals that aren't of the same species still feel compelled to give love to someone else even if that someone is different than themselves. To give and receive love is the greatest grace of life.

@@Pujastanto for example. Female bears will travel away from males to keep their cubs safe. You're more likely to see female bears traveling with their cubs through a neighborhood because they know the males won't.

It gets me every time to see these beautiful friendships develop between animals who aren't the same species and don't speak the same language. It proves that "words" sometimes aren't necessary at all. This is such a sweet tale.
I think animals communicate in pictures. That’s what pet psychics claim. Humans don’t pick up on the pictures that we send out, but our animals do. So it stands to reason that other animals can see/hear the pictures (or telepathy?) sent by other animals.

I would say that mother rejections are quite rare. Animal moms are usually the most caring on earth.

Humans can get post-partum depression. It's not that much of a stretch to think that something similar is happening to the sheep. Not their fault, and they can't get therapy or medication for it like we can.

Well, THAT was heartwarming! Friendship and love across species is delightful. I wonder if a vet or vet student has done scientific research ie. longevity, warding off herd illnesses,etc.?

Plenty of research done about sheep and how to get a sheep to foster another sheeps baby (quite gruesome and not easy and the window of opportunity is tiny). Generally speaking most domestic animals of social nature far surpass humans in absolute need of and instincts regading sociality. Humans can manage alone or with very little social structure or interactions, these animals cannot. And insticts of protecting young are often very strong if not percieved as prey. But for sheep, it's as complicated as refusing a lamb that they don't perceive has their personal smell.
There are evolotionary reasons for this.
Some pack or flock animals pool their resources and raise their young collectively to some degree. Dogs and domestic cats are amongst them (some wildcat species too).
There's plenty of research done on all kinds of animal behavior. Which is also why in many countries there are strict regulatiins regarding picking up baby wildlife to take home to "rescue". 9 out of 10 of the Anerican videos online aren't rescues but people who know nothing, steal babies when they are unattended (which happens daily) and then promptly domesticated rather than rehabilitated for sucessful release back to the wild. Since this became a huge industry and vehicle for attention thanks to the internet, alot mire damage has been done than good, because humans are so needy in their feels and don't bother about all the science that's available to them. Conservationists can no longer keep up with the sheer amount of "rescued babies" of many wild species and some of them endangered. Once treated like pets, their chance of being rewilded is gone and they end up in overcrowded sanctuaries or euthanized and that very same person goes at it again.
Nobody cares about science except the scientists in the US these days. Not the peer reviewed research findings on human behavior either, or the environment.
It's staggering.
This is just the sweetest....Beau is adorable. I love their bond, the exchange they share. Beau is so chubby, cuddly and gosh darn loveable!! They both are, bless Max for being there for Beau ❤️.

This was one of the sweetest animal stories of the hundreds I’ve seen! I loved the image of Max and Beaux reuniting in the field, as if there were no other sheep around. Max knows exactly which one is Beaux and they pick up where they left off. They’re precious!

I stopped eating lamb 53-54 years ago. I just felt so guilty about the precious animal that had to give their life for that. It's one thing to sheer them but never kill for meat, ever.
