This was actually a wild interaction. It’s like he became Muslim in an alternate personality and started conflicting with himself internally, like he wasn’t even agitated towards you at the end but his own illogic, frustration through acknowledgment of his contradictory position. That's what brainwashing and indoctrination does. He thinks the prophet is a warlord, and thinks him being the last prophet 'stinks of fascism'. But he couldn't explain why he thought that way, which means he heard it from somebody and is regurgitating it without understanding what any of that actually means. Similarly, he hasn't read the bible, but he believes in it. He's just brainwashed and indoctrinated to believe things his environment has put into his mind and its very difficult for him to challenge those ideas. Maybe he isn't comfortable with knowing what he knows and believes is false, or maybe he cant think straight because he's drunk, or maybe both.

To some extent I get where he’s coming from, some people do idolise fashion labels but not everyone buys a labeled piece of clothing because they covert the brand, I buy nike and under armour trainers because I know they are a good fit for me and are comfortable not because I worship Nike or under armour.

Its not the brands people "worship" its their whims and desires! You can even be obsessed with shopping at primark and ironically the high street brands or 'fast fashion' online cheaper brands sell knock offs or dupes of designers brands which everyone even this insincere man in this video buys! He himself is well put together and has his hairstyle and beard in a particular fashion he's following so he's still following some sort of trend!
The whole argument he made was to distract from the real argument it was a straw man argument.
I myself have brought designer wear not because I particularly am a fan of a particular the brand (though I'm aware of it's worth and social impact) but because I've got it cheaper than high street fashion and it's also happens to be of value so it's an investment. If I was to sell it I can make something out if it whereas if I was to sell my primark stuff i won't even get a pound for each item!

I grew up going to Catholic school all my life, and honestly, I find Islam very beautiful. In many ways I think they are very similar and share many of the lessons and often find myself agreeing with my Muslim friends about many things except for the idea that Jesus is God. I've often found myself swaying between as I have always struggled with my faith and my friend suggested I look into Islam. I just stumbled upon this guy but really like what he says. I believe in God but I have trouble knowing which religion, if any, is really his word. I hope to grow in my relationship with God and these videos definitely get me thinking. Praise be to God!

Clothing is a necessity and we are encouraged to spend what god gave us and wear quality if we can afford it.
@NPc Ironically even high street brands are knock offs of designer brands. They are literally dupes and infact they have more unethical and immoral practices of labour. Look into it! Online 'fast fashion' brands like Shein, Asos, bohoo etc are using extremely unethical practices to churn out items especially clothing at a very quick rate. It's up to the individual buying to be able to control their whims and desires and to spend wisely. Buying a brand usually is like an investment where you will get something back for it whereas a high street brand has zero value. I'm not saying be walk around like an ambassador for designer brands but it's permissible to buy brands in Islam so long as they are not a ridiculous price which you clearly can not afford or don't go against Islam for e.g wearing versace medusa head logo on a shirt is not allowed. But the argument he made was a straw man argument
