Boost is designed to save Uber money and prevent high surge zones from appearing.
They use it to flood the street with desperate drivers and it's not really even a boost because they just drop the base pay.
It's been three months since Uber offered Boost+ in my area. ☹If they do offer it to you, there's literally no reason not to sign up for all of them.
Boost is almost always only $1.50 in Chicago and serves as nothing more than a cattle call to flood the streets with drivers. It sucks and I hope it goes away.

Over 5 years driving. Last night in Phoenix I picked up a couple of UOFA graduates. They told me that when they left the Diamondbacks game last night they had ordered an Uber ride. Shortly after ordering the rides Uber contacted them and asked if it would be okay to send a waymo driverless car. They agreed to the Waymo. They said that it was a very good ride. They admitted that it felt rather strange. Then they said that the best part of the ride is that they didn’t have to tip the driver. Is this where were headed? I think that Uber will continue to treat drivers horribly just to get rid of them and then introduce driverless cars.
Idk what we have to do but these fares are insane. They keep getting lower and lower. They no longer have boosts here in AZ it's only mostly on the weekends and after 10p.m they make it hard for us to work at random times. Now it seems like they want us to work when THEY think it's a high demand and want us to work. We also don't have a say on airport boosts. You MUST do at least 3 airport rides or they kick out of the airport boosts. They are getting out of control when it comes to controlling us.
I have not seen boost+ in a while in Sacramento. 🤷🏼♂️
boosts in new zealand uber is like 5 dollars one day 3 dollars another day, its just what they scalping off the top normally anyways, thats when we get it.. havnt seen it in months, let alone a surge or a quest!
This a new way to hide the surge from drivers they gonna pay you 10% more of the ride which is like a $1 not they cut the surge from $3 to $1 dollar uber and need ro be reported to the Labor department.
I don't even have Boost Plus in my market. Still making 32-40hr

They changed it to one day prior because too many people were doing what you were doing. Signing up for all of them and then dirive or don't drive. That's a horrible thing to do lol If you sign up for the day and time then drive that day and time.
How is that horrible? It's not like you get penalized for not driving at a time you signed up for it.
