Great advice. I used to relish flying my Rollers in the worst weather possible: rain, sleet, snow, winds, thunderstorms and also into the dark. I never lost any to overflies because they could handle any condition the world threw at them. Except the hawks, of course. Their reliability also improved with each generation as the ones incapable of handling it would take themselves out of the genepool. Everyone else I knew was in big trouble whenever a freak storm came on and they often lost entire kits. I never lost any that way and even if they went into the dark, I never worried about them. Though it's difficult to prove, I knew that alot of them would fly all night if they had to. On bright moon nights you could sometimes track them easily enough to know they were still going. I've been far more reluctant road training Racers in those types of conditions due to the fog and low ceilings that usually accompanies our rain.

i always said train the way you expect to perform. i know you know i am very new to pigeons, but sports, and music performance, and dog training all have a few things in common: you should train to handle the actual conditions! when i was training my dog i woud START with "perfect" conditions- no distractions, etc... and progress up to places with other people, animals, distractions. (we also visited the vets just to step on the scale and get a treat so the vet wasnt scary) if pigeons have never flown in less than perfect weather? they could get really hurt or lost on a race where the weather changed too quickly. i also second the statement by another commenter: how much do you charge for rent! those are some nice lofts
You make great points and all common sense. Grew up training bird dogs with my father. He would start like you can then he could eventually have the dogs broken to wing and shot in front of a group of Boy Scouts at an event.
A long time ago they would let birds out in rain or snow I remember cleaning snow off landing board the pigeons back then would fly in any kind weather
Wanna hear something funny frank? I trained my low quality pigeons to fly in the rain I waited to toss them between breaks in the rain , that same week we had a week that it rained all day every day between races and my crappy bird came top 30 birds that week. God bless maestro
It does not hurt them at all. It was cool but not a cold day but I do not think it would matter. Great experience to give them confidence to navigate in the rain.
Hello Frank, what can you say about 3-4hours loft fly? I do know it's possible for healthy birds, but this became a buzz for the pigeon community in the Philippines. With obvious difference between Asia and US, what can you say about this?
I would like to get bands and pedigrees for the baby's I will have soon from you staf van reets the pair I picked up just laid there eggs pray 🙏🏼 they hatch just wondering how I go about getting the pedigrees and bands for them ?
Send me the band numbers and I will take a look.Frank@McLaughlinLofts.com Pedigrees should have been in the box. You can get bands from Vita King Products. www.vitakingproducts.com/ Happy you like the pigeons.
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons thank you and I appreciate the advice and very happy with the birds. And they came with your pedigrees I just wanted to get bands and pedigrees for the baby's they are about to have
You can buy the bands here. www.vitakingproducts.com/ They are about 80 cents each. As for the pedigrees. You now create the pedigrees and the family tree keeps going. I use this: www.loftmanageronline.com/index.php
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons sad sad day for me I have had my pair of Van reets from you for less then 30 days and something killed my hen last night just ripped the head through the cage and one of the 2 eggs got destroyed in the process well 😩😭 she was hen band 642 born on 2021 i don't know what to do to be honest I can't afford another hen 😭 i am lost for words rihht now
Frank should i use the Nubiotic oregano oil daily with every stage in the birds life ? I'm also wondering if i can add apple cider vinegar with the Nubiotic oregano oil ?
Do not mix the Apple Cider Vinegar with the Nubiotic. I feel the taste will be terrible. I am keeping my weaned youngsters on Nubiotic daily because after a few weeks they ship to the one loft races. My breeders are getting two days on and two days off during breeding. Race team get Nubiotic on Race Day and Tuesday.

Dobrý večer, můžete sem napsat radu o které zde mluvíte? Bohužel mluvené slovo nerozumím ale psané si přeložím. Děkuji.

Mockrát děkuji, toto přesně provádím s holuby. Tak alespoň vidím, že nejdu špatným směrem. Češtinu máte dobrou, děkuji za pomoc.

I like the loft on the left
They are old but the pigeons do not mind.

We all became too worried about everything over the years

Great job. It is good for them to have experience which might be weather or homing from different directions or different times of day.
They look great Frank.
@Frank how much do You charge for rent, I would live inside one of these lofts Man, they have a Cozy Cabin in the Woods look to them.
That's funny!
Great condition! 👏🏽👏🏽
The more they experience in training the better prepared they’ll be racing for sure. We don’t need blue sky princesses! Enjoy the videos Frank.
You are right. The adapt to just about anything.
Thanks for sharing ❤
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
You should do a video loading them through the chute.
I will do that.
Very nice 👌
Does it not take the edge off the this birds

Do you mean flying 3-4 hours in one exercise flight? My birds never fly more than two hours in a week between races.
