    Great video, guys! This looks like a great pedal with lots of flexibility. I'm very interested, but I am always afraid of tone suck on my amps dirty channel when I'm pluged into any digital fx processor. I haven't tried a digital fx processor in about 10 years because of this. I'm gonna take a chance because I love the convenience of having an all in one unit, but I also love the tone of my amps dirty channel. Hopefully, the technology has improved. Wish me luck.

    I noticed that with my amp (Orange TH-30) I had to turn the return level of the FX loop block on the Headrush all the way up to get 'unity' levels...so the volume level is similar to running the guitar straight into the amp with no effects. Did you have issues with low volume from the FX Loop block?

    Which are the main differences between the HX stomp and the headrush?

    • @rodmiller9798
      @rodmiller9798 4 года назад +1

      Hi David. HX Stomp has more amp models and effects but is limited to 6 blocks. The HeadRush has 11 blocks, still has 44 amp models and quality effects. The HR has a Looper. Both sound great, having the capability to load Impulse Responses for even more authentic modeling. The HeadRush has a large touchscreen for east editing and great viewing at gigs - you can see the tuner! It also has hands free editing. The HX is around half the size.

    I'm a complete tech mong, I want to put my Gigboard into my Marshall JMP1, via 4cm.
    How do I do it

      Hi Tony. Connect your guitar to the Headrush input.
      Connect the FX send of the Headrush to the guitar amp’s input.
      Connect the FX send of the guitar amp to the FX return on the Headrush.
      Connect the FX return of the guitar amp to the L (Mono) output on the Headrush.
      Press an empty block on a Headrush, scroll down and press FX-Loop, then press Default to add an effects loop block.
      You can then assign a footswitch to the FX loop, giving even greater flexibility. You can now have all your drives and distortions before your amps preamp and delays and reverbs after the preamp.
      Take some time to get you head around the signal routing and it will make sense.

    Do you notice a difference when using the 4CM with no effects, vs plugging directly into your amp ? I notice its thinner and was wondering what you can do about it

      hmmmmmm.... i'll have a play with it and see what we can do.... it might be a buffer problem.... the 4CM adds 40 foot of cable....

    Have an EVH 5150 III 6L6 50 watt And tried some Stomps into the FX Loop, Am Underwhelmed. Watched a Couple of other HR 4 CABLE RUclips Vids, They were just utilizing the Power Amp of the Amp head they plugged into.
    I want to Try 4 Cabling my EVH Into the Gigboard,and Utilize the Noisegates,FX,Etc using the HR as a Multi FX unit, INSTEAD Of Spending Big Money on Stomps,experimenting to see what Compliments the EVH and Sounds GOOD,and what Sounds Like ASS...💩..Lol!
    Wish Me Luck My New "Friends In Tone" from Across The Pond, And I'll Keep You Posted.
    Thank You And Cheers!!!

      Hi Bob! The quest for tone is a never ending one!! You will certainly be able to pair your HR and your EVH. Drives into the front and chorus, reverbs, delays into the FX loop. I'm still really impressed with the Headrush for amp sims and IR's. Let us know how you get on!

      I do have it hooked up with a Tubescreamer in front, Pair of Marshall 20w Greenback 4X12's,a Chorus, Delay,Reverb behind. Tweaked input / Output levels, set up the Stomps,.... HairMetal Heaven!! \m/😎💕🎸👍
      Gotta try more rigs, Having Too Much FUN With This One!!!

    Wait, you put two amps in the same signal together? Friends these two are a bad examp

    • @thepedalpicassos
      @thepedalpicassos  3 года назад

      Hi! The patch had two amps that we could select from, or not; giving us the JTM or the Mesa on the HR into the power amp section of the Victory, or use the Victory preamp, bypassing the HR preamp options. Really flexible.

      Yep. I just watched the whole video... just to find that they never actually mentioned anything about how to hook the 4 cables up.
      Duh.
      How do they get the harder stuff so right, but completely miss the low hanging fruit.... that is in their title?
      LoL
