Feng Shui is interesting thing in this situation, Geezer developed this technique same way Hamon users did, so his mastery became a stand. As Araki said Hamon is the first step for the Stand having. So
The thing that has always puzzled me is that does Feng Shui actually exist in the JoJo universe as a constant, with this stand able to access it and take advantage of it, or is it the stand that makes feng shui real while it's being used to read the lucky/unlucky directions?
I think Feng Shui exists in Jojo and is a real force. There are a few arguments that make me think so. 1. In Jojo we can see that such things as fate, gravity (between people) are actual real forces that we can see proof of. So seeing Feng Shui as a real thing would not be unfitting. 2. Anasui noticed how the stand revolves around the concept of Feng Shui, so we can be sure it at least is known in Jojo verse. 3. It is said that Kenzou didn't get his stand from a disc or arrow, he got it by perfecting assassination Feng Shui, so if he practiced Feng Shui before he got his stand that means it already existed and was not created by the stand.
I also remember how a good fortune teller was able to discern Doppio/s Diavolo life and personality without mistake, via palm reading. So a lot of esoteric and spiritual stuff actually works properly in JoJo even without stands. I really like how subtle all the mystic elements are though
@@cultistaautistasomething supernatural like Hamon (which is like magic based power) exist so why another magic like power like Feng Shui should not ?
The way Feng Shui is described, I had the impression it’s simply the flow of nature. Cause, effect, and consequences all result from this flow, and Feng Shui is the way to affect this flow in favorable ways. Like wind and water flowing through a valley, everything in the universe moves forward in some manner, and whenever there’s something in the way, it turns. Put a concrete divider between yourself and a bullet, and you can avoid potential death. Leave a room when you feel a shift in temperature or an unusual scent and you could avoid a terrorist’s suicide bombing. The philosophy behind Feng Shui could potentially be the reason behind the various myths surrounding ESP, which is essentially made-up bullshit compared to a massive cavalcade of occurrences and/or circumstances within a particular environment one could use to deduce a potential outcome. Which is exactly why fortune telling and Horology is still a business to this day. :3
The stand lets you know where the most luckiest point is and where the most unluckiest point is. The issue though is being able to understand the stand being it requires a understanding of the technique like the magnitude of an area.
Some people really complain how much they explained what Feng Shui is, but I have to say that I really appreciate it. As someone from Hispanic america where not even their mothers knows what the heck is Feng Shui.
Here in the Philippines, Feng Shui is really popular. There's even a popular horror movie based on it. I guess this is why I didn't hate this fight. I understood the concept right away.
Basically Dragon's Dream has 2 abilities: - It allows one to see their lucky directions/spots. Standing in these places/attacking from these directions increases their luck exponentially. - It can manifest one's bad direction/spot. Any attack or objects sent toward this "unlucky spot" will cause harm to the person, be it from the enemy or even from themselves as seen by F.F's arm touching her unlucky spot and suffering from it.
I really didn't like how Kenzou gets defeated. It's too humiliating. Guy is 78, didn't have a wickedly op stand (hell it wasn't even on his side), wasn't really arrogant (only confident), takes on three stand users and get put through a humiliation conga...
Here's the thing, pretty much everyone they fight in Part 6 actually has LESS experience with their stands than the protagonists. Kenzou summoning the dragon to "defend" him is evidence. It... can't really.
Dragon Dream didn't defend him It tell him where's his lucky and where's is the bad thing will happen to him So he should defend himself by information from Dragon Dream to make sure he's safe from attack
Even though the anime cleared up a lot for this stand, I’ll still die on the hill that it’s stupid. Hey Ya! Is basically the real busted version of this stand, since it can lead the user to their goal so long as a path forward exists, and one follows its instructions to a T. It’s not invincible, because you don’t technically *have* to listen to it, and it’s not gonna save you from being surrounded or getting a bomb dropped on you, but it’s waaaay better than dragon’s shitty ass dream
lmao you say dragons dream is stupid and makes no sense and then you bring up a completely unrelated stand and incorrectly state what it's ability is, another one who can't read
Just saying dragon's dream vs wonder of u would be a intresting fight. At least if it works in regards to how I think Calamity works in the JoJo universe.
Imagine dragons dream being requiem, it’s loyal, shows the WORST luck for enemies and BEST luck for you, changes the environment to be if it you, tells the best time for you to be attacking and defending, benefits you as much as possible

They did this fight justice. I'm glad.
Everytime I see "Dragon's dream", I always thing of that man dancing and multiplying himself infinitly.

The music that starts playing during 2:52 had me hyped man
believe it or not, this music is actually from part 5 and it's name is: "attack"
this fight was considered boring in the manga but the anime manage to make it good
It is a true loss that Dragon's Dream didn't become a Jo-Bro.
He's such great character !
I always thought that dragon's dream and bohemian rhapsody were the best part of stone ocean
just watched the third batch and i have to say bohemian rhapsody is definitely one of my favourites and the best of sons of dio.
Oh, that's why the dragon sounds so funny
It's Brook 😂

Some people really complain how much they explained what Feng Shui is, but I have to say that I really appreciate it. As someone from Hispanic america where not even their mothers knows what the heck is Feng Shui.
yes, i like it, i like the feeling when i just understand the stand, it would be way worse if they didn't explain it.
Same... When Feng sui was first mentioned I immediately thought "What the heck would moving furniture do in a fight!?"
Here in the Philippines, Feng Shui is really popular. There's even a popular horror movie based on it. I guess this is why I didn't hate this fight. I understood the concept right away.
Did he really just tried to drown a literall colony of planktons

With a bit of alteration Dragon's Dream could be a main villain stand with how powerful it could become.
Indeed but it still can not compete with other op stand abilities like time stop.
We have wonder of U
I just loved how FF was fighting for her life and jolyne and anasui are in the background just amazed by it all.

Anasui didn't want to help ff and Jolyne was seriously hurt
The stands dub voice is iconic.

Hearing Brook's voice without a Yohohoho feels so weird.
Drakes dream aged like fine wine
Basically Dragon's Dream has 2 abilities:
- It allows one to see their lucky directions/spots.
They implied that he deserved it from his criminal background (being a cult leader and organizing a mass suicide).
It was a 1v1. Jolyne could not even fight and when Anasui joins fight Kenzou loses.
Anybody who sticks their hand down my throat is getting humiliated, I don't know what else to tell you.
He stuck his musty ass old foot in Jolyne’s mouth, Anasui definitely couldnt stand for that lol
Guy literally had a cult and willingly burned down like 30+ people, aight.
Here's the thing, pretty much everyone they fight in Part 6 actually has LESS experience with their stands than the protagonists. Kenzou summoning the dragon to "defend" him is evidence. It... can't really.
Dragon Dream didn't defend him
It tell him where's his lucky and where's is the bad thing will happen to him
So he should defend himself by information from Dragon Dream to make sure he's safe from attack
@MinoTauruthe bubble form does defend him
Isn't his backstory tied to his stand? He had this stand years before this fight.
Now imagine p3 Jotaro here

ドラゴンズドリーム個人的には結構好き
Interesting fact that Kenzo voice (and also name) sounds similar with Kinzo Ushiromiya from Umineko (and even more, they have one seiyuu, Mukihito)
麦人さんもいいが、ご健在だったらケンゾーはイメージ的には青野武さんの声って気がするな。

Just saying dragon's dream vs wonder of u would be a intresting fight. At least if it works in regards to how I think Calamity works in the JoJo universe.
