The Typhoon was a brilliant gun for like six seconds. Then you had no more bullets left.
The Typhoon is what I called "the fictional adaptation of the real life metal storm"

@@xristos1113 Same goal, very different execution. A minigun is belt fed and fires out of one barrel at a time. Metal Storm stacked bullets in each barrel and used electrical pulses to trigger the powder behind the rounds in front like you see here, so not only could multiple barrels fire at once, they could do so very quickly. If memory serves, they achieved a million rounds per minute in testing vs the minigun's 4-6,000. That's not hyperbole, either, they actually got 1,000,000 rpm out of the prototypes. Of course that made it worthless for actual military applications as it would be an absurd logistical strain, incapable of sustained fire, and in order to reload, you essentially need to replace the entire operating system. Which is less complicated than it sounds, but still a hard sell.

i like the emphasis this game puts on humans as a species, and prophet as being a representation of human nature and instincts. Like the hunter trailer.
Funny because when I tried to fight like this , I died my ass off ...
It's true. One cannot play like this on any difficulty setting. The Ceph hit way too hard.

I was actually afraid to carry that gun because the bullets drain pretty excessively fast and its ammo is scarce..
Bullet crysis really hit us all hard
Think they put them in certain locations to just clean off the enemies in that area faster and in a cool way with a cool gun you cant take far with you. lol
Perfect exotic gun for Bungie's Destiny 2.
But they already have "Lord of Wolves" shotgun, "Cerberus+1" auto rifle, "Delicate Tomb" fusion rifle.
I always felt safe when I had that gun... 😆 Fantastic game I would love a sequel on ps5
The typhoon seems to be a mixture of the shotgun and the assault rifle. Impressive.

until the minute 1:04 that is a pice of art.
the first time you use this gun was against a scorcher, in five seconds i destroyed and spend all a charger, what a rate of fire!!!
Why i have a feeling that Crysis 4 is comming?
Crytek was almost going bankrupt :S i hope they come back hard, after crysis 3 i believe thay said they were going to make more crysis games but not with prophet. Well i think it would be a bomb if they redo crysis 1 in the new engine tho :3

Well, the aliens in Crysis 1 and 2 was actually pretty tough to deal with.
But you gotta remember, the nanosuit is extremely badass, and based off of Seph technology. So, yeah.. they're being beaten at their own game :D
This gameplay is so flawless, if the game is actually like this then this will be the best game ever. Just hope my new PC can be able to handle this..

This gun is based conceptually on the real-life Metal Storm, but the real deal version fires off all its ammo in around a second or less. There's no stream of bullets going down range, it's just a quick 'vumph'. And then something is annihilated.
Metal storm can be fired slower....I've seen vids of it's barrels lit up sequentially

Every second of this weapon firing is about the equivalent of a Crimean War-era French battallion firing minié rounds at a single target.
I just rewatched this out of excitement because Crysis is back

Actually no, the Metal storm projectiles aren't concave shaped. They look like more or less conventional pistol rounds, sized up, plus the crevice at the back for the propellant. The rounds in the video are air gun rounds.Their shape is more aerodynamic, but cannot be fired at high pressures. Unless they are made from tempered steel there is a high chance that they will brake and fragment within the barrel, possibly clogging it.

This is based on Metal Storm. Metal storm uses stacked ammo fired by electronic impulses. this one does the same and looks like it uses magnets.

in transformer 2 when reedman escape with the allspark shard,ravage used his machine gun and the firing sound is same as the typhoon rifle,except is multi barreled

It can do, its fire rate is very adjustable, it can shoot it all at once, and at a low fire rite, and like you describe nearly all at once

i have Crysis 3 but i feel like it could have been more, when i watched these the game looked incredible, and i know that these videos where made with a Pre-Alpha version of the game, but don't get me wrong its still a fantastic game, gorgeous graphics and exceptional handling in game, incredible game.
If eavision didn't notice or any of you guys, I think the video is included with RUclips's improved video, which is 'reduce shakes'.
Can't wait for this game.

"Overkill" doesn't even begin to describe the Typhoon....
You know that Crysis was primarily made to show off the power of Cryengine right? The secondary was the SP, and then they decided that people might want to play online (the tertiary decision). Most games have something bad about them, but a really good point which outweighs the bad; even though the major highpoint is the graphics, you gotta admit that even if you are having a terrible online experience, it looks amazing at the same time.
The actual gameplay during that scene was not present in Crysis 3. Aside from a bunch of scorcher Ceph and one Pinger, there were nothing else. The game wasn't as impressive as it could have been because it looks like they cut a lot of content.
Bring this game back take everything established and give it a fresh start but it still needs that cool badass feel to it.
I feel like this game would be even better if it had a few of those finishers like how doom has.

What I think Crysis needed the most was like some sorta training grounds where there is a map and enemies come in waves and you can use the environment to kill the enemies.

I've read that Crysis 3 is set 24 years after the 2nd one. so Alcatraz a.k.a Prophet will be in his late 40s or early 50s. I wonder during those 24 years he took out the other Ceph towers, like the one on the final mission in Crysis 2, across the world. all of them or most of them. So this may be the last game in the series or they may make one more to end it. Also the graphics on the Cryengine 3 has improved since the 2nd one, so i can't wait to play it! =D

You do empty the mag in a second and a half, if you hold the trigger for that long. Don't lol. There is a burst mode available.

It does, but not as it looks like as what's in the game. The real one is called Metal Storm, theoratically have a rate of fire of 100,000 rounds per minute. But it's still a experimental weapon.

GunFuMaster It can be modulated to fire at any rate they want. The rounds are electrically ignited, so they can be fired as fast as an electrical signal gets there.
They better make a full-functional handheld version of it, 'cause this game's got me wanting one BADLY.
The real Metalstorm can take out missiles in air. It's actually really amazing.
Its based on the same technology, yet there is no carriable version of the metal storm, there sure will be one in the near future. Its not really efficient though, only for naval or aerial warfare.

actually in the game (campaign at least) this thing fires 144~180 rounds a second.
