Sorry if I was misleading, by high performance I didn't mean maxed/ultra settings. I understand, hopefully at 1080p a hd7970/gtx680 can play this most probably maxed out once optimized, that's been the opinion of many in the Game-Debate community. However I can't say that for certain, still opinion at the moment, but I think it's a pretty good idea. Have a Happy New Year! :)

This image shows that the arrows are expandable (in telescopic form), because if you look closely you can see that the lines are on different levels. Search this using Google search and go into the first image in the image section: /img/crysis3-mtatrainyardfgesiq.png
i wish they put that suit voice inplace of the crysis 2 suit voice both are awesome just this is way better
Yeah, i know its a compound bow. I was talking about the weird riser/grip. seems like it would weaken the bow.

I see where you're coming from, I do, PC Gaming (top end to next gen) is expensive, you can easily spend way over £2000 getting a PC together (personally mine came to around £1200 but that was a whole new PC, not upgrade). Since the announcement of the PS4 specs, PC Gamer magazine (and website) built a PC with similar specs for close to £400/£500. The PS4 is just a tiny tiny computer with crappy PC components in it, apart from the GPU, they didnt skimp out there, but it would work better as a PC

you just banged on about PC vs Console lol all i can is when i play this on my 150BUCK xbox360, and my 42" lg led cinema display. i will have the biggest smile on my face!! graphically, halo 4 exceed my exceptions on the xbox.

I'm a console gamer and most games I would say it doesn't make a massive amount of difference because even though it's better graphically on the PC the environments are normally grey/brown loads of bloom. Crysis is one of the games I really want to play on PC. However my PC would put a shotgun under it's disc drive and pull the trigger if I tried.

I feel like this could turn into life a brian moment, but aside from the graphics, the faster response times, the more accurate aiming and better control what have the Roma... PCs ever done for us?! But yeah I would agree, just my PC will do me just fine for work and browsing but when it comes to games it's not going to do it, and upgrading it would cost me more than a new console if I did it right.

Exactly, currently because I'm a student I just don't have the money so a console provides a good 5 years of not having to do a single upgrade to run the games. I would need a whole new PC at this point so the console is the better choice. If I had the money I would go for a top spec PC.
With the latest titles, it's lower than 720P. Uncharted 3 runs at 896x504 in 3D, Black Ops 2 at only 880x720 on 360 and 880x624 on PS3, Far Cry 3 at 1280x704, Crysis 1 and 2 only run at 1152x720 on the Xbox 360.

Maxing out Crysis 3 on consoles is not the same as maxing out DX11 at high resolution on the PC :)

hey bro, both the 680 and 7970 averaged around 45 fps in the mp alpha of crysis 3 with all very high settings @ 1920x1200 based on my own benchmarks and others i know. sli/cfx were not supported and the alpha code was admittedly bugged according to crytek devs. those preliminary benchmarks you're talking about are incorrect.
dual 7970's/680's should definitely be able to get 60 fps constant and msaa on in the final build. unless crytek intentionally fucks up the coding for shitty performance.

Actually i'd say it makes a massive difference playing on PC rather than console, and not just regarding graphics. They were going to have cross-platform play on CS:GO but they removed it after realising that the PC players have a lot faster reaction and freedom of movement using a mouse rather than a console joystick. Thats the one thing i hate on console, the too slow or too fast and inaccurate aiming of the joystick, just cant get my head around it.

Except that boomerangs aren't killing weapons, they're designed for distraction of birds, and they were only invented by a very small number of tribes (less than 10, as far as I know).
The vast majority of them never had any boomerangs.
Most likely Ps3, however, it could also be for other upcoming consoles, like "xbox 720" or "ps4"

Yeh but that's just common sense, a console is running on old technology, whereas only the latest gfx cards out are gonna be maxing this beast of a game. Will be interested to see how my gtx580 holds up, i think its probably starting to age already :S

Gustavo Alonso Rendón García From what I understand: Alcatraz' body is inside the suit but Prophet's downloaded consciousness in the suit eventually took him over and is now running the show. What I don't understand is why the explain in the game how they were merging but now there's nothing left of Alcatraz. They missed an opportunity in Crysis 3 to let us "level up" in 2 personas. One tree being Alcatraz force recon stuff and the other being Prophets. (whatever that would be). Anyhow hope that explains where Al went.

Probably because then they would need to create 2 separate ending movies where you get a reveal at what happens after Prophet kills the big bad squid from space. Cheaper to do one.
It's the same reason why they killed off Nomad from Crysis 1.
It is explained in the books on how prophet came to sort of "possess" Alcatraz's corpse stuck in the nanosuit, butbi have yet to read that book yet

100% sure this was PC gameplay my friend, there's no way current gen consoles can do 1080p, i just hope this isn't another console port like Crysis 2.

Graphically ya but games wise, I wouldn't say that. Some of my favourite games are still on consoles. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Galaxy, etc. My biggest problem with consoles is that their anemic hardware holds back PC gaming graphics. I would love it if 3rd party games were made for the PC from the ground-up and then ported to consoles, not the other way around. While consoles can focus on having exclusives. As a PC gamer consoles like 360 aren't appealing due to so few games.

Consoles run on old technology and only run at 1280x720 for 90% of games. If your PC can run BF3 now it could play Crysis 3 at a good level. Maxxing it is a different matter.
I keep hoping Origin will croak so I can get these games on Steam. I have exactly 3 games on Origin: Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, and Dead Space 2, which EA gave me for free for being a BF3 beta tester. I wouldn't have bought the first two on Origin if Steam was an option.

That's not enough. In alpha GTX690 only got 40-43 fps at 1080P 4xAA. A single HD7970/GTX680 can't play this game maxed out, not even close.

This game become harder and harder.
I know lets write lots of technical specs about graphics cards because that way people will think i am clever and i know what i am talking about, i am good at writing about cards, i don't understand the technology in the slightest but that not important if i talk technical it makes me look big.
A lot of pc vs console talk, realize people like to argue about it on new game trailers an etc. Of course this is PC graphics, console graphics cards are like over 5 years old, many PC gamers also own consoles, whether for exclusives or simply the more social environment. My advice would be, if you don't have the funds to update a gaming rig to something decent every 2 years so you can have the new graphics, just get a console, unless you pirate games for pc, the console route works out cheaper

Those graphics are sexy, it has to be running on PC. Im a PC gamer and i dont want to bang on about PC vs Consoles but surely the console gamers must feel cheated by EA? Didn't the same thing happen when BF3 was trailered; didn't lots of console gamers kick up a fuss that it shows the PC game and not Console?
