    I own several military trucks, m35a2 deuce and half, m925 5 ton, m109a2 shop van, and i always hate seeing any military vehicles being chopped and hacked, but i have to admit, this turned out good and was kept close to original style, thanks. I like this show, not real flashy and Hollywood produced, just a real mechanic garage with real work, and zero drama.

    • @staym925

      @@Gonzoitis in this video? That's a 10 ton. Old deuce and half's, old 5 tons and 10 tons uses the same cabs, different suspension and engines. My m925 5 ton uses a different cab, it's something like 16 inches wider and has tilt forward hood.

    • @staym925
      @staym925 2 месяца назад

      @@curtisboswell2619 yes, 5 speed Allison, has nhc 250hp Cummins 855 , 14Liter, I love this truck, has only 20,000 miles, still has all under coating, when I got it I went completely threw it, all new brake shoes, air brake diaphragms, new bearings and seals in all axles, new coolant, fuel, and oil rubber lines, completely rebuilt engine because it says for so many years that the pistons had seized to cylinder liners that had surface rust, replaced water pump, alternator with an aftermarket because military ones are junk, replaced the starter with a faster gear reduction starter, and a long list of other things. Truck doesn't have any rust or dents. I could have probably drove it for years without replacing half of the stuff, but I wanted to make sure was completely safe, dependable and won't have to mess with anything for years. I drive it everyday like a regular truck, I love that truck.

    DUDE!!!!! You absolutely NAILED that quad conversion!!!!!! Owning and converting an old '95' or deuce & a half style military truck to a full on Camper has been a dream vision of mine for years! The air ride seats are a definite MUST HAVE to travel in comfort in one! GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS for enduring having to drive one without air seats! I have seen many elaborate military truck camper conversions, along with the fuel used to run them. There are several people that converted the trucks to using waste peanut oil from reataurants! They said it smells like french fries rolling down the road! I'm okay with that! Lol Again, GREAT VIDEO and JOB on this build! You have a new BIG fan here!!

    I enjoyed this build. Back in the day I worked for a while on the General Staff G-3 Operations. we had a M-820 5T 6x6 used as a “Jump TOC” or forward Tactical Operations Center that would go out and quickly set up for control while the Main TOC would displace. Also used to go to the departure airfield while units were sent on readiness exercises for local C&C and it worked great. we pulled a genset trailer behind, dropped it and connected, then cranked out the sides, turned on the A/C and coffee pot and boom - in business! However, there’s no way to make it a 4-door since the back is not only tight against but it also has a cab over with the air conditioner. Moving the van back enough for another cab would be a good challenge for Ian, though.

    I love this channel. Ian is crazy smart. I don't know if there are other magicians behind the scenes, but whatever the case may be, start to finish is mind blowing. No silly deadlines (except for the Riv build, but that deadline was legit. The car wasn't completed in time - but the show must go on). The fact that no profanity is bleeped and his temperament is always under control, and the humor is spontaneous is so refreshing. Ian...will you adopt me so I can laze around in your shop watching the magic happen...oh wait, that's essentially what I'm doing in the comfort of my own recliner...

He is a straight up crook. The unit i have has the expandable slideout wings. While in the army i used to see these in field operation and they had radios, blackout lighting, and removable generators and diesel heaters. Cool setup.

    I was bad off for many years. I was told about a tablespoon of Camelina Oil in water before bed from a very knowledgeable person who for a few decades has always been spot on so I tired it. After the third day I hop right up out of bed and go outside to tinker and play with my dogs. I went to 10 minutes of groans getting up each day to able to sit right up, get dressed and go outside. I was bad off as in arthritis, gout and some bad joint damage over the years. Today if I do not over do it I am good. Nothing hurts. So much better than any of the kidney hurting meds I was prescribed for years. Just throwing that out there after seeing how bad this old move like I used to.

It's painted with cark paint cark paint is heavy with lead so that it's not picked up on radar.
