Just for info, you do not require ‘Permission’ from a business/landowner etc to fly a drone in the (airspace) overhead.
The IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) control Irish airspace. As long as you’re operating your drone in accordance with the qualification you have attained, be it ‘Open’ A1/A3 or the higher qualification A2.
If one plans to fly in a professional commercial capacity, then it’s the ‘Specific’ Category. (Usually filmmakers etc).
However, nowhere within the applicable legislation is there any requirement to attain ‘Permission’ from a business/land owner.
The IAA update regularly, areas of Irish airspace, within which, the flying of UAVs (Drones) is forbidden. eg, Airports/Prisons/Military areas/Hospitals due to presence of rescue helicopters/Football stadiums when a large event is taking place.
If you have a DJI drone it’ll automatically be blocked from entering the above airspace , due to geofencing.
If you were asking as a courtesy, then that’s obviously different, however you don’t need permission.
Great channel. I enjoy the content.

Thanks Cedar Im aware of all that as I am registered with the IAA but I do ask out of politeness and I have only been declined 2 times in all the times I've asked. And I dont go against the DJI restrictions when in a flight zone or restricted area ...

@@CharlieandMeOurCampingVlog Thank you for the reply. I did suspect that it was out of politeness you asking for permission to fly your drone.
I suppose my point being is that , while you say in your reply that you’ve been ‘denied’ twice, permission to fly your drone, you in actual fact can’t legally be denied once as you state, you abide by the IAA airspace rules.
One can ask for permission (out of politeness), as much as they wish, but they cannot legally be denied.
Fly your drone, enjoy it, as we enjoy the footage.
      Safe travels.
