Great video, just got the X3 with the Mega Multi myself, using it with a Namco Noir. It appears that the Noir JVS I/O has some compatibility issues, so considering other controller options.... did you find that the PXN stick worked well with all the stick titles? I am finding the TTX3 pack particularity problematic!
Just watched this video. Dope stuff. I actually started a project a few months ago to try and make a "custom" TTX2 and although I'm on the major forum for that type of content, I've been trying to get it up and running (all I'm missing is the right OS to work with my parts). Maybe you can (or someone on here) can provide some assistance. It's still using parts from the era that the TTX2 came from (just better parts then the one Taito provided) in order to provide less roadblocks on making it work.
@@AllAboutTKK I absolutely love this arcade system. Sure, the games aren’t as diverse as the Taito Type X but I mainly got it for one game, Tekken 7. Pretty cool hardware and almost has similar parts to the type x3/4. I actually got a couple of them and I did receive one with a fried motherboard but was able to fix it by replacing them with off the shelf parts and loading a dump of the game on a new SSD. Pretty “easy” hardware to fix compared to the console based stuff.
How the hell did i just find out about this now? I got many typex2 games but this frontend with older naomi and cps3 stuff looks amazing! Where can i get that for my namco noir cab?
@AllAboutTKK Hello, I have a question maybe you can help me. I just ordered one of these taito type x3 pc. My question is 1- can I simply connect the PC’s hdmi to a modern TV? 2- Can I simply connect my PS4 or PS5 arcade stick to the PC and have it work out of the box with a artax multi image? If not do you know what connections I would need to make it happen? Thank you.
1. Answer is yes 2. Answer is no. These units require a proprietary connection from their arcade counter parts that they would go in. I’ve seen some jargon around mapping buttons and such, because the drive and OS is Windows but it’s not as simplistic as doing this on a standard PC.
@@AllAboutTKK Does it use emulators to run all the old school fighting games or is like you're running it at the Arcade? Looking to get that Arcade perfect experience. Thanks again.
i have the ssfiv taito x2 but never got to use it, a question, does the ssfiv taito type 2 runs the same as the pc version that sells for retail? i know the retail pc version you can change resolution up to 4k graphics and effects up and gsync for less input lag, now the type x2 version can do that too?
@@johnm4397 arcade is always king. Always, but Pc would be a definitive way of playing. The fact that this version runs on a PC, doesn’t make it the pc version but the pc version is built to be a simulation of the arcade port.
Taito. But the “other” selection of games will vary based on what they are. For example the Naomi games are ran by Flycast emulators from what I’ve seen, which means DC ports, which isn’t at all a bad thing.
I'm curious about what sofrware this is running. What's the os and what emulators is it using? Is there any performance benefit to using this over retroarch? You ever get fightcade working? I play sf2 on there most days.
I have fightcade on multiple pc. This Tiato front end is running windows 10. Just research it on YT and those questions should be easily answered, I can’t tell you what it’s called far as the front end. But it’s all legit. Because the games themselves run off an HDD, it’s solid.
@@AllAboutTKK I don't know man...Looks like a pain in A$$. I mean it's cool but I don't see any practical purpose unless I'm missing something. A cheap pc with retroarch properly configured probably has better performance. What's your handle on fightcade? Want to get some ggs? I'm riggel1983.
Owning a Taito is plug & play from an arcade owner perspective on offering the full uniformity of the true hardware experience. The multi is just a download and the latest one adds fightcade too. So basically it is a pc, just an older iteration. For its cost and if you own a capable cabinet it comes out to be really cheap, just a few hundred dollars and a fresh U/I and it is plug & play.
I have a few questions -Does the system come with the games already on there or did you have to upload it? -is there a way you can make it load one game on the front end? -If so, I also wonder if it has a coin op setting. I have a Nior red I would like to put in a commercial setting with nothing on it right now. This would be great to have.
When you buy a Taito no it does not. Typically from there you would buy a HDD that has one game loaded. In this instance they have had the multiple image made that enables you to have several of their official games load and many others all off of the one HDD or more preferred SSD. If you buy a hardware (Taito) inspect what you should expect, look into what wiring connections go into it so that you can have that sorted out to be a plug & play solution.
@@AllAboutTKK when it comes to a taito x4, does it act like a sega alls or a namco es system in that you need the ssd and also a special security dongle?

You’re very fluent in nerd tech lingo.
That is really cool TKK those systems hold arcade games nice and you installed them in your arcade cab that is truly amazing 🆒🆒👍👍
Viewlix is so modern looking I love it.
Thank you.
Great content man. Keep these arcade vidz going. The TTX3 can run SFV beautifully with a GPU upgrade. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you.
Regarding a switch for the power, you can get a mini smart plug off Amazon. Uses wifi so you can use the mobile app to turn off/on.
Oh snap that’s a brilliant idea.
I didn't know you were into arcade tech. Dude, I thought I was out there for considering to buy a Sega Lindbergh or Sammy Atomiswave, haha!

The card is for control connection.

Yep. In the next video when I load the multi, it’ll be on there too.
