I also float shallow flats and use it to get into creeks when the water is low on the flats. There are many reasons why I run this boat. Right now I have to tow my boat long distances to get to the good trout fishing. The trip in this video is 150 miles each way and I may do that every weekend in the summer. Towing this small boat is easy and economical. There are always tradeoffs with boats, but my 17' flats boat is getting it done in my situation. Thanks for asking.

I use Shimano bait casters, Curado, Chronarch, Metanium, Core, and Aldebaran. They have held up very well for me in brackish and saltwater fishing.

You seem to fish in rough water, why not a bay boat? Your boat is made for floating shallow flats.
