Watching winter fishing in the UK is a superb example of how loving what you do in life is more important than the result. Whether that be in fish caught or wealth gained. Some may say the only exception is raising kids but try doing that without love. We get 80yrs at best and leave with nothing but memories. Love what you do and live YOUR best life folks.

yer fished there loads good little spot down there. tide does rip and come around a bit. Found a dead dog there once washed up. luckily managed to notify the owner and his mind was at rest.

Great John lad well made up you caught a cod, them hand warmers sound good some one mentioned 👍, also I bought a heated body warmer from eBay for £40 absolutely spot on I wear it for work keeps me warm all day can't live without it now in winter one power bank last me all day on medium heat setting nice and toasty warm
The only bait that will catch cod & flounder in the Conwy is peeler and that’s only when the cod are there which is almost never! I remember fishing off a small rubber dinghy with a friend some years ago near to the road bridge. We tied up to the back of a moored yacht, fishing with a 3 hook flapper. We had peeler, black lug, muscle and mackerel for bait. We started off with the lug for 30 or so minutes, but without a single bite, so I changed to crab and instantly caught 3 small cod so Dave quickly changed to crab and he immediately caught 3. Every cast was the same catching cod and flounder. However after an hour or so we ran out of crab and as before we got nowt, not even so much as a single bite. We tried mackerel, lug and muscle. We ended up with around 60 cod and 20 flounder. Unfortunately not a single fish was kept because they were all undersized.

It is an old fishing place where local course you always go and try to keep it a secret but it got out you may already know about it, but as you drive past your mark fishing by the pier just up from the hotel, carry on as if you are going around the great home you may have seen on your left hand side a big overhang where you can park your vehicle underneath it. If you have a look over the side you’ll see that there are some shingles that you can get down to I actually fished on the rocks just before that there is a beautiful fishing ledge but dodgy to get to it, but if I can do it at 67, I’m sure you can. John, Apparently rhyl is kicking off for cod too.. Two fairly good taken from splash point last night. 4 and 7lb. two guys had 6 from there.

Bass always attack side on, basically folding the baitfish in half and breaking it's spine. That was definatly a bass bite on the pecker!
