This gem of a track was robbed of a place in 8 twice. First, it was originally planned for the Wii U DLC but got replaced by another track, then it wasn't 1 of the 4 tracks in the BCP. (WHY DID WE GET TOAD CIRCUIT AND ROCK ROCK MOUNTAIN THIS TRACK SHOULD'VE COME!!!!)
I don’t really compliment many retro track recreations but this was probably the best one I’ve seen so far. Obviously you can’t really recreate the moving snake urns or the Shy Guy noises when they’re riding their magic carpets but besides that, the only thing it needs is an official rearrangement of the music and just making the laps on the track at most 45-50 seconds max, equaling to about 2 and a half minute races tops.
I could probably make the shy guys have noises (if the object they are replacing has some, I can't remember) but for the urn it'd be more complex and I don't even want to start thinking of how I could do that because I know I won't stop until I have a way :D
Definitely the best Guy Guy Bazaar custom track ever made. Maybe not _quite_ "base game level" in terms of textures and graphics, but definitely close. Maybe Wave 6 level, or possible somewhere between Wave 6 graphics and base game graphics.
Hmmmmmm THIS is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy much more closer to base game graphics/visuals than Wave 6 graphics/visuals, meaning this custom track is MILES better than Wave 6, visually AND graphically anyway, like, it's not as oversaturated, and it has way better textures. And by the way, the models from Tour can be base game if they're done right and if they had a lot more work and effort put into them

Im still gutted that the devs had two chances to put this in Mario Kart 8 and backed out twice. Im fine with the 3DS selection we got from the BCP, but I do wish we could’ve gotten Shy Guy Bazaar. If I had to pick one to get rid of, I might pick Rock Rock Mountain (I do think the giant balloons in Toad circuit are kinda cute, or at least decent enough to ignore the sub par visuals.
this is probably the most wave 5 and 6 looking custom track i have ever stowed upon my eyes on, absolute superb job on this! P.S: i always thought that the tour model had the potential to update this track with a halfpipe on this specific turn right here 0:55 that wouldve been neat!
I did not add any, I might in the future. I played around with time and velocity for the final lap song, it's not the tour theme but it should be close
Best remake of this track I’ve ever seen. Looks better than Toad Circuit and Rock Rock Mountain combined and it should have easily taken one of their places
Decent looking map. I think the ground textures could use some work with regards to normal mapping, since the stone tiles especially look a little flat, and the item sets need some double item boxes perhaps on the ends of them, but otherwise it feels like something you'd see in the Booster Course Pass
the stones already have normal maps, but without a light showing the tiny details of the normal maps, they'll still appear flat. Only way would be by having headlights inside the town but that's not something I plan on adding. I did however add a few things in the latest version
less time than any other track I've made actually. Just 27 hours in blender, and at least 6 in the tool to bring it in game. For comparison, Sky High Cathedral took over 100 hours in blender and around 6 in track studio, snow panic took over 70 hours, bowser castle 50 etc..

I was wondering if you can make a version of this mod where it replaces Rock Rock Mountain instead of replacing dry bone dunes
just rename the file inside romfs-> course to Cnsw_34, not sure how the music works for the bcp tracks but you'd have to remake it
