I love this movie for all the old and some forgotten sports cars.I think I saw Jaguar XK120&140,Allard J2,Kurtiss 500,Triumph TR2,Nash Healey,AC Ace,Cunninghams,O.S.C.A.Porsche 550,MG TF, and a few I could not identify. Possibly Ole' Yellow.
Dorothy Malone was 30 when she made this movie. She never got any real breaks in her acting career -- trapped mostly on the B-list. I really enjoyed her in this one. An authentic, believable performance. The script did stretch credibility a bit in a couple of places, probably because of runtime constraints. I think one of the hallmarks of a good actor/actress is the ability to deliver a quality product regardless. Here, in my opinion, she definitely did.
Imagine the kids who watched this back in the day growing up, then in 2001 they see another movie under this name in the theater, think it's their childhood movie being replayed, only to be disappointed.
When Peter Cushing was a starving actor in Hollywood,he and John Ireland were room-mates. They lived entirely on porridge made by Ireland(best in the world ,according to Cush!).
Hey everybody!. I have seen this movie several times and love it. I just wanted to point out a couple of cool things. close to the end of the movie they put up a road block on a house "in Mexico". It is the same house featured in " Kiss Me Deadly" that is an AWESOME film noir movie from 1955!!!!!!!! It introduces a brand new actress - Cloris Leachman and if you like VINTAGE sports cars, you'll wet your pants. And in the final scene of "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane" (in Malibu) Also, in F & F, they keep using that same curve only the cars keep going in different directions. I believe that curve has been used in a bunch of movies. Cheers
6:58 I wonder how the heck she could have known that the guy was murdered - or that he was even dead - because she didn’t go up to him and check before calling the police. For all she knew, he could’ve had a heart attack.
Ahhh. The days owning a sportscar and racing it. Can't do that much these days unless your rich. In fact today owning a sportscar is rather stupid. A Kia can go as fast as you can and that is about 70 mph. The speed limit. Say thank you lawyers. They sued average people out of racing. Even dirt racing is turning into the rich buying their victories.
Well, Don, that's the price we must pay to create a perfect artificial equality for all! Many other things too have been eliminated from the simple fun schedule, and been made felonies or requiring of governmental permission/licensing to do. If they could, very many would get into a time machine if existing, to escape this monstrous Equivalency Plan we now live-in and endure, in obedient torturous silence. Get with it! "OBEY" "COMPLY" "BEHAVE" & etc. from "They Live!" . : .
This changes from the Hollywood crap we get nowadays. This is proof we can make a movie without the mandatory superpowered actors. Real men, real women, no superheroes, no LGBTQ++(?...)propaganda, no mandatory black hero who dies at the end, no mandatory jewish genius, no Sarah, no Goldberg, no Freedman, no Finkelstein,...just a history with everyday people, cars and love. That's pretty refreshing.
Hmm......This movie came out the same year James Dean Died. Then they re-made The Fast and the Furious and the good looking star of that movie died, like James Dean in a Porsche. These movies really Are Dangerous!!!
All you got to do is copied the old black & white titles and plots and modernized them to fit the 21st movie industry. The Fast & Furious with Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.
totally lame script, a turkey if ever i have seen one.....Pinewood studios in England turned out "the Italian Job" with similar cars but then they had good stunt drivers and an excellent plot, both of which are lacking from this B minus movie.

Who needs Vin Diesel when you have the great and underrated John Ireland and Dorothy Malone?
Me..and the late, great Paul Walker 😪
these old movies are great and this is rather a good one.
All those vintage sports car at new or like new condition.WOW!
Mexico , back when you could escape there.
When Peter Cushing was a starving actor in Hollywood,he and John Ireland were room-mates.
They lived entirely on porridge made by Ireland(best in the world ,according to Cush!).
True Fact: It was the very 1st film for American International Pictures also known American Releasing Corporation in 1954.

another great jazz score this one played by the Chet Baker Quartette
She never got her pineapple juice and egg salad sandwich!
This is amazing. They have normal people doing what
the sports car snoids were doing in their "elite" circles
in the 50's
Marvelous movie.
Nice Jag continuity in the closing section :-)
I like B movies
I really like John Ireland. When I think of John Ireland, I think Film noir.
i like how there hair dosent blow when there driving fast

she was portraying a typical dumb, loud-mouthed, gossiping and back-stabbing idiot, I have dealt with many unfortunately.
looks interesting+ starting out good.
I like already first 30 seconds tells all
I'm looking for Vin Diesel. Anyone know when he appears?
Who needs Vin diesel when you got John Ireland?
Family
Some people will go four wheeling in anything.
Freedom old days

At least you're not bigoted or anything....
I expected to see Eric Holder.....
A rather lame ending.

There ain't nothin' bout this 50's classic that's not great!! Even the Chet Baker music in the Saddleback Diner at the beginning!
Neither Dean or Walker died shooting car scenes, they were both on their own spare time when both accidents happened, don't blame the movies.
@@fernandomaron87 It was a joke, ok?
And the family?
I made my list

Just stole the title from this one, The Fast and the Furious plot is directly stolen from Point Break
These cheesy films are always good for some good unintentional laughs.
What were Dorothy and John thinking hooking up with Roger Corman?
Money, success and the glory of being remembered?
. : .
@@jamesmiller4184 Little money, little success, and who were we talking about?
She hooked up with him again on Beach Party (1963)
@@fernandomaron87 Corman did not do the Beach Party films.
Where’s Paul Walker ?
Script was not believable no matter how good the acting was
Dorothy Malone?
Fine film but the ending kinda, well went into LIBERAL-LOGIC MODE.
