I worked with an inner city British Asian women once - she was so Oxford Cambridge posh; so I thought she was from that sort of socio-economic background. Only to then find out she was born raised and still lives in a poor inner city Asian area. I had to laugh to myself.
be aware, some of these kids sound posh because they have the cambridge university accent. my sisters both went there and started getting a different accent lol
Some are posh, and some hang around the posh long enough, it starts rubbing off on them and start talking like them, I never understand ppl who loose an accent they had all their life, by just being around others who have different accents 😅
To me as a working class woman who was brought up on a council estate Posh means the landed gentry and titled aristocrats, plus royalty. Not everyone who is privately educated is from a rich or posh family. My sister was privately educated from kindergarten right through high school and then went to university but we're a working class mixed race family but still living on a rough council estate.
Hang out on King's Parade and you'll meet just tourists and students, but Cambridge as a whole has the worst income disparity outside London, some extremely rich people and some on the breadline. No surprise that a Channel 4 documentary about families in extreme poverty included one in rented accommodation in Cambridge. So yes, there are posh people, but if you live here you barely meet them, they just stay around the colleges for the most part.
Almost all the countries in Europe have a universal healthcare system. There are people who call it a “free healthcare” system but it is actually not free. Each nation has its own variation; however, a common feature is that everyone has to pay for healthcare as a society through taxes.

“I’ve seen a lot of white people” 😂 It’s almost like the UK is over 80% white. It’s like going to India and being surprised at the number of south Asian people there. Amazing. Who saw that coming?
Sorry but you went to the wrong place and interviewed the wrong people for your question. Cambridge is never considered "posh" as a place (Oxford is), though many white-British students who go to Cambridge University from private seconday schools are. But those you talked to are non-white young people who dress like going to MacDonald's - they are not posh at all. Disagree with the young guy @ 0:40 - being posh is much more than just material possession. Basically nobody nailed it in your interview.
"We all grew up in Kenya so I don't thinks so" Since when? He said that in perfect English with a posh British accent. Anyone that goes to school in Cambridge is posh. Why do RUclipsrs just focus on London? It barely represents the British people anymore. Go North! ✌
Also I feel like people who grow up in Kenya and then go to Cambridge are probably so rich .. which obviously isn't the same as posh but they're veeery linked
You haven't been to Cambridge then. Far from everyone is posh. It's actually a good place to go being poor as there's loads bursaries set up to support you.
More of these!!!
Will do!
Definitely more of these bro!!
Say less 😈
Just wanted to say I love your content so much, and u seem like a really decent and nice person :) keep the videos coming haha

That was fun! So interesting to see what is posh- not quite as what I heard called preppy but maybe comparable.
I love this!!
