Coraline is one of those movies where kids will ACTUALLY be scared in a KIDS *HORROR MOVIE* and be grateful they have a parent they already have, because in the movie Coraline wanted to be happy because her parents are busy at work, but as she get to feel unsure in the other mother
Coraline is one of my FAVORITE movies of all time. Your other self looks like she'd fit right in! I especially love the visible brushstrokes you utilized on the doll--it really makes the doll look like it was made of fabric. If I had the talent, I would totally make an other me!

The fact that this is themed around Coraline, and you mentioned Night in the Woods and Little Miss Fortune just made me absolutely ecstatic. These kinds of things are my favourite, I can't believe I didn't find your channel sooner.
Oh, and by the way, you're not the only one with permanent dark pigmentation around your eyes. I constantly look tired sleep-deprived as well, my sister even sometimes comments that I look like I've been punched. XD
Hello, idk if you know this information or not. but i would love to make a clay figure/doll, and i was wondering if anyone knew what kind of clay and paint and wire i would need to make one? If you know please reply, if not but you know someone or video about it pls tell me, thxx
@@kyle_fn5941 I would assume polymer clay would be the best option, I'm not sure about the wire though- maybe a medium thick copper, since it's easier to bend? You'd have to make sure it can go in the oven. I don't know much about wire, but it's metal so I'd assume it'd be fine.
For paint, I'd definitely go with acrylic, but make sure your doll is completely finished baking before painting it, because I'm not quite sure what would happen if you baked acrylic paint, lol
As someone who ALSO has permanent “dark circles” around my eyes, I say embrace it!! Lean in to that creepy chic! They only add a uniqueness to your beauty! Plus that “look” is becoming very trendy right now, so we are already naturally ahead of the game! Please don’t feel self conscious over something so uniquely you! 💙

Coraline is my favorite thing to watch
she has such a lovely voice,and is such a good doll maker too!
This is absolutely beautiful! If I could make a recommendation, story-wise, perhaps the Beldam made your other-self doll for a child who abruptly passed away before she could be lured to the Beldam's pocket universe/dimension, so instead she animated it into a regular townsperson, as you said, just as she did with the pumpkin for Coraline's other father! :D
This doll turned out so perfectly creepy and cute! Seeing her with her head slightly moving is both unsettling and charming.
AAAAA She's so gorgeous! It's like you reached through the void, touched me on the head, and said, "i see you. i see what you want." you're so amazingly talented it blows my mind
creating this wonderful masterpiece of a doll must’ve been a very emotional and troubled journey for you. well done.

I have always loved how so many people love and are inspired by coralline. I grew up watching this movie and always loved how it was based in Oregon witch is where I was born and still live to this day! :) love the doll you make bye the way!!
My other me would be a goth with lavender buttons,nightmare before Christmas pins on my shirt, a wolf cut with purple,blue and brown ombre hair and bold makeup. I can just see it now, you really inspire me when it comes to my art, though I am not currently customizing dolls. I do draw with paper and pencil every day to try and improve. I have found that I am better with realistic art,(not hyper realistic yet) so that’s where I’ve been trying to improve the most.other than that you really help me find the creativity that I need for my art. Also I love the monster high revamp series ☺️

This was absolutely delightful. I always find it interesting to see how people depict themselves. The little flaws that are chosen to be exaggerated. I love the hair on this especially, amazing work.

It's always nice to hear people talk about their insecurities. It normalizes these characteristics! I have darker eye circles from deep tear troughs and scarring on my eyelids. I always look a bit sleepy.

I had just drawn Coraline and when I saw this video and I was stunned, you did such a great job the doll looks like she came right through the mini door in the film.

Holy shiiiiiit it came out so good! And the subtle texture of the smoothed out print lines really helped sell the canvas look, I would’ve never thought to do that
The way this doll was made is just so beautiful. There is so much detail into the paint which makes it even cooler. The fact that the doll is supposed to be from Coraline is really awesome (^^)

This doll sorta makes me think of the character models from Identity V! It very much also has a Coraline feel to it. I'm not sure if the gameplay would be something you like but the character design and art is definitely one of my favorite things about it.
Ooh I just looked up Identity V, I second this! From what I see, everyone looks kinda like the Other World people or the doll from the Beldam, and it's a multiplayer horror game. I'm definitely gonna at least watch some let's plays of this duringy winter break!
