As a fan of Iowa State who followed Purdy's four-year career there, I'd like to say that the talk of Purdy's bulking up are being way overstated. Purdy was always stout in his legs and thighs. Has he toned up some since then? Sure, but he said himself that he hasn't added but maybe a couple of pounds of good weight. A couple of pounds of good weight isn't going to be that noticeable. George Kittle has even said that Purdy has always been pretty stout through the lower half of his body but people are just mentioning it more this year for some reason. It's the toning they're noticing, not the bulking, IMO.
